New Zombie flick starring Daisy Ridley, gotta say this looks pretty damn class, giving me those "Crazies" feels

After a catastrophic military disaster, the dead don't just rise - they hunt. The military insists they are harmless and slow-moving, offering hope to grieving families. Eh, I watched the trailer but didn't see what was there to be excited about. Looks pretty standard honestly. The scene with the zombie's eyes opening wasn't scary at all either. Still though, always up for a zombie flick if it's done well, and tis the season and all. I do like the concept, but I worry it's almost too big budget, if that makes sense. I find that horror movies are almost always better with a moderate budget and lesser known actors, but there are exceptions and I'm hoping this is one.

Also, the shot with the survivor beating a zombie or monster or man to death and then the character realizes the gravity of the situation after, it's just really overplayed at this point.

I feel zombies are pretty played out at this point and need a couple decades on ice, but I'm a sucker for them at high budgets so I'll probably check this out.

I don't know what it is but the 2 zombie trailers I've watched recently do absolutely nothing for me. I mean to the point where I don't even care enough to have a negative emotion towards it. It's an "I don't think of you at all" moment while still watching it.

Horror films never scared me, but the ones I did watch when I was younger at least were entertaining or had tension. This just looks like nothing. If someone asked me to watch the original Texas Chainsaw or something like that, I would.

I'm not going to beat around the bush, as an actress I think Ridley is usually terrible, but this looks fucking awesome imo.
