Seems to look as good as the first game honestly.

Dialogue is cringe, but the whole concept is about over the top capitalism anyway.

The actual grammer is terrible. Why didn't they proofread this? Maybe we do need A.I.

If Crunchyroll subs are any indication, then this is still better, trust me.

Modern writing is so damn cringe. Put that shit right next to something properly written like KCD2 and it's even sadder.

It really sucks that this writing has become the norm esp from an old school rpg dev like Obsidian. Avowed had this awful cringe writing and i couldn't stomache it.

More of a taste thing than quality.

Compare The Godfather writing with Dumb and Dumber. Thats what this is.

DA Veilguard writing might be at odds with franchise, but it is good quality as well. Characters speak with conviction.

They have made it light hearted though.

What?! What a load of garbage lol. Veilguard doesn't have good writing no matter how you slice it. "Conviction" isn't a component of good writing btw

Most artistic types are not red blooded alpha bros by their very nature. They in fact tend to be the exact opposite which is why there's a disconnect between the people making your games and you.

Never claimed they were. Just saying that a team of alpha bros would produce a better written game than the people we have now. The disconnect isn't just with me.

Last games that were good by Obsidian primarily due to the talent and writers at the time was and still is Fallout New Vegas and KOTOR II: The Sith Lords.

If you like the Satire and Zoomer Tik Tok dialogue of Outer Worlds then you'll probably be happy with this game too. But it is nowhere reaching the level of old Obsidian.

I was told by GAF how amazing Avowed is. I am missing out. Sounds like Veilgard writing.

You were told that the combat was surprisingly decent for an obsidian game. But a lack luster story.
