Arc Raiders |OT| Gaming's Next Mario 64 Moment™

I was playing REDSEC last night (it's terrific) so didn't even get a chance to load this up, but all day Saturday I'm going to inhabit the game and see if I can get it to click.
 
Wiped a squad (well my team did) and managed to get trophy for extracting with 50k worth of gear. Not huge but a milestone for me. Absolutely loving this. Level 12 or 13? Something like that.
 
Torn between PS5 Pro or PC. I'm sure it will control better with M+K but how long until cheaters start to surface... Alternatively I can play it on my 65" OLED on PS5 Pro, but controller and paying to play online... I hate these types of decisions.

Still in the same boat, got on pc for the cheap keys but sincerely considering moving back to PS5 and disable cross play to have a level field especially considering I'm really bad at shooters 😅😂

Man the fucking audio... i was crouch walking in the forest area and shit you not, when i walked into a bush and heard the bush sound i jumped. I thought its another guy. Game is fucking tense :D

Fixed an issue where the Augment Effects didn't work.
Fixed the robotic proximity voice.
Fixed an issue that was causing crashes.
Temporarily disabled virtual tracking for codex trackers to ensure all objective types unlock correctly.
Fixed a bug where the Augment Effect wouldn't work when equipping another quick use item.
Fixed incorrect drop chances for keys in certain circumstances.
Fixed so the proximity VoIP UI always shows while speaking.
Fixed some graphical errors in epic settings.
Fixed a memory leak caused by steam avatar pictures.
Added charge progress hint for integrated shield repair.
Fixed a bug where the health regen augment skills wouldn't work if triggered while DBNO.
Fixed a bug where players could end up on the train tracks by the metro extractions on the Buried City map.
Fixed a bug where steam avatars wouldn't show up on the social tab.
Fixed some issues with geometry on the Blue Gate map.
Fixed the material on some interior floors.
Improved lighting in some areas.
Fixed images in the store uniformly to scale regardless of aspect ratio.
Fixed a bug where the Trials screen could be accessed through the customization screen before unlocking it.
The store no longer scrolls to the top after using the 'Back' option.
 
This solo experience is exactly what I have been looking for since PUBG solos. Arc Raiders matches the pure intensity and heart-pumping action that PUBG solos gave me back in the day when it launched. I have been chasing that gaming high since then, and finally got it again.
 
The devs should make revival of non-party players a core mechanic rather than a consumable. Would open up for more interesting and dynamic encounters with other players.

Well, solo this is the friendliest game of PVP I've ever encountered.

Enjoy it while it lasts.

Groups is a different story altogether.

Yeah I was playing solo yesterday all day, and generally everyone has been very friendly.

There was a guy calling an elevator, I downed him, and went to knock him out but got shot by another guy who was standing in the elevator.

He downed me so I crawled towards the elevator, I told him GG you got me good 😅 then he got shot once by another person further away, I said lets go lets just bail and he started the elevator, so we all left together 💪🏼 thankfully they didnt off me and take my upgraded Sticher and Ferrero Rocher 🤣

Unfortunately $40 is quite the investment here in Brazil.

Been trying to convince friends to buy it so we play together, but most of them have just bought BF 6.

Well, at least I've convinced my wife already lol

Yes. Once you create your Embark account, you can link everything to it. All of your progress moves back and forth. I am waiting to hear PS5 Pro impressions, and if the game looks better than it did in the Server Slam, I will double-dip. The game looked like ass compared to the PC version.

Also, this is using UE5, correct? If so, this is one of the best UE5 games yet on PC. No stutters and I am running everything maxed with DLSS Quality (no framegen) and getting a locked 120fps outdoors on a 1440p UW. Running a 5070ti and 14th gen i7.

You either have the choice of rolling into a map with unlimited free kits, which give you a gun, meds and some ammo and maybe a nade or a tool

Or you build your own loadout and go in a map with that

YOu have quests and challenges to complete, which you dont need to extract for them to finish (unlike Tarkov for instance),

And you have to loot buildings, the maps are quite big (think Apex or bigger), avoid or fight AI drones and critters, avoid or fight or work together with other players.

There is also a hub where you upgrade your workbenches which you can use to craft items and tools

Honestly, some of the the most subtle, yet sublime, audio I've heard in a while. Ethereal in many ways, but fraught with terrifying explosions and shots in the distance, not to mention robotic monster sounds all around

The sound a Bastion makes when it's about to murder you is amazing and nightmarish at the same time.

I don't know if it's because of the many new players, but so far I've only had one encounter where shots weren't fired immediately. And I generally have the feeling that there are now more players on the map or that they spawn much closer to each other.

Bollocks the update completely broke the game for me. Every match is red bars and im unable to move. Every other game works fine.

Edit: can get as game on the Asia server's, that will have to do for now. Any know the Thai words for "friendly don't shoot"

I suspected as much watching Summit1G's stream. It's often a third forth fifth sixth and seventh party chaos from what I've seen.

Anyway, I'm doing my part; I have yet to fire upon someone first. I've saved quite a few people from death by ARC already.

I've been experimenting with jumping in "naked" a few times, it added an extra layer of tension, was fun.
