Did you get this resolved? Tried relaunching the app? I get this bug occasionally but relaunching the app fixes it. I've had this bug since the ea app launched. It's ridiculousI guess I made the huge mistake of buying the game via the EA app because I wanted all my Battlefield games in one place. Battlefield 6 just randomly disappeared from my library and it's acting like I never owned it, lmao. I've been talking to their support via live chat and it's been one of the worst experiences I've ever had.
DICE was always very technically component when it came to their engine. BF2, for example, was incredible considering the hardware it ran on. I think not going the RT route was actually the best approach for BF6 as well even though it may have sounded strange when they revealed this.So I got a question, how in the hell is this so much smaller than the latest call of duty, even with everything installed (hd textures and all) and yet still looks better? Same was true for battlefield 2042, while not a great game it still looked better than any COD that came after. Even just the multiplayer from black ops 7 is just massive waste of space.
Games still designed for HDDs have many copies of the same data to speed up load times. So I got a question, how in the hell is this so much smaller than the latest call of duty, even with everything installed (hd textures and all) and yet still looks better? Yeah, fortunately. I ended up trying the "App Caching" thing and it fixed it I guess. I was thinking that wouldn't fix it as a couple of months ago a number of people had a similar issue appear and they just refunded the game, lol. It's a pretty severe bug considering the entire platform displays the game as if you don't own it. So bizarre.Did you get this resolved? Tried relaunching the app? I agree it's young and I'm also of the mind that it's gonna be fine, BF6 is great at its core and is fun it just needs tweaks and more maps etc.. I love it overall personally and if they keep doing events like what they been doing I'll be happy, been alot of fun doing the winter offensiveThe streamer doom posting phase has been well and truly executed then. I watched the JackFrags vid and agree with most of his complaints, but I don't subscribe to the implication overall that BF6 is in some kind of freefall, which is just ridiculous. The game's young and it is so enjoyable to me, even though I recognise there are lots of improvements to be made and issues to fix. Let them finish their Christmas break and we'll wait and see.
In retrospect I think the biggest mistake or oversight was to release the game so close to Arc Raiders. Although to be fair, few thought that game was going to turn into the phenomenon it has, and I know for a fact people migrated to it straight from BF6 and haven't yet come back. Arc Raiders is a great game, with the Destiny style psychology hooks built in from its conception. Thus, some players who have been ensnared won't be able to let go for months or years. Battlefield has probably lost those players for good.

tried not working.Checked them, 3 files failed
rectified it, but still getting that error.
will try older drivers and see
Isn't part of the problem that COD doesn't really compress anything? I feel like I saw that at some point that a ton of shit if uncompressed so every single skin on the store and everything is stored in it's full size.![]()

Every COD game since MW2019 for some reason has a massive language audio file and I don't know why. Battlefield has much better audio design yet it's a quarter of the size. I'm sure this isn't the only reason, but it's definitely a part of the problem.
one of the most sensationalist post I've seen in some time. They chased the COD crowd - who played the game for a month - and now they are out.
In doing so - they alienated their actual longtime Battlefield fanbase.
Effectively killing their own game and probably the franchise itself in the process.
GG.
All they need to do is copy and paste Battlefield 2 and 3 for modern consoles and Battlefield fans would be happy.
But they just keep wanting to COD-it up.
They get what they deserve - no one playing your game.
I like most of what he is saying, but that isn't really a fix that can happen year 1. They would need a larger team focusing on just that aspect and in the mean time, they would have to maybe remake 2 older maps to fulfill that request, like 2 new, 2 old school maps remade etc
That isn't a "we can do this next season" type thing, it takes like 6 plus months to make a new map, which means they would already need to have such a thing planned in order to even start doing what he is asking.
So maybe BF7 (I say this based on us not knowing what it will be called ,relax folks lol) they can increase that support studio size and have a 4 or 5 map per season thing planned.
I think the team's focus on quality is the right call and we are only here talking about records broken BECAUSE that was their focus at the time, you don't get the players without that focus and I think so far, they made all the right calls. Lets get BF where it needs to be in terms of its root core concept and quality and talk about the DLC later.
If those treats come after, then so be it.
The honeymoon phase is finally over for many people, it seems. Now we're finally getting YouTubers and streamers doing their "what went wrong?" shtick. Gee idk maybe it's the shit many of us were concerned about since the beta? But the EA bootlickers worked overtime to assure everyone that it would be fine in the full game...
Also doesn't help that every major update has broken the game in some way.
I disagree, more then enough here supports it being the successor to those games. The game is a regression from 3/4 in countless ways eventhough they billed it as the successor to them. We shouldn't have to wait for basic things like proper Battlefield maps and properly balanced vehicles.
The actually ignored the COD freaks complaining about movement, this is nothing like CODThey chased the COD crowd - who played the game for a month - and now they are out.

Map design says otherwise. There isnt a single Battlefield map in BF6.The actually ignored the COD freaks complaining about movement, this is nothing like COD
what do you need to spend another 20 bucks on?Wake me up when they release bigger maps and stop trying to crave to CoD players that will buy the next CoD regardless of the quality.
BF6 is a huge disappointment, it started great, but the lack of good maps and "Yeah, you already payed 80 buck, but what about another 20?"
I'm saying, I think they are lying. I don't think they own this game and its odd to say this like "another 20" cause I'm confused on what that means. They are operating on a dated assumption based on generations ago of BF, which means even last generation, they likely did not play the BF IP, they would have already known they no longer charge for maps..what do you need to spend another 20 bucks on?
I disagree, more then enough here supports it being the successor to those games.
Shouldn't have to wait? Is it suppose to just appear out of thin air? lol
Those things still take time and I'm fine with the maps as they strike a balance between the open classic maps and the tight smaller infantry maps.
tmlDan folks will cry regardless. This is easily the smoothest BF to ever launch, outsells call of duty, folks find a way to cry lol
Let see when they roll out a game that beats Call Of Duty, releases with 100 maps and zero issues...since they know so much lol Arm Chair developers here lol
The game doesn't strike any balance. The vast majority of the maps are not only small and cramped, but they're poorly designed with gameplay that forces everyone into chokepoints and removes the sense of scale, freedom, and being able to take different approaches and tactics that have been staples of the series for decades. Dont even get me started on the fact that you can lift off in a jet or chopper and immedaitely be targeted from across the map. Its like they didn't even playtest the aircraft.
Lets not even forget that all the good stuff that have been staples of the franchise and good additions over the years that have been completely stripped out. No Naval warfare, no dynamic weather, no big levolution events, no behemoths, no fortifications, nothing.
The game is a shell of what it should be, and the live service model isn't helping. A month after BF3's launched we had FOUR whole new maps, new vehicles, new weapons, new everything. Now we're getting drip fed 1-2 maps every few months complete with a miniscule amount of new weapons and vehicles and crappy challenges to go along with them. I'd much rather pay an extra $15 every few months and get awesome map packs with a bunch of additional content that actually benefits the game. Instead we're paying $20+ for a battle pass that makes us grind to unlock dumb skins and cosmetics that are slowly doing away with the grounded military aesthetic.
I could go on and on but i'd rather not type up a small paper lol
