Nintendo stays putting out some sort of new software showcase for Switch 2. I love it. Kirby and the Forgotten Land + Star Crossed World with the Switch 2 update is ELITE.

My guy is stepping all over Metroid, Nintendo can't be happy about this.

If you watch Kit and Krista they talk about how some of these legacy Nintendo Directors run the show and get whatever they want.

City Trial doesn't look very appealing to me so they need to show me some other fun modes to convince me to get this.

I could watch an endless amount of videos with Sakurai explaining game mechanics.

In fact I kind of did with his YouTube game design series and they were really good.

Still not sold on the game though, especially sandwiched between Metroid and Hyrule Warriors.

I'm sure this game could be fun but this thing costs $100 in Canada.

In terms of production values a lot of Nintendo games outside of maybe Zelda feel somewhere between indie/mobile games and AAA games. If they did $40-50 pricing I'd probably be all over the Switch 2.

I like the original KAR and will probably get this too, but that first Direct got in the weeds quite a bit. Could've been half the length and it would've been more interesting.

Of course I'll check this next one out and will be complaining about it afterward, why do you ask?

This is comical overkill, but I'm 100% here for it. I wonder what he'll even fill the hour with. He has already explained the mechanics and known game modes in detail. The only real possibilities are more characters and one or more completely new modes.

Is it too much to ask for a Prime 4 Direct.

We'll probably get one in the next week or two. Nintendo has been doing dedicated Directs for all their major Switch 2 releases, and most of them have been about a month out from release. Hell, even Drag X Drive got an extended gameplay explainer.

This will be surprisingly hype, just wait. I feel like the first one was pretty bare and only set the table for what is going to make this game stand out from the original. Get ready for a DKR styled single player mode gamers.

Was looking for a thread for this one.

I'll definitely tune in, if only to hear Sakurai talk. The first Direct for this game was pretty funny.

This is the price you pay for all those years of confining Sakurai to make Smash after Smash, with your unquenchable thirst for additional content to the point of perverse requests like Shrek and Goku and Geno.

Y'all broke him, and this is what's become of the man: a rambling shadow of his former self.
