Oblivion Remastered Physical Edition releases October 13

The developers pretty much abandoned this with stuttering on both PC and PS5 Pro in my experience, which is HUGELY disappointing. I see no point in anyone buying a physical copy because it will likely be just as broken unless by some MIRACLE there will be a final patch that fixes everything... which I highly doubt. Same thing applies to MGS Delta, by the same developer, which hasn't received any patches since release on PC.

Will not be buying any future games by this developer, that is a fact as they do not know how to optimise their games for UE5 properly in my opinion.

Yeah, I am with you. I also bought it and... well... Fool me once, shame on...shame on you. Fool me...you can't get fooled again

MGS might be heavy to run but I can live with 60fps on that game just about as its quite a slow paced game. It run smooth as well.

Still could run lot better though for sure.

Oblivion was just straight up horrible last time I checked.

Did they ever fix the bug where the enemies go up in levels as you gain levels? It's truly a game breaking bug as it ruins any sense of progression.

He might be talking about the console version. Playing on console is no different than Jesus take the wheel.
I just downloaded the mod you are talking about to check.

Still runs like hot garbage and still stutters when panning the camera around in open areas @1440p medium settings on a 5080/370AI laptop.

Putting the engine.ini in the right place is only the start of optimizing. Anecdotally, I even set it up for a computer with a mid 2010s CPU and 2060 that taps out at 30 fps 1080p using Quality XeSS and many settings low to run the game smoothly (Windows 10 OS). Yours should be able to push much higher.

It's a shame that I can no longer support Bethesda or their projects. They are my favorite developer of all time.

Companies that celebrate the murder of innocent people are not worthy of my money or attention anymore.

Not just that, the company you refer to is long gone unfortunately.

Just buy used. You get the game, they get none of your money. Not a cent. Win win.

feels game of thrones GIF

GTA IV was broken. This game is just demanding.
What's GTAIV got to do with anything? We could list 100's of titles that have run like shit over the years, many wrongs do not make a right.

This game is just very poorly optimised.

Since I could make it run smoothly on nearly decade old tech your claim does not hold for PC version.

You think this game is well optimised? lol.

Check out KCD2 thats how an open world RPG should run out of the box.
Optimization is a matter of the lowest spec builds of the time running the lowest settings decently not the highest settings running on mid range systems.

P.S. I would not check out Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 if it was given away free as it is not my kind of game.

Optimization is about running decently on a wide range of systems.

Look at the replies in this thread.

The game runs like shit in some fashion across every system but yours.

It is better optimized for PCs with scalable settings than consoles with presets. There have been subpar console ports this generation that push fidelity instead of stability. Many in the OT had a great time with it so mileage may vary.

Your just speaking nonsense.

The underlying 2006 game always had terrible streaming stutter even on a modern pc. I wouldn't be surprised if it's largely unfixable without rewriting the entire game which was never going to happen.

Casual pc gamer in the first link says it all. This runs amazing compared to Silent Hill 2 Remake and Mafia: The Old Country. Not sure who you are trying to convince as others have gotten a great result with some tinkering.

Not trying to convince anyone what I can see with my own eyes.
The games performance is all over the place with plenty of stuttering on top. Can some if it be mittigated with mods and locking to lower frame frames? Probably somewhat, and results will vary from system to system, but for me personally I expect better than that these days.

Clearly you have very low standards of what you expect from a product and that's fine, we are all different.

Are there ANY UE5 open world games that don't stutter?

Delta does not stutter, it's just extremely demanding.
