Peacemaker Season 2 |OT| In what world is he the hero?

I gotta say, the music, while individually decent songs, is really jarring and not really helping. I think Gunn got a little carried away with the GOTG soundtracks but those were much more thematically appropriate songs.

The alien show is kinda the same way, the more modern mucis just doesn't go with the rest of it. It's like these shows suddenly got access to lots of music $$$ or a deep catalogue and are going hog wild. Probably the former, the studio owns the show AND the music so they just charge themselves a crazy rate to use their own stuff.
 
Holy shit, that explosion got me good and made me jump. Did not expect that at all. Can't wait for the next episode.

Well actually it is the easiest possible twist so James Gunn don't write himself in a corner. And we know he doesn't like hard, not that is a problem, im really enjoying his productions (this, superman not long ago) because they are well made aesthetically (if you are into 80's aesthetics of course) and really easy to digest. It is entertainment and it does its job perfectly.

there's something that all the characters, including background characters, in the alternate universe have in common.

At least that's what caught my attention. :pie_thinking:

This is just my speculation. to be clear though there are actual spoilers out there though. since some people do get access to the episodes in advance.

I think I might understand. I saw it as coincidental but maybe there's more to it.

It's fine for me regarding those types of spoilers with Peacemaker. I think the only types of spoilers that would actually suck to hear would be future unrevealed cameos, like if Lobo showed up at the end or something.

That would kind of deflate the impact of it.

i mean lol it could be coincidental. but idk man. it's a little too coincidental.
 
I've been really enjoying this. I think it's telling a far funner and, especially for such an unserious show, more engaging story than the first season. The entire supporting cast is more interesting and layered now. Cena's acting has markedly improved,. Even the action scenes are better choreographed in my opinion.

  1. I'm looking forward to discovering whatever stupid hilarious thing is actually going on with that alien who's incinerating the rat thingies
  2. It appears that I share the same suspicions regarding the disposition, let's say, of this second Earth as others in this thread
  3. I was never a big Tim Meadows fan. I've not seen him in much, and what work of his I have seen he's always played a samey kind of reserved, self deprecating character. But he absolutely kills it in this. He had me rolling over and over again
And now I am going to have to start avoiding spoilers, because I know I am not going to get a chance to watch this Thursday's episode until the weekend. Which kisses the balls of life, but a brother has a full schedule.

I think this was the weakest episode for me, though I still enjoyed it and found it hilarious. Economos, Fluery, and Red St. Wild / Captain Cultural Appropriation had me dead a few times.

It was a dick move to

end the episode on that cliffhanger

I forgot that the role of Peacemaker was originally intended for Bautista. What a blessing in disguise that he had to turn it down for Army of the Dead, because I can't see Peacemaker as anyone other than Cena.



Small anecdote here but I actually met Cena about 20 years ago and I couldn't believe how big his forearms were. I used to work out a lot at that age so I was pretty fit, but even still his forearms were nearly the size of my biceps. Dude is a beast.

Yeah rogan made several jokes on his podcast about that, I remember one of them because I always thought the same thing, about how his arms look too short for how big they are, and they are just one giant biceps attached to wrists.
 
Finally watched 4 and now 5. It's gotten more interesting. Vigilante wanting to meet other versions of himself and crying at the loss of Chris was good to see but he still needs to be of his old self. He would have known if there was someone prowling around outside the building.

Was not expecting Judomaster to go into the dimension after Peacemaker.

The surprise guest star this episode was much better than in Superman. Much more toned down, sounds much better in speech and cadence. It reminded me of this cartoon version:



Now it feels much more like who Lex should have been before.

I'm surprised, I actually liked this episode. Lex Luthor did a good job in his cameo. I saw that twist a mile away at the end. First time I actually laughed at some of the jokes in this show. I wasn't a fan of bird blindness joke

Vigilante laughing how is Dad wasn't gay made me laugh. Although he probably is but just it's a Nazi country.

Was amusing how everyone fucks up and gets caught at the same time. Wandering around another dimension without a care was always going to end badly.
 
I still haven't even watched S1 of this. Guess I need to get on that at some point if they're putting major players in the show
 
I honestly enjoyed peacemaker but at the same time I'm worried it would become like flash. Where they dragged out the storyline.

They have had terrorists and the same Kaiju so far. In addition, heroes existing just goes to show that race didn't change crime.

On a side note I might as well unspoiler my previous post since people are talking about Lex with no tags.
