Some people have more than 1 platform and like to know what version(s) to get.it makes no sense.
yes i get that but comparing them next to each other is just so pointless.Evaluating how the same game looks on various platforms has been going on for a few decades now. If you don't like comparison threads then this thread isn't for you, I guess.
yes i get that but comparing them next to each other is just so pointless.
Why do you think that?yes i get that but comparing them next to each other is just so pointless.
It's docked. It looks better in a lot of places over the Series S.why do people compare handhelds to stationary consoles just as stupid as comparing consoles to pc.
Just ignore that it needs to be an upscaled Switch 1 game to do those things, or are you saying that it can do 4K, 120fps, and RT in brand new games like RE9 and Pragmata, asking for a future message I can quote.Basically this console

It was the same in RE3R, even though both 'Pro' consoles were set to 1620p CB.Resident Evil 4 was a curious case because the native resolution and fps on PS5 was some higher, but the image quality on Xbox Series X was much better due to the upscaling method and better VRR.
I didn't see Videos, Nintendo Switch 2 30fps or 60fps ?
The best comparison so far…
With the caveat that the resolution values are very often incorrect in his videos. The best comparison so far…
In the 45-60 range.I didn't see Videos, Nintendo Switch 2 30fps or 60fps ?
LOL. It amuses me that these conclusions are being drawn based on a single case and widespread misinformation.Switch 2 looking slightly better than the console that companies are ditching Xbox for so they don't have to support it.
When publishers spend millions getting games working on this underpowered hardware and they get no sales they're going to stop trying, especially in the modern industry where that money could be better spent on GAAS investment.

Some times it looks better on series s sometimes better on switch 2 in this comparison. not a huge difference at least in this comparisons.
Switch 2 always looks better because of textures and resolution. Series S has the performance advantage. In a big screen the difference is pretty noticeable. Some times it looks better on series s sometimes better on switch 2 in this comparison. not a huge difference at least in this comparisons.
I played the demo ~30 minutes ago and shadows weren't there on Pro. PC version has them:

Both versions also have the same RT artifacts.
Edit: Looks like they changed some localization details between PC demo and PS5 demo, interesting.
but series s looks sharper sometimes just open a 2 tabs and look at the videos back and fourth..Switch 2 always looks better because of textures and resolution. Series S has the performance advantage. In a big screen the difference is pretty noticeable.
I tested both games in the same tv back and forward, the resolution in the Series S looks like an 720p Xbox one game and the details flickers and some textures doesn't load properly. I am pretty sure that DF is going to make the same observations… IQ is way better on SW2, every single time. On a 85 inch TV.but series s looks sharper sometimes just open a 2 tabs and look at the videos back and fourth..
yea maybe sometimes its hard to judge things off a youtube video, most impressions are not happy with series s resolution at least the latin countries, but you were pretty wrong on performance its not close.I tested both games in the same tv back and forward, the resolution in the Series S looks like an 720p Xbox one game and the details flickers and some textures doesn't load properly. Here's the answer.
IDK. I'm in a hospital with little mobile connection. I can only see the thumbnail that says "quality mode".I don't see any modes to select on Pro. Base versions have them?
Nah, this is RTX vs no RTX. PS5 does Global Illumination and Ray Tracing. Here's the answer.
It does in quality mode but pathtracing is one step above in terms of accuracy of the reflections and the GI.I figured the PS5 version had some sort of ray tracing. Guess not.
It is no RT vs Pathtracing, yes, but the PS5 does not have pathtracing and you can clearly see the much better reflections in this video.Nah, this is RTX vs no RTX. PS5 does Global Illumination and Ray Tracing.
Curious what the difference is between PS5 Ray Tracing / GI and Full Path Tracing.
Don't EVER trust El Analista de Bits pixel count or anything beyond simple side-by-side comparison, wait for an actual good source (DF, even Switch Up, Brazil guy, etc.)Base version have Performance and Quality modes, Quality runs unlocked to 60 and has RT. Seems like it's always within the VRR window (on Xbox at least) so I think that's the one I'll stick with.

also, wtf is going on with the Series S version, why does it look so much worse than Switch 2 despite running higher resolution(s) ?

Smoking too much..one looks like something this gen the other looks like it belongs in a museum. I am only going off what my eyes tell me. I think the S2 version is nice. Dlss is doing so much lifting.I found it funny that there was someone on here that couldn't tell the difference.
Same. The PC versions path tracing looks really good. Definitely a game I'm going to buy on PC over console.Curious about PC vs PS5
why do people compare handhelds to stationary consoles just as stupid as comparing consoles to pc.
Better upscaling technology. Even the gimped version of DLSS seems to be better then what's being used on Series S.Base version have Performance and Quality modes, Quality runs unlocked to 60 and has RT. Seems like it's always within the VRR window (on Xbox at least) so I think that's the one I'll stick with.

There is no direct comparison yet i think.
Same with RE9, it will have PT on PC too.
Probably the most natural looking hair I've seen in a game yet.Man, hair looks kinda rough.

Wasn't this channel outed as being fake?
Probably the most natural looking hair I've seen in a game yet.
In stills, of course.
That's probably the only thing Veilguard excels at... the hair rendering. It's the best i've seen so far in any game.Probably the most natural looking hair I've seen in a game yet.

channel is not fake its just bad with figuring out resolution numbers.Better upscaling technology. Even the gimped version of DLSS seems to be better then what's being used on Series S.

Oh no my hydro bill will bankrupt me!against a machine with 3-4 times more power usage
yea i never look at those but for comparing graphics its better then most.and when figuring out how to use FPS counting software... so basically any real metric given by that channel should be discarded
Literally I played that section in my pro and I can see the shadows. It's a bug affecting both PS5 versions, sometimes the shadows are bugged and don't appear
also, wtf is going on with the Series S version, why does it look so much worse than Switch 2 despite running higher resolution(s) ?
They made some pretty significant improvements since the original reveal trailer and the latest stuff too.
This is how it was in the original reveal trailer:

This is how it is now (on non Switch 2 / Series S hardware)

how about denoising?I played the demo ~30 minutes ago and shadows weren't there on Pro. PC version has them:

how about denoising?
last time I checked the game had a lot of ray tracing noise
is it fixed in the demo now? or is it the same?
I hope they improve the denoiser at launch then...Demo looks really bad. It's pretty much the same between Pro and PC with DLSS so it's in game denoiser that is fucking everything up.
Full version will have Path Tracing so I hope they will implement Ray Reconstruction as alternate denoiser. I wonder how game would look with denoiser turned off like in last DF video with UE5 games...
I disabled all filtersI agree it's probably a bug. But why isn't the orange light lit in your video, at around 23 seconds?
What are your settings? Mine are 4K HDR, VRR, chromatic aberration ON.
