PS4 went from 399 (2013) to 299 in 2016 (Slim). Node reductions were much bigger back in the day but still, no one can convince me that they (Sony) pay more for PS5 unit in 2025 than in 2020. AT LEAST prices should stay the same.

Yeah I know TSMC is benefiting from their monopoly but both Sony and MS aren't using cutting edge nodes that cost the most money. PS5/Pro is 6nm, Ada Lovelace was using 4/5nm node in 2022.

All this is only relevant if consoles are relevant. Which won't be much longer. You don't even need an "Xbox console" to use Game Pass.

That PC won't do shit. The PS5 is hyper optimized to work as a single unit. You don't get the same 1:1 performance from random PC parts. At least not at the Dynamic 4K/60 FPS PS5 targets. Never mention the pro.
