Wrasslin' Thread 20XX |OT| New Age WrestleGAF

Meanwhile, Carlito and a whole load of others: "So my release was just a work as well guys?..........guys? Hello........?"

It wasn't a work until it became a work.

But coming in and cutting his hair and calling himself Ron Killings is a killer storyline.

Always knew Phil is a fucking hypocrite.

Hope he .. what was that he said.. chokes on a blood money dick.. or something like that.

john cena getting his ass kicked is great to see
one of the guys in the commentary on smackdown sounds very similar to the late randy savage , who is he?

I'm watching last night's Raw right now, and wow, Goldberg is cooked. Just walking down the aisle and climbing into the ring got him huffing and puffing (and sweating), and he was walking like his knees are made of glass.

I looked it up and, geez he's 58. I mean if it was Shelton Benjamin he'd be able to go at 58 but Goldberg, nah. The only question is will he look worse than String. (I think I mentioned Sting couldn't clear a row of legos one block high with that stinger splash when he was wrestling at that age.)

Finally, the best thing Cena has done since his heel turn.

That promo against Punk was pretty damn good.

No way in hell he's losing the belt in Saudi.

The NASCAR style branding of the ring and tables and everything these days is pretty gross. I'm waiting for them to start walking out in jackets or shirts with fig newton branding on them.

Great promo from Cena, although Punk looked like a bit of an idiot laying in the table (sorry, laying in the Slim Jim table) the entire time.

How awesome would it have been if he dropped a Colt Cabana or Tony Khan dig in there, but I guess it must have been run by CM first.

The best one would have been asking Punk if he'll be wearing his protect trans kids t-shirt in Saudi, but there's no way the higher ups would approve that. Although Punk could fire back and ask Cena if Taiwan is a real country.

oh shit shit he is one of those sad my respect for him just went down a tad bit.

Cena probably should have made a comment that Punk is such a bs artist that he actually got people to believe he was fired when it was obvious he quit. Well that and the only reason he cared about the ice cream was he wanted the royalties.

Why are they bringing back Goldberg. Dude has always sucked.
I don't know. I saw him almost from his debut. He was a freak athlete for sure. I think if he and wcw in general had taken his training more seriously that would obviously had been better and I think they pulled the trigger on him way too fast. That match he had with ddp was damn good

Give him a high profile retirement match, I guess. Apparently he has been asking for one for a while, since even when Vince was around.

What if they job out Gunther to him, fucking lol.

If Gunther doesn't win what a dumb match. They need Gunther to win then Rollins cash in to get the belt.

Goldberg wins
Gunther goes away for a while
Goldberg beats Rollins (30 seconds)
Gunther comes back having put on weight and beats Goldberg.

Sorted.

If Vince was still there I'd expect it. If this was AEW I'd even bet money on it. But I cannot imagine HHH would destroy that much value in Gunther like that. Hopefully I am right,

Given that TK gave a 30+ match undefeated streak to a guy that was so old he couldn't clear a row of legos one block high with his Stinger Splash, yeah at least even money they'd do it with Goldberg in AEW.

what a kiss ass
Publicly saying "yeh, I wasn't actually taking a moral stand. I was just annoyed at a guy I used to work with" is deeply embarrassing. I know people have joked about "the CM Punk humiliation tour" about some of the stuff since his return, but fucking hell.

Also, hopefully this leads to the pissed off version of Punk, which is more fun than the "aw shucks! I'm just happy to be here!" Punk.

He's a pro wrestler, he's working everybody. That's the deal. If you think a pro-wrestler isn't working you, think again. He/she totally is and always will be.
But if the work is "he's just pretending he now likes the Saudi shows because it's going to make him money" then isn't that exactly what people are mocking him for? On multiple occasions he took a very public stance, one that wasn't tied to any ongoing wrestling storyline, and now he's eating shit over it. This isn't "Sergeant Slaughter hated the US and loved Iraq but now he loves the US again."

The cynic in me pretty much thinks he was working people when he took the public stance (to keep himself in the public eye looking good for whatever he was doing at that moment) and now he's working people again since now the money aspect is a lot more obvious. Good luck trying to figure out what he actually thinks.
