Seems like most third-party developers will not support Switch 2

Reject at will then the intended audience that Nintendo puts in their game cover in the lower left corner:
As an adult who will gladly play Pokemon games, he's right. The E rating refers to appropriateness of the content, not the intended audience. That is why a game marked T may well be targeted at older gamers, even though they aren't teenagers.

E = everyone = content appropriated for everyone.
T = teens+ = content appropriated for teens+.

That simple.

Whoa, that's my fav game right now.

Right. The E rating is similar to the G rating for movies -"general audiences". The content is appropriate for that group, not appropriated for that group. IE, the Barney movie is rated G meaning it's appropriate for anyone to watch, but it's not intended for anyone, it's for kids.

It doesn't mean that a game rated E can't be targeted at all ages. But the ESRB rating alone isn't a statement of the target audience. I bet there are many E rated games targeted at old farts.

Again, saying this as an adult who will gladly play Pokemon. I'll play it just because it's a fun game, I don't have to hide behind the ESRB telling me I fall in the audience, which it doesn't 🤷‍♂️

Love the quirky Japanese action games like Onechambara, EDF and this. Perfect podcast games.
This is new territory for me, but there's nothing like a good podcast game!

I've been slowly getting into some anime and manga lately and this definitely caught my eye. Looks like a bunch of mindless ADHD fun 😵‍💫

One could argue that Peppa Pig stuff is targeted at kids. Nintendo games, never saw any indicative that they target at kids. 🤷‍♂️

You are of course wrong.... No third parties are going to support the Switch 2, because it will sell less than the Wii U... lol..

Still true until the majority of third parties support it.
In terms of major third party publishers, that's already the case.

007 and Reanimal were already announced. But we could add Yakuza Kiwami 3, Octopath 0 and FFVII Rebirth.

I don't think that is the majority even considering only the major 3rds. There are various games from only one in that list.

Yeah, indeed. I mean if we have a look to the big releases this year, some of them are still missing, like:
- Expedition 33
- Doom Dark Ages
- Oblivion Remastered
- Sillent Hill f
- Metal Gear Solid Delta
- EA College Football

Capcom
Ubisoft
Take-Two
Supergiant
Supermassive
EA
Atlus
Team Ninja
Sega
Konami
Microsoft/Bethesda
MachineGames
Square-Enix
IO Interactive
Bloober
Rockstar (heavily rumored)
Namco/Bandai
CD Project Red
Koei Tecmo
Hello Games
From Software

Just to name a few.
Is that the majority? Where are all the indies?

It's gonna be 8 long years of goalpost moving for poor Rodrigo.

:pie_thinking::pie_thinking::pie_thinking:

Now do Assassin's Creed Shadows.
Is it the most/majority of third party games already??

The Switch 2 era is going to be really hard for you 🤣.
Hard how as I only play exclusives on mine??

Which major thirds? From what I can see, the list of third parties which have annouced or released games for Switch 2 includes pretty much ever major publisher, and it's not even 6 months old.

Changing how? Tell us more.

You will tell us when the time comes. All the major third parties are on board, but indies weren't in the list. If indies are added to the list, maybe you will ask about the thousands of small developers from Steam. As a technicality, they are third party, and if they aren't on Switch 2, then it does not have a majority of third party devs.

I'm sure you will be creative with it, we have many years.
