Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
Let us all know what you thought

C, the leaks destroyed the showcase surprises and everybody and their wife boyfriend knew it was going to be Expedition 33 the winner

Putting aside the Mrs. Piggy filler segments, there's nothing else I can give this show other than an A-.

It finally deserved it.

Geoff finally fixed the issue of padding the 2/3 point of the show (which usually had tons of commercials). He spread them out instead (instead of having a long commercial block like usual), and put some big reveals in the latter half, and that solved most of TGA's pacing issues. Finally.

Games of note...

Pre-show:
  • The free shepherd (Reveal with gameplay)
  • Decrepit (Reveal with gameplay)
  • Audio Mech (Reveal with gameplay)
  • Escape from Duckov (Gameplay trailer)
  • Pragmata (New footage)
  • Solasta 2 (New story footage)
  • Tankrat (Reveal with gameplay)
  • Bradley the Badger (Reveal with gameplay)
  • Stupid Never Dies (Reveal with gameplay)

Main Show:
  • Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic (New reveal with Kotor original director)
  • Divinity Sequel (New reveal)
  • 4Loop (Reveal with gameplay)
  • Coven of the Chicken Foot (Reveal with gameplay)
  • Ontos (New reveal)
  • RE9 Leon Reveal (New gameplay footage)
  • Order of the sinking star (Reveal with gameplay)
  • Exodus (New gameplay and story footage)
  • Warlock: Dungeons and Dragons (New reveal)
  • Screamer (Story/cutscenes reveal)
  • Control: Resonant (Reveal with gameplay)
  • Gang of Dragon (New reveal)
  • Street Fighter New Movie (Reveal with footage)
  • Lego Batman (New story footage)
  • Tomb Raider Catalyst (New reveal)
  • Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis (New reveal)
  • Forest 3 (Reveal with gameplay)
  • Orbitals (Reveal with gameplay) *Personal Game of Show*
  • Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred with Paladin (New Reveal)
  • Marvel Rivals Deadpool reveal (insane animation for a reveal)
  • Seven Deadly Sins Origin (more gameplay shown, looking more like Granblue)
  • Saros (New story/gameplay footage)
  • No Law (Reveal with gameplay)
  • Total War: Warhammer40k (New reveal)
  • Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve (Reveal with gameplay snippets)
  • Star Wars Galactic Racer (Reveal with gameplay snippets)
  • Out of Words (Reveal with gameplay)
  • Arknight Endfield (Release date with new story trailer)
  • Phantom Blade 0 (New story/gameplay footage)
  • Megaman Dual Override (Reveal with gameplay)
  • HighGuard (Reveal with gameplay)
26 reveals from both the pre-show and main show, 16 of them new I.P.

The only slight negative when it came to reveals, was the fact that the very last game was a hero shooter.

Almost all of them with some gameplay added (aside from a few that were too new to show).

Caught between a B- and a C+. There were some authentically cool reveals (two Star Wars games, two Tomb Raider games, Pragmata for Switch 2, etc.), and, honestly, the ratio of interesting titles to slop was probably a fair amount higher than most TGA/SGF shows, but, god damn, that may be the worst final reveal in Game Awards history.

I have interest in all of the following:
Decrepit
Audio Mech
Escape from Duckov
Solasta II
Tank Rat
Stupid Never Dies
Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic
Divinity
Ontos
Warlock - D&D
Screamer
Control Resonant
Gang of Dragon
Tomb Raider Catalyst
Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis
No Law
Total Warhammer 40K
Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve
Star Wars: Galactic Racer
Out of Words

The final reveal/announcement was fucking awful.

I give it a B.

Hard to imagine walking away from that show without a handful of things to look forward to. Personally, I'm interested in these:

The free shepherd
Pragmata Demo
Ontos
Gang of Dragon
Saros
Total War: Warhammer40k
Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve
Star Wars Galactic Racer

I gave it a C and that was being generous. Major downgrades for all the overly long acceptance speeches and special interest BS that they need to cut from the show.
A D might've been too harsh given that there was a few bangers that got me excited although way the F out from release.

Only game I cared for was Phantom Blade 0, which I've seen plenty of already.

Ending on a fucking PvP GAAS TRASH UGLY AS FUCK game is inexcusable. 2/10 show. He deserves any slack he's gonna get for that finale.

Seriously, ending with that shit ass game makes it impossible to give it a passing grade.

F.

It gets more and more pretentious every year.

He is taking the piss with that last reveal and no I wasn't expecting any kind of Half Life 3 announcement.

Some decent reveals but with a disappointing lack of gameplay for some of them.

I would give it a C.

He is not going to change, he has been successful with this and the viewer count is obviously high so why change?

Personally I would like to see him have less of an influence on the overall year with these shows, have new people have a go or maybe him stick to the TGA .

No big reveals at the start or at the end. Well at least I got that portal skin for PoE2 lol.

I think the "not Yakuza but definately Yakuza" game was the highlight of the show for me. That Divinity game might be good if they switch genres.

And this is exactly why I stopped looking gaming GAF and other social media gaming sites a week before, so that I could actually experience a show with hyped moments and cool surprises.

Geoff's show always leaks.

Other than Tomb raider and Ace Combat, it was a solid F. I think I'll stop watching these shows going forward and wait for the trailers to come out.

It's a big waste of time. Very boring filled with uninteresting segments and poor reveals.

Street Fighter
Resident Evil 9
Warhammer 40k Total Wars

S TIer!

Was hoping for Half Life 3, Tides of ANnhilation, GTA VI, Witcher 4, and Elder Scrolls VI but they already did amazing!

Not much for me as far as announcements go, but overall I didnt think it was a bad show. But by virtue of the fact that I primarily care about this for new games, it's a C.

Glad Clair Obscure won a lot and has new content, new Tomb Raider (s), new Fractional game, Control, Soras, Divinity, look good, but overall pretty terrible show for me. Plus nonstop weebs games just ruining any momentum that was gathering, then to end with a hero shooter type of game was such a let down. Also, still not sold on Resident Evil, just giving me real bad vibes.

It was the first TGA that I truly enjoyed. Lots of interesting games, welcome surprises, and announcements.

With what was announced here and other what we already know... 2026 is shaping up to be an exceptional year.

I've marked it a D.

The 1st half had most of the best trailers. Control 2, Divinity, Fate of the Old Republic. After Tomb Raider it just nose-dived, ending on a 2D Mega Man game, and generic hero shooter #345.

Where was the big Sega announcement?

B minus, for me just because of Pragmata, RE9, Saros, Phantom blade, Mega man, and Ace combat 8. The final reveal was a big minus which should have been an A minus, for me if it was a big game like HL3 or Bloodborne 2 or new GOW, not just a gaas.
