I keep seeing people say shit like this on here but is it really true? Sony has never released a badly performing console outside of the PS Vita. Sure maybe it would have sold 80M versus 92M or whatever it's at now.

People gotta try to live outside of this Neogaf bubble. I work with a lot of people that would never go on any sort of gaming forum or something similar and nobody cares about any of the stuff I see talked about here despite a lot of them spending a ton of time playing games.
I play with about 4-5 friends. They play games all day every day. They are online like every single day playing something. New games all the time to. When I told them about Blue Point they had no idea who that is.

I swear the Xbox fan base or marketing machine looks for any more so of anything to make stupid propositions like this. And I don't mean to be harsh but it is a dumb question. Microsoft is a mismanaged gaming company that can't even manage its own software which has years and years of progress and is as annoying as ever.

I don't even know why people are worth over this company versus a company with pedigree and history but such as the internet when something of a reasonable studio has some darling status like they've been around for 40 years making all-time classics. They were a port company that did very little original works. You can argue about all about what direction the company is going but let's not pretend they are some studio that's been around for a long time with the pedigree of others and the revenue stream, more importantly.

Why would you switch you can get most of XBOX stuff on PS5, and all the ps5 stuff on ps5. If you are going to be a 1 console owner have a switch 2, but otherwise if you want 2 consoles the logical choice is PS5 for console 2.

Probably not for graphic whores.
Either way Switch 2 ports won't last forever especially when next gen gets here and it's over a generation old tech wise.

Exactly. The vast majority of people don't know or care about any of this shit.
The discord debacle? Not a single person knew about it until I mentioned it to someone. Hell, there are 2 big Xbox guys at work that didn't even know Xbox owned Activision.

lol no. PS screwups pale in comparison to Xbox's screwups, which have been ongoing since mid-360 gen. You can get everything Xbox on PlayStation. Microslop sucks worse than ever at the moment.

Lmao. Hell no.

lol, why would move from an almost dead to a full dead plataform ?

PC is the only true game machine and by the look of the industry and the focus on gaas, playing old games on emulators ll start to get stronger and stronger.
If PlayStation is 'dead,' that's a remarkably lively definition of dead.
Millions of players, massive third-party support, strong first-party studios, and one of the most consistent ecosystems in gaming.
PC is great, no argument there. But it's not a religion, it's just another way to play.
Some people enjoy tweaking settings and upgrading hardware. Others prefer a fixed platform built around optimization and ease of use.
Different priorities. Same passion for games.

Why would I when all MS games are going to likely be released on PS as well? It will depend on the hardware and exclusives but without any proper launch games or reason to buy at launch, I will be waiting to see before purchasing anything.

I was browsing Twitter, and the Xbox fanboys are completely insane, thinking this is a victory for Phil Spencer, that Phil is going to save Bluepoint.

It's really a mental problem, like being afraid of the dark, denying reality...

Just look at the poll results to see that the fanboys are a huge minority, but on Twitter they think they're relevant because the guy gets a thousand likes saying that Phil Spencer has to show up to save Bluepoint.

I don't really care because modern games are mostly trash these days. I'm sure I can manage without a few good new games I can count on one hand, while I save a small fortune on hardware that will be much too expensive, and get little use.

I won't be needing subscription services or cloud gaming either, as I have tons of games from all generations to keep enjoying.

Play with cheaters non stop and play as sonic in every game.
That's funny since there is an auto aim in every FPS on consoles, but I guess it's different right?

It's glorious where physical media is. Obviously not on PC.🙄
Aside from emotional attachment, there's no point in having a physical copy these days. A quite large number of disc-based games won't launch without a day one update anyway, or they are broken and need (multiple) patches. I would love to have a fully functional disc version for every game, but except a few exceptions that's not the case.
BTW nothing prevent you to buy a 10TB HDD and copy/past your games in there. And if preservation is really important to you, you should download pirated PC copies a few months later once they have been properly patched, and not the 1.0 disc version of defective games.

That's the ONLY way to get the best release of each game you want and be sure to preserve them. An HDD with cracked files/DRM free releases. And that's not happening on consoles.

We should all just dig out our 360s and start having LAN parties again, the games were better, the community was better, the controllers were better, and we all know it.

Lets wait for announcement, specs + price reveal ? I can see a lot of people change their tune.

Yes darling, because the demographic who are willing to spend $1500 on gaming hardware care deeply about saving ~$10 a year on their electricity bills.

Thoughts and prayers, I know you're taking this really hard.

Every other post of yours is you shadow boxing crying about "fanboys", and you think other people are taking things "hard?

Just because of Bluepoint?

They were good but to be honest they haven't put out anything for 6 years since Demon's Souls. Heck even Japan Studio released something every year.

Honestly at this point, I won't be surprised if MM would be shut down next.

Sony's first party's output has been disastrous this gen, and ironically their console is partially relying on Microsoft's offerings to keep things interesting. Their focus on GaaS and closure of Bluepoint being the culmination of years of poor management decisions.

Taking in consideration the high probability of Microsoft releasing their next-gen hardware much sooner, the power of Gamepass(tm) and their more open ecosystem, would that convince you to switch sides after 2026 comes to an end?

Look at budget for Horizon Hunters Gathering.

Then compare it with GOW Sons of Sparta.

There is a clear shift. Maybe thats what they mean.

Buy why would those people act as if only those two games are in development? What if I threw back the Wolverine, Marathon, and Marvel Tokon games?

Sony is the market leader by default only. They aren't particularly good at anything. I'll stick with them until something better comes along and then adios. Zero loyalty to Sony. I also hate their management decisions and think they will eventually fail due to short term decision making and ineptitude.

So why can't Valve make a Pre-made PC better than a PS5 in 2026? Or why aren't they able to launch their GabeCube for less than $500?

These reactions and questions like this any time a studio is shut down is so bizarre to me.

Yes it sucks whenever a studio shuts down, especially when they are a studio that created games that you really like. Also, whenever you see it being caused by odd direction of the publisher, like in this case. Who really wanted a Live Service game in the God of War universe?

Do you really decide what console you purchase based on which studios the publisher owns? Or do you buy them because they have games you want to play. Yes, these two can become intertwined, but as along as there are still other games on that platform you want to play, you have to be honest with yourself: you will still purchase games from the publisher, and consoles if you are a console gamer, if there is a game you want to play.

One of my disappointments this generation is Microsoft cancelling the rebooted Perfect Dark game. I was really looking forward to it. However, I am not abandoning my Xbox due to this. And I know many on here will think I am crazy, but I am still looking forward to the next Xbox.

Similarly, I look forward to the next PlayStation. I am a console gamer at heart, and I like new gadgets. Full transparency, the shut down of Bluepoint does not really impact the games I play. I was not a big fan of the games they made, but I know others were. But is it not the end of PlayStation. It will continue on.

That's funny since there is an auto aim in every FPS on consoles, but I guess it's different right?
1. Aim assist is not auto aim.
2. There is a reason for aim assist due to sticks versus mouse and every player on console gets that which is very different from people cheating.
3. Anybody worth their salt on MKB can easily play against controller in online FPS.
4. Yes, there are stuff like XIM on console but if you think the amount of cheating is even close to the same on console as PC I don't know what to tell you.

Before anybody even mentions it, I play online FPS almost exclusively on PC with KBM. I've never once been like oh this motherfucker is using a controller and that is why I lost that fight, but I have 100% lost fights due to somebody obviously cheating.
