Well not a Sony game in any way, but they for some reason featured 2 of their announcements. They might reconsider even that.

Switch version of Kotor II was supposed to get restored content mod, but it was cancelled.

But that was because of Disney and legal reasons.

They were the original developers of the remake but they were removed and it was given to saber interactive in October 2022.

Ditch the nu-graphics mode, it looks ugly. Just take a leaf out of the Nightdive playbook and deliver the old graphics as flawlessly as possible in 4K 120fps:



This thing should primarily be about making the original game playable and accessible on consoles, which is a more of a user experience challenge than anything else. Everybody already expects a 25 year old game to look old.

It looked like really low effort stuff.
The issue is that fixing everything now is gonna cost more than doing things properly since the beginning and I don't think there's a commercial success to be found to justify it.
If management ends up with the same conclusion it might end up being cancelled sadly.

I coincidentally had a save state close to that room on my PC, so I loaded it up (killed every enemy in that damn place with my rocket launcher) and made a short video to show the planar reflections I mean: (note this is vanilla, fully unmodded)
