Are there people saying it isnt woke?

I do think its weird, no matter how we address it to think that people had 0 issues with New Vegas, and other older games but now we wont play them because we know there is a woke agenda. How do we know there wasnt a few key members of the teams back then who were pushing their own personal woke agendas? But we accept that because it was less talked about?

I can understand people being fed up with woke shit, I am too but like you I can happily play the games.

I think it's totally plausible they had members on the team with an agenda back then that were able to get their preferences/worldview into the game (meaning New Vegas).

The world, obviously, is full of people who do operate off of different value and belief systems but that last 10 years or so it's been overt, shoved into people's faces and then add the fact that a traditional worldview has become redefined to mean "you're a bigot, phobe, racist, sexist, Nazi etc" - it's created a boiling point where, back when new Vegas came out and normal people like most of us could play the game and not even really care about it, now we're hyper sensitive to it because it's not just that it's a lesbian couple. It's everything that's attached to that world view and ideology and we know it's going to be hiding under the surface.

Honestly, and I think most people here feel the same way, it's no different than a hyper religious person who unequivocally forces their religious worldview on you without respect or regard for you, not agreeing with it.

The difference is, we're in a modern day pseudo crusade for this far left ideology; and we've been living through it as they've been able to perpetrate their views at a time where technology and interconnectedness through social media and media in general is prominent

No idea how many, but I'm playing on GamePass. I had to force myself to finish the first one. 8/10 to begin, 6/10 the last half of my run as I just wanted it to end. So I didn't want to spend money on this.

This is me 100%....I had let my gamepass sub lapse and this game made me resub because I couldnt find a steam key anywhere and i wasnt willing to pay 60 quid in case it was overly woke.

Lack of keys is why I didn't buy it. €100/€70 for the Steam version and the only cheaper version is BNet/Xbox, so that's a no from me.

Although, I have a US based PSN account so I can pick it up for €53 for my PS5 Pro. Still undecided.

What other valid reason do you (the Royal you) have for casting an actress that doesn't portray the character's physical appearance?

I have more problems with the game being strongly focused on "boring" themes like capitalism or fascism that i heard in the news every day more than the woke stuff but that is a subjective thing.

I also don't skip a game just because of it being woke as I'm going to day 1 the fuck out of World of Warcraft: Midnight, Elder Scrolls VI and Fallout 5 no matter how woke it is once they come out.

It just so happens that nearly every woke type game isn't appealing to me with the characters and the game's story etc so most of the time I just don't get into them or nor tried them not because it's woke but because none of them are ever that appealing for me.

I will say both sides have gotten worse compared to the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s. The world and people were better and more sane back then. These days the purple/left side is completely insane or close to it but to be honest the opposite side has also gotten bad compared to the 80s to early 2000s.

I remember waiting for the release of Outer Worlds since it was made by the people that did New Vegas but looks shitty when it finally released and gave them another chance when Avowed's first teaser was shown but also looked boring once the real thing/later trailer came out.

Besides Fallout New Vegas. Now that was a top tier game and once decked out in mods which any ES and Fallout game deserves than New Vegas just becomes a beyond 10/10 game.

In the first 4-5 hours i had:

Single Dude refered as they (in the very first mission you get soldiers talking about the fate of this dude and they refer him as they, multiple times, maybe they were talking about his entire family but it made no sense for how the discussion was framed)
1 or 2 Lesbian couples messages\voice messages
First big choice is between evil white man that want to use the mind reprogramming thing or strong black woman in armour that has a much more normal plan.

Women are still ugly as fuck in 98% of the cases and the 2% just have more feminine haircuts compared to the butch paradise that was ow1, best looking gal is the main villain and she would be considered ok at best in any other game.


Like i'm liking the rest of the game well enough but it is still pretty woke compared to a completely non-woke game, if you were searching for the absolute extremes of panderman 2 or veilguard, then no, it is not as "modern terminology in your face" woke as those 2, you don't have bipoc artists or non-binary fucks, but i'm still 5 hours in, so the blusky is the limit...

I cannot bring myself to play politically woke games. For example Veilguard. It is so badly woke that I ignored it on Steam, didn't add my library as a freebie from PSN monthly games. I loved DA universe and they butchered it for their agenda. Why do I need to see "surgery scars" on a high fantasy game? Since the start of Dragon Age: Origins, lesbo or gay characters were involved with the DA games. But they were cohesive with the game. Didn't mind them at all. I laughed to Zevran too much for example. Veilguard was something else. They forcefully push everything to our throats. I cannot accept this.

If the game have gay or lesbo characters and they are cohesive with the world I really don't mind. I don't swing that way but really, I don't mind. But when developers push their woke agendas toward me, then I hate that game automatically. I want to have fun with the games, I don't need real world woke shit on games.

I have noticed one thing. Many people on forums are either hoarders, they simply buy games but not play em all, or they're accountants, more interested in the financial situations of the games and studios.

I get the desire for sales discussions, but you should at least wait a week let alone a month.

To answer your question, there's no side quests where you're playing matchmaker for anyone in your crew in the 25~ hours I've put in the game so far.

Maybe you skip all side content though or never finished it. How else do you have time to play so many games?

Playing stuff instead of getting worked up over how woke it might be helps, I guess.

I did like the first one, not love. I liked the shooting, it was punchy and fun. I haven't finished the DLCs so I think I'll go back and replay the whole game if I have time from BF6, Duckov and lately I have been addicted to Gunfire Reborn which is insanely cool.

TL, DR; horrible timing, very expensive vs gamepass, nothing revolutionary, sequels don't entice new players easily, heavy requirements

Defo not cp2077, i love that game, it has nothing woke in it, lets not forget its setting, future distopian america, dark parody of it, to be exact, i wouldnt be able to play hundreds of hours in it if it was even lil bit of woke, simple as that, making parody of all kinds of woke dogmats/their deragment doesnt make game woke, it actually makes game more based.

Its simply our guilty pleasure watching woke AAA games that cost tens(or likely hundreds) milions of bucks fail miserably sales wise, think of it as watching lucifer tv series, u obviously not gonna get smarter from that and are kinda ashamed of it, yet u do it with pleasure anyways coz its simply fun

Luckily for us all, gaming business is super competetive, so woke activists(and stupid ppl who pay them money for making their games) sooner rather than later gonna be kicked out of industry coz of quality of their products- wanna have safe job w/o putting everything on the line- just work as a babysitter/kindergarten teacher or other non competetive 0 risk ez lowpaying job when u dont have to sacrifice ur social life, physical and mental health to achieve any kind of success(and even if u do its just prerequisite, no warranty ur game sells well even then ).
