I actually think this is the best path forward for Horizon and I am not even joking. What we don't need is a third Alloy game with boring ass characters and a cliched open world checklist-athon. I'll take this exact game over Horizon 3 every day of the week. I will be there day one. Now put Eve in it and we are all set.

I think the game lacks any form of appeal besides big ass robot dinosaurs. They probably take a reality shock and rethink their approach, hence why they used korean devs instead. They probably know how to catch the audience. The move to mobile could mean less resistance from people, mobile users tend to be more braindead with their purchases.

I totally agree though, dinosaurs are strong selling. But it needs someone competent and with creativity behind them.
Thats why the company behind that Horizon clone seems to be more ahead in terms of ideas and concepts that even the original people behind Horizon. I think the Horizon clone even put some sort of catching and doing my will mechanics with the dinosaurs, which is pretty cool imo.
Also I'm totally with you with Team Asobi, these guys nail with creative ideas.

The actual gameplay looks a little rough, but there's time to polish it. Color me cautiously interested in this. I always liked the world of Horizon more than I actually liked playing the game, so mixing the world with a MH-like system could be a lot of fun if done right. Different game. That was a 2020 build of Guerrilla's in-house Horizon online game, which is still in development.

Why isn't it available for PS5? Because it's a MOBILE game, the only way you can play it on PC is through NCSoft's "Purple" emulator (you know those Android game emulators for PC?). That's why there's no native PS5 version. Not even the PC version is native.
