It's meaningless in terms of my support for their games since it's likely many like Drew are still employed there, but at the very least you'd know someone in leadership has some decency to denounce it publicly.

Nowhere in the Bible do you ever see God saying, "Go to this country of peaceful hippies and slaughter them all, for I delight in the deaths of the innocent." God gave warnings repeatedly. The Canaanites were warned for something like 400 years to turn from their own (actual) atrocities, such as child sacrifice, before God finally said it was time to wipe them out.

I don't understand how people who don't believe in God can be mad both when He allows evil to continue and when He puts an end to evil. He let the Caananites continue being evil for centuries, demonstrating an incredible amount of patience, warning them repeatedly to repent or be destroyed. If you were alive then, you'd probably use that as proof that there is no God, because why would He allow that kind of evil and suffering? But when He finally does put His foot down and wipes out the evildoers, you're quick to condemn Him because THAT is an atrocity?

These are all completely different companies, SIE doesn't have the structure you think it does to move around employees like that. The only instances of that happening is when involving internal units (like localization, XDEV, Team Asobi, etc.).

Sony couldnt move a hybrid worker from one Washington studio to another Washington studio.

Folks will debate FOREVER about the justification for dropping nukes on Japan, or the firebombing of Dresden. Total War, in it's most extreme expression, is a horrific, dehumanizing, and ultimately society killing act. Many cultures forced to engage in it never survive, even if they were the victor. Whether or not you believe in it, the "soul" of a person can be killed by the actions they commit or allow to be committed on their behalf.

Shame what has become of many game developers. It happened so quickly. I do not think firing some of the worst of them is really going to do much. I have to think that management is fine with it and culturally it is acceptable behavior at these places. So the most irresponsible of the group will get canned for PR reasons while we do not see the cheers and celebration behind the scenes. Hard to imagine there are any good folks left at these places. They likely got chased out. Even if the studio does eventually close down, does it fix anything? The rats will scurry off to another studio.

This is the dev who hard modelled pride flags into their game.
It wasnt just a texture or something, they "tried" to make it as hard as possible to get the pride flag out.....people did obviously, but it shows you how they are.
