Now.....hate to be the nerd guy here, but Jean Grey is definitely a great deal more powerful than Logan. Now, smarter, eh, depends on who's writing her honestly; sometimes she's written as brilliant, and sometimes she's written as a moron. More resourceful? Definitely not, unless you count deus ex machina like the Phoenix allowing her to rebuild the entire universe, but that's just more dumb comic writing. No, I'd say Logan is definitely more resourceful, typically speaking, so I'm curious to see if they portray him as a dumb oaf that she has to help along constantly.
I'm not optimistic, but I really wanna be wrong. I just played through the original X Men Origins Wolverine game again, and though it's still great, I can see the issues more now than when I was younger. We deserve a truly great Wolverine game, and I'd argue we've never actually gotten that. I don't think Insomniac will be the one to give it to us, but I want to be wrong.

Jean Grey had psychic powers before the Phoenix, and was being trained by Professor X to control them. I'm aware of that, and yes I'd agree for the most part, but she has been written as a little ditzy on occasion, not often though. In general though, yes I'd class her as more intelligent than Logan, at least in the classic sense.
That being said, I'd rather have Logan on my side in the shit. Jean is Plot Armor, the character.

We saw hours of leaked videos of the game at various production stages. Let's just say Wolverine is extremely efficient at making holes in buildings, and removing claws in a rapid motion in order to climb skyscrapers.

It opened so promisingly, with the crazy Sandman set piece. But by the time I was shoehorned into MJ for the third time so she could take down mercs handpicked/trained by Kraven himself with a stungun….
I still haven't gone back to it, I didn't even get to reach the majority of the Venom content.
Theoretically, a Wolverine game should be an easy slam dunk, but I gotta bad feeling about this. Insomniac is circling the same drain BioWare is.

Wouldn't be surprised is Jean Grey ends up looking like a man, has issues, hates men, hates men and has issues or has some political or social justice view. Gaming is so fucked, I finished Robocop: Unfinished Business over the weekend and as with Rogue City, I enjoyed it a lot. Because it's a game for the sake of being a game, and a lot of fun. No political message or any rights bullshit. Just plain straight forward fun

I hope the dialogue in the game goes deep into the emotional troubles of being a drug addict and having to suck off strangers for a living.
Sony next game should be about Circus clowns. It's easier to make realistic characters if they are covered in 2kg of makeup and they can explore the characters perpetual internal conflict between being an extreme disappointment to their parents and bringing joy to audiences.

Finally, I'm not the sole person on this forum anymore who realized that Venom was the actual problem with SM2.
Time and time again when he is the villain of any Spiderman movie or video game, the story quality ends up falling off of a cliff. Even his own trilogy of movies were mediocre to downright awful.
Yet the people still love him.
It is the oddest phenomenon with a comic book character.

I think as always they'll focus on games to be released in the next 6, 9 months. And according to Sony Wolverine won't be released this fiscal year, so pretty likely will be their main tentpole title for Holidays 2026 (or even 2027), while in the first half of the year regarding tentpole games they could release Saros.
Regarding 1st party, in the very likely case a TGS SoP is made and features some 1st party stuff, I think would be feature games to be released sooner than Wolverine, as would be GoY, Marathon, Concallaria, Saros or Marvel Tokon. In recent times they also include a first party game announcement, so very likely they may announce there the next SSM project, Horizon Online or the next Firesprite project.
But who knows, maybe it was a pitch that wasn't greenlighted (in one of the documents mentioned that in case of not making Venom they could make some Spider-Man 2 DLC+enhanced edition of the game as bundle).
But regarding tentpole games, even if they announce a new one from time to time, as you said they mainly focus on marketing only the next one. I suspect you have it upside down.. The top is a placeholder low quality scan of the voice actress - Kirzia Bajos. The bottom is the modified version closer to the original concept art. At least that's my guess as the top has the exact features of the voice actress and is clearly way behind in polish. The bottom does look further along with lots more left to be done. Final version may or may not look beautiful by GAF's standards, and Insomniac has a bad track record after what they did to Mary Jane... but just staying.no need to wonder. we already have the leak.
They changed the character model/face model from a somewhat feminine looking woman below to this monsters ball big boned bitch mid development.
