I should redownload this and give it another shot. I'm astoundingly terrible at the combat though and it frustrated me, but everything else is just right up my alley.

I paused my recent save on the sequel waiting for this news... Let's go all the weekend to finally try this!!!!

Was at 4€ on PSN and Xbox not long ago and I was suspecting that they were going to pull this one out but sincerely I don't have the time.

Yeah, I picked the complete edition on a $3.99 sale last year, might give it a shot during the summer with this new update.

Ultra runs like absolute shit on PC due to a massive CPU bottleneck caused by the engine to be heavily single-threaded. Hopefully, they updated the code for consoles, because good luck running this at 60fps at ultra settings otherwise.

this, if PS5 can run this at locked 60 PC ultra settings, my PC ll run at 240fps cause right now it runs like shit.

I have been waiting for this to finally play! But still no native Czech VO? PC has a official/unofficial CZ VO DLC. Wish they'd just pay the actors and make it canon.

FFS, they want us to create another account...

With this update, we are introducing Deep Silver Account integration. By signing up, you'll receive a special horse caparison to dress your noble steed. Additionally, our team has addressed several long-standing technical issues - including the rare "Siege" quest infinite loading screen - to ensure your journey through Bohemia is as seamless as possible.

Please find the full list of changes in Patch 1.9.7 below.

Features

● Deep Silver Account integration
○ Signing up to Deep Silver Account will grant players a horse caparison. The item will be added to the player stash once the prologue has been completed.

Stability

● Fixed infinite loading screen when sleeping on a specific bench during the Run! Quest
● Fixed infinite loading screen when pressing continue in a certain circumstance
● Fixed infinite loading screen after the Trebuchet cinematic during the Siege quest
Developers' note: The infinite loading during the Siege quest that would permanently brick save games could very rarely occur when doing the "From the Ashes" DLC questline beforehand. During the Trebuchet cinematic, the game would wait for Sir Divish to finish scheduled behaviour from that DLC, but would never finalize because it was no longer a valid behaviour.
● Fixed very rare deadlock in the physics synchronization
● Fixed issue where the title would freeze when changing the language from main menu
● Fixed crash when simultaneously using gather feature together with skip time feature
● Fixed multiple crashes during Baptism of Fire
● Fixed multiple crashes related to the vegetation system
● Fixed multiple crashes related to invalid models or areas
● Fixed multiple crashes and long freezes during language change operations
● Fixed multiple race condition crashes.

Gameplay

● Fixed issue where the achievements "Casanova" and "Full house sinner" would not unlock under certain conditions
● Fixed issue where controls were blocked when playing dice with Stephan.

UI

● Fixed multiple instances of placeholder/missing text
● Fixed issue where the incorrect subtitles would display in the final cinematic
● Fixed issue where font could break when switching between Japanese and other languages, causing missing or square symbols to appear
● Fixed issue where the settings menu would momentarily appear when switching between Japanese and other languages
● Fixed issue where compass markers would not display after changing language in-game.

Other

● Fixed issue where the "Quilted Vest" made Henry's arms transparent.

Stable 60fps in Rattay on my Pro, unfortunately it's capped at 60hz and non pro support

Nope, still runs like dog poop. 3440x1440 on a 13900K+RTX4090+32GB DDR5 6000 MT/s. 63fps, so unless the way the consoles handle this game is completely different, the performance will still be dreadful. Let's wait see what testers have to say.

Happy that console bros are finally able to enjoy the game as it should be. Wonder if PC bros will also get a patch, I was able to play it at +60fps but some scenes could still shit the bed. I remember the battle at the bandit fortress being the worst offender.

Sorry bro, LS?
Lossless scaling I bet.

I had the Ultra settings available on PC for months now. Is that different?
I think the consoles are getting an update that puts their graphics on par with the PC version's Ultra preset. Ultra has been available on PC since release, so it's not new there.

WTF, 56% GPU usage and 20% CPU usage and it's still stuck at 63 fps.

The game run stable at 60fps on Rattay and looks like high resolution. I don't know how the settings are compared to the PC version, but they probably ported the game to the last engine

Can you try a viewport with multiple NPCs? That's usually when the fps tanks and my stress tests. If you just look in a random direction where there's no one, the performance isn't as bad.

I've been watching some videos and it seems pretty much locked 60 in the first village/town. There appears to be an optional HD texture toggle which can drop performance in the 50s when enabled. I wonder if the pro can power through with that on.

It really runs like shit. Everything maxed out and in town, I get 60-90 fps.
And there are some stutters, while running around. Probably due to asset streaming.

Nice, I tried it a while ago but it was kinda jarring to play the PS4 version. Might check it out at some point, but jumping straight into KCD2 feels more likely

Strange, it runs perfectly fine on my 3080Ti.
I played the game on a 3070 and it was above 60fps most of the time. I think some people have a really high standard for "runs like shit" :goog_relieved:

Sure it's not perfect, specially when compared to the sequel but I thought it was still "mostly fine".

Yeah. When it came out I had 2011 Sandy Bridge 2500K and that dropped fps to 40s, year later when I played it after upgrade I had Ryzen 2700X and it kept 60fps 95% of the time. Now with 5800X3D I get over 100fps most of the time.
Of course, there are two settings (I think shadows and lighting) that need to be set to very high and not ultra, since ultra is busted.

Everything maxed out

Drop lighting and shadows to very high. No difference in visuals but framerate should be higher.

I got the Royal Edition on PS4 a couple of years ago. Are there any infos on what the PS5 upgrade does? Anyway, it's downloading right now, thanks for the heads up!

This is the best I could get, in my save is always raining. :messenger_grinning_sweat:

Thanks. The frame rate seems very stable and eyeballing it, I would say it's 60. Might have been a minor dip here and there, but not sure if it's just NPCs animation rate being lower at a distance or frame drops. Otherwise, this seems to be around 60fps.

I wonder if it's one of the situations where the engine just doesn't scale past a certain point or if they simply just updated the code for the consoles, because they sure as shit didn't for PC.
