So?? Where is the goalpost moving or lies???![]()
Is that the majority? Where are all the indies?
Cyberpunk too.Monster Hunter Rise is one example. Hogwarts Legacy another.
If you are so sure of that, good for you.Intent of OP was not to suggest Switch 2 may not get literally a majority of all third party in existence, including the massive number of devs on steam that put out a game that doesn't make a profit. Which is a staggering number.
If you are so sure of that, good for you.
At least I can say the intent in MY post about the majority was literally about all, because why not, it's simple logic.
They were asking about the original Switch.Cyberpunk too.

...from third parties on SW2, oh wait...It might be time to get help.

third parties that matter
Sure, sure. Whatever fits your argument.counting outfits no one cares about
Sure, sure. Whatever fits your argument.
What is the point of saying most/majority if it is not literally including all but a "whatever fits my narrative" all??Can I ask you what the point would be of listing developers or even asking the question if it was literally ALL developers?
Switch 2 could have all the major third parties, and it would be technically factually true to say it has "a fraction of a percent of all developers".
It would be disingenuous to do so, because we assume OP is referring to third parties that matter, on the basis that no one would waste your time with a meaningless prediction like "console will not get majority of infinite one man shows flooding Steam", yeah we already know that.
Because the OP was talking about the games shown at SOP/SGF and specified AAA titles in later posts. The thread wasn't really about indies. What is the point of saying most/majority if it is not literally including all but a "whatever fits my narrative" all??
So he should be more specific since the first the post.Because the OP was talking about the games shown at SOP/SGF and specified AAA titles in later posts. The thread wasn't really about indies.
They were asking about the original Switch.
Third parties doesn't really disclose the split by platform usually, except for Capcom.(AI generated list)
- Monster Hunter Rise: 8.09 million units (as of February 2025).
- Stardew Valley: 7.9 million units (as of December 29, 2024).
- Suika Game: 7.4 million units (as of April 11, 2024).
- Minecraft: 6.19 million units (as of March 16, 2025).
- Among Us: 3.2 million units (as of December 2020).
- Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope: 3 million units (by January 15, 2024).
- Xenoblade Chronicles 2: 2.70 million copies.
- Dragon Ball FighterZ: 2.43 million units.
- Human: Fall Flat: 2 million copies (as of May 2, 2024).
- Diablo III: Eternal Collection: 1.5 million units (as of February 2024).
It´s quite dificult to come up with data, apparently. But considering the total number of sold consoles, I would argue that some people picked up a third party game here and there.
Can only talk for myself, but most of my library are non-Nintendo games.
Whats wrong with you?please please don't... I understand the desire for sales, but the switch 2 and wifi battles might not be the fit for us.
The first post was very specific that this was a reaction to Summer Games Fest and the State of Play.So he should be more specific since the first the post.
The trouble with AI is that it's just grabbing things from a Wikipedia page. Overall in terms of units, total third party sales on Switch were higher than first party sales (except in the early Switch years when third party support was awful).(AI generated list)
