Mirage continues the historical theme from Origins/Odyssey/Valhalla and is set up in 9th century Baghdad.

The game early on leans on exploring, upgrading equipment and abilities, there's a monster villain tree going on, kinda targets to line up for missions, it works.

I completed the game in under 30 hours, with its moneys worth.

You play as Basim, an assassin led by his mentor Roshan taking on an evil cult.

Pretty good sized map.

With effortless gameplay, favorable cutscenes, side quests, loot, collecting etc. I think this game is easily better than a 77.

Pleasant return to older style games with instant assassinations etc after the bunch of RPG Creeds.

Not really memorable otherwise, Basim has the charisma of a wet noodle as a protagonist.

Nice effort but like all AC games story and characters are terribly dry and boring.

Franchise will never hit the peaks again until they hire new writers

I'm confused. I think I came to this thread with the wrong expectations... This is not a review of the installation process of this game??

more enjoyable than ghost of yotei? yes, definitely. a game that acknowledged its limits, & was better for it...

Quite like it. The discovery mode integrated into the game is also well done.

This is part of the reason why games like AC2/4 are so good. They have great charismatic main characters. Every protagonist AC has had outside of Ezio and Edward have been terrible.

I felt the same way when I played the game but I dropped it after a few hours and never finished it.

Edit: I found the Greek guy pretty good. I forgot about him!

2023??? it's only 2 years old? wow, I would have guessed 4 years at minimum.

Once you get past the 90 minutes tutorial it's pretty good. It feels like an expansion to Origins. I like the ring city and the outskirts.
I will resume my campaign when the Saudi update drops. Movement is a bit too cumbersome for me.
