Do you consider moving from PlayStation to Xbox after Sony's recent string of failures?

the only ones that seens to not have passion for games are Microsoft and Sony.

Yeah and how many of those 1.0 release are perfectly playable without bugs? That was my point. Again if you really care about preservation, an HDD with cracked files/DRM free releases is your best shot.

And your disc will die one day, and then what?

Sure it's not exactly the same, but I still see it as a cheat/an advantage.

You never got aim'ed by a controller guy instantly? Ever? For real? Well you are lucky, it's insufferable in games like RDR II. Anyway the cheating problem on PC is way overblown and it's absolutely not absent on consoles. Far from that.

Not saying those are the only two games being made.

Even games you listed, majority are GAAS. Lot of people went with ps5 cause of ps4, where SP was the focus.

Sony is doing both now. Not only SP games. There's no way any real gaming Publisher on Earth can just do SP games. And Saros is coming out in 2 months. That's a pure SP game, from the likes of the old school days.

I sold my ps5 after ff7 Rebirth and have not missed it. The output of Sony exclusive games i want to play has been no existent this gen.

I would never move to Xbox console , I would just upgrade or build new pc.

Personally this has been the worse Gen for me by far in terms of Sony.
 
Just go pc. Don't believe Sony ever gonna have the first party games lineup like it use to. Really not worth owning Xbox or hell ps too. Nintendo bout the closest thing worth owning when it comes to console. Just go pc
 
Sony's first party might gone to shit but I still can use my PS5 for 3rd party games and Xbox sometimes doesn't get the games I want like Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter.
 
As it is now, I'll probably only get the Xbox console/PC hybrid next-gen. But it's not a "move to" thing like the OP is asking. I made a decision to skip PlayStation this time around and it's been vindicated. I owned every PS prior to this, including PSP. This has been easily the worst PlayStation gen ever. Just a total disaster from their first party. The best games on their console in 2026 will literally be from Microsoft, that's crazy.
 
The entire point of the thread is like asking "Now that you have lost your left ring finger, wouldnt you consider chopping off both thumbs?" Or "you know... the school lunch just hasnt been that flavorful lately, would you like to go out in the schoolyard and find a huge chunk of dogshit and just fucking wolf it down?"

An Xbox PC hybrid that can play Series X, Xbox One, and 360 games, along with having full Xbox PC, Steam, Battle.net, and Epic functionality with a seamless, easy-to-use UI, is pretty compelling imo. For those of us who want to get into modern PC gaming without the hassle for around $1200, I think it's enticing. I used to game on PC when I was younger during the days of StarCraft, C&C, Planescape Torment, Quake, etc., but not anymore. It'll be a relatively niche market for this thing but I don't think Microsoft cares. They'll probably be happy with like 5 million sold like the Steam Deck which is around 4 million.

But it's not like they'd be "switching to Xbox". The next Xbox is gonna have full Steam functionality (and anything else you want). Even if Microsoft abandoned Magnus a week after launch, literally nothing would change.

Saros looks excellent and a big leap from Returnal, but yea, I totally get being down on Wolverine after the dogshit that was Spiderman 2

It fails hard as the company I grew up with from PSone. It no longer resembles anything favorable for me and they now chase trends and Western ideals that I want no part of. Such a shame.

Well.....will be very interesting to watch over the next 2 years to see if more and more people feel like you and bail out of the Playstation sweepstakes.
 
Where is the "Lmao" option?
If anyone's actually considering moving from Playstation to Xbox, not a PC then they should just wait for the Steam Machine and go for that.
