I feel the same way.
It's something that Japanese devs figured out early that might take Chinese and Korean devs more time, which is that in games with cinematics, character and storytelling around those characters matter more than lore and worldbuilding.
I still think of when I played First Descendant and just how much my eyes glazed over at the amount of the nonsensical word salad of in-universe terminology being thrown at me per minute, which is currently a problem with some eastern games. They expect you to fully live in their game's worldview instead of being a tourist, even in a game that is only 20-30 hours long.
