I have to admit the terminal looks very cool.. I feel like I'm hacking the matrix just by opening it - and the 'ujust' commands seem like a clever way to simplify things. I was just making the point that Bazzite is easy to use.You might not necessarily want to use the terminal, but you should check out those you ujust commands the have bazite. It's a perfect introduction to the terminal. Essentially it's a task runner that has custom commands that do more complex stuff you might want to set up. I didn't look at that stuff for over a year but I wish I did. It's really cool. I'm fine with the terminal, otherwise but I just never needed to open it with bazite.
I agree with not dual-booting (I already made that mistakeIf Bazzite could run Battlefield 6 then I would switch in a heartbeat but it can't so I'm stuck on Windows for now.
Dual booting is too much of a hassle as well.
Edit: Just to clarify. I move my PC back and forth between my desk and my TV and therefore I auto login + boot into BPM. I really don't want to have to either choose what to boot into every single time I turn my PC on or reboot my device and manually choose in order to play Battlefield or vice versa.

Do you have an android or other TV sticks on your TV? Something might have Moonlight available which would let you play on your TV from your desk without all the moving. If Bazzite could run Battlefield 6 then I would switch in a heartbeat but it can't so I'm stuck on Windows for now.

Bro just wants to throw hands all nightCrayon:
Yes I think linux > windows for gaming. Reply with something sensible, though. Or at least try. It doesn't even need to be respectful. Just try a "cool story bro" or something. That would be a step up.
Rodrigo:
Show us the majority of games working and/or working better and with less tinkering on Linux vs Windows then.
...
There's a difference between arguing and fighting.
I use both so who is hating what again???
I'm still very interested in the Steam Machine but it's all price dependent.I agree with not dual-booting (I already made that mistake). I want either the new Steam Machine or a small PC I can slap Bazzite on for my Linux fix for now on. Maybe even try to get local streaming set up so I don't have to lug the Windows machine downstairs!
It's not actually a big deal to move it really. My desk is in the living room (2 bedroom house but my girlfriend works from home so uses 1 bedroom for WFH) on the same wall as the couch so it's just moving it across the room and my pc is in a ITX case (Fractal Terra) so it's tiny as well.Do you have an android or other TV sticks on your TV? Though I do the reverse and have the PC behind the TV, and a mini PC for normal usage and indie games. If I want to play something heavy at my desk I can stream it.
Imagine if people thought the same way about people enjoying or not enjoying PlayStation or Xbox. There would be thousands of Sony and Microsoft employees here lolhe's gotta be a MSFT employee or shareholder
Probably fine, but it will require more setup compared to the "out of the box" experience of Bazzite, Cachy, or Nobara.Whats Ubuntu like for gaming?

The simple answer: There is an OS war growing. You need to get used to all this. The more Linux, and SteamOS, grow the more discussions of this kind you'll see.
So, enjoy!
And as with console vs PC gaming some people just want to play. Every interruption is an annoyance. And even on PC there are those don't think it should be common to go into discords looking for fixes or try different versions of OS to find the one working the best. What is a 3 seconds fix for one person can be a headache for another person and the final reason to just skip it all.
Saying Windows > Linux for gaming is hating Linux?? I say pizza > lasanha means I hate lasanha?? Things are only 8 or 80, there is nothing in between??Bro just wants to throw hands all night
If you actually try to answer him he moves the goalposts or names one game that you can't run because of kernel anticheat
Still you bubs
You crying again without counter arguments??Other people finally realizing that arguing with rodrigolf is like arguing with fucking Chris Chan
It would take years to find receipts for all your retarded bullshit. You're not worth the time. You crying again without counter arguments??
You don't have to buy it. But that's what's happening. OS war is coming. It has always been brewing in the background but it'll go into overdrive over the next couple years. Windows getting fullscreen mode, Xbox becoming a PC, Steam Machine launching, Nvidia Linux support improving, etc. It'll be LOUD.Nah, I don't buy that.
I understand console warring because people want to justify/support/whatever their investment. You can't really just tell someone "hey you should try PlayStation, it's really come a long way and I prefer it to Xbox" because the content isn't transferable between platforms. Happens all the time even outside gaming too.
In this case, there's no investment outside like an hour or two of your time? Which is why I call out Rodrigo for being so continuously negative and picking a fight with anyone that speaks positively about their experience with Bazzite/linux.
We get it, league and wow are harder to get working and for your use case it may not be the best option. You decided it's not for you, now fuck off so the adults can be constructive.
