Couldn't finish the first game.
The "Humour" fell flat for me, and the game was full of dull, whinging characters.

I liked the 1st game but i wasn't impressed with what i've just seen in that video, The Outer Worlds 1 was a AA game made by Private Division and this is the sequel after Microsoft bought it and upgraded it to a so called triple A status! , it actually looks worse in places than the 1st game and looks more cartoony than the TOW 1 as well, i hope that's just a bad video because i wouldn't pay 40 quid for it let alone 70 or 80. and the gameplay wasn't that good either.

I don't know. Starfield at least resembles a space RPG, but this is some kind of techno-fantasy.

I have seen some biomes that are quite different from each other.
Hopefully its convincing of exploring diverse planets.

I can't remember who said it in a video I watched yesterday but the basis was that we need a common sense department that goes through scripts and nudges this crud out..

Or just hire some actual talent..
Somethings got to give at some point. If even a die hard 'buy everything' fool like me has lost interest in most new AAA, well, I can see why they're in trouble.

Man, this is not looking as good as the first game did for me at the same time frame.
I guess because it's going to be on Hampass it may get some play but you could not look more generic and stereotypical of what a Bethesda/Western RPG can look like.

And about art direction- unmodded witcher2 from 2011 maxed out on pc looks more pleasant to the eyes than this brand new supposedly AAA game. At least women there look feminine and most men look manly/muscular
Edit: Probably not many ppl in the west know it since most of yall never pirate but look what smart piracy countermeasure was implemented in said witcher 2

Actually no. Tastes don't change. Quality is universal and eternal. That's why today we mostly get remakes of OLD QUALITY movies and games and it's consumed in spades, while the new IPs are mostly trash.
Even today, nobody says Marvel's cringe dialogues are better than The Godfather's. Tastes haven't changed no matter how hard a bunch of weirdos push.
Bad writers have always existed, it's delusional to pretend these people are "transgressors". The difference is that in older times those pseudo writers were not promoted to the forefront of the entertainment industry, they stayed in their mom's appartments, where they belong.

Compare The Godfather writing with Dumb and Dumber. Thats what this is.
DA Veilguard writing might be at odds with franchise, but it is good quality as well. Characters speak with conviction.
They have made it light hearted though.

Once you start hiring on DEI metrics there is no way back and you can only hire with these metrics going forward. Sonner or later the real talent has been pushed out and only the clowns remain.
