Because an LG C2 IS an Xbox, right?Funny thing is, everyone with an LG C2 or newer doesn't need an Xbox as they can just connect their controller to the TV and enjoy GP via stream without any additional box.
Sure but that sucks assFunny thing is, everyone with an LG C2 or newer doesn't need an Xbox as they can just connect their controller to the TV and enjoy GP via stream without any additional box.
Except for the part where you have no access to most 3rd party games.Funny thing is, everyone with an LG C2 or newer doesn't need an Xbox as they can just connect their controller to the TV and enjoy GP via stream without any additional box.
We have a product for you.....I just can't see myself buying new games moving forward, I can't afford this any more
PS5 Pro is $699. $100 more. The 2 TB Series X is $729. That is more than a PS5 Pro. MS has gone Full Retard. Why buy a Series X for $599 when a PS5 Pro is $200 more? Why take the PR hit of being the first to trigger the price scaling to $80 for games? Because now, everyone will follow suit.
$100 of difference, actually. The 2TB Xbox Series X is even $30 more expensive than a PS5 Pro, which has 2TB of storage as well. Why buy a Series X for $599 when a PS5 Pro is $200 more?
I tried clound gaming a couple of years ago and it was kind of assSure but that sucks ass
Why the raise in EU then ?
I don't find that this makes business sense. If the prices are higher in a country for X dumb reason, I don't see why you would have to raise the price elsewhere. Especially if you want to demonstrate how dumb this reason is. By raising the price everywhere, they are actually agreeing/validating/happy with the measure put in the US.To spread the hurt? By making Europeans pay more Microsoft can subsidize US prices to a slightly more reasonable level. It's also better PR to announce that "prices go up by $100 for everyone" than "US prices go up by $200", because that would make all US Xbox fans say "FUCK MS FOR MAKING THEIR US CUSTOMERS PAY MORE THAN THESE !@#$ EUROPEANS!! NO MORE XBOX FOR ME!"
Bruh, I've never seen anything this stupid in gaming. You're struggling to sell hardware and you turn around to increase the price astronomically.
Who's stupid enough to pay $429 for a 1TB Series S in 2025. Or even the 512gb version at $379?
Why buy a Series X for $599 when a PS5 Pro is $200 more? Why take the PR hit of being the first to trigger the price scaling to $80 for games? Because now, everyone will follow suit.
Last time they hiked prices up, it was to launch Redfall at $70
It's clear Spencer needs to go. He doesn't have the balls to hold his ground with Nadella. Other MS divisions have a long history of trading losses to get users. They bled money for Azure until they hit a critical mass of users and now it's a money spinner. They put over $100bn in AI and that's yet to grow a profit, but they're happy to play the long game there.
The smart move would have been to slash console prices. Eat the losses and grow the userbase until they can reset for next gen.
Clowns at Xbox, tbh.
I was thinking the same. I dunno if the pro is enough of an upgrade over the base to care though.I am legit tempted to get the PS5 Pro since I can probably sell PS5 for more in a few weeks.
Not selling my XSX since I have a ton of BC and Xbox One games on it.
Same, I see 250-300€ ones on my local marketplace in the Azores, advertising 2 years warranty and receipt.Meanwhile you can get a "barely used" Series X for around 250€ in Germany because nobody gives a fuck about Xbox here. Probably the one I'll get for GTA VI at some point and then get rid of it again later.
Who said Sony will maintain their price in the near future (in U.S., in Europe there were already rounds of price increase)? What's going on here, how is Nintendo and Sony maintaining their price points while ms are doing this. Are they just giving up? We will find out in few months time when traffics are lifted.
By a lot too. I bought my Series X in Spring of 2021 for about €520 euros. Now it's €645 in my country.I've been gaming for a LONG time, and this is the first console generation in memory where the aging hardware was sold for MORE at the end of the generation than it was at the beginning.
Nah. They'll raise the prices so when trade deals are reached and everything gets back to normal, they lower them just a little and it looks like a "deal."Wait for a clearance sale in 6 months once their sales go lower than anyone could possibly imagine.
This shit is going to be a repeat of $50 gamecubes.
It works on the Steam Deck. Without any obvious lag.Sure but that sucks ass
They will do whatever they think is better for profitability.I don't find that this makes business sense. If the prices are higher in a country for X dumb reason, I don't see why you would have to raise the price elsewhere. Especially if you want to demonstrate how dumb this reason is. Especially, do NOT buy gaming consoles after the price increase to vote with your wallet against this kind of practices. But you know, this is how the average consumer looks like:Do NOT wait to buy gaming console or games ever again. The prices will only go up.
Yep, and I pretty much play mostly on PC.I was thinking the same. I dunno if the pro is enough of an upgrade over the base to care though.
I have yet to get the Pro, but will now be getting one this week me thinks.I wonder how many will panic buy a ps5 or pro right now if they were waiting for prices to go down. Must look real tempting at the moment
I don't know how much tariffs are at play here, but these hikes are so big, that if would be absurd (and dangerous for them) to offer a completely disconnected price in another market. Why the raise in EU then ?
