Holy shit, these full page blocking ads that you have to click to exit are beyond ridiculous. Just started seeing them on mobile yesterday.

That full screen video ad messed me up. I clicked on my notification bar and my entire screen gets taken over with a "fiver" commercial. I thought I clicked to a wrong tab or had malware for a second. I know advertisement revenue is necessary, but it was jarring.

I find myself often bailing when my screen is taken over by an ad. In a surprising twist, it acts like one of those 'wellbeing' apps that reminds you to take a break.

I enjoy NeoGaf, but this is silly at this point. It hasn't been too bad to just click the ads away for a while, but now it is more ads than content. I'm not going to say I'm leaving and never coming back, but for now I won't be on NeoGaf much or at all until this is changed. I don't even mind some ads, but this is the worst I've ever experienced ads on any website.
