Marvel's Wolverine launches September 15, 2026.

Underrated comment. They're by far the biggest producers of any studio by a mile:

- Miles Morales
- Spiderman Remastered
- Ratchet Rift Apart
- Spiderman 2
- Wolverine

All the above in under 6 years...

Many have yet to even release 1 game.

Don't forget a Spider-Man 2 expansion was tossed along with a few years into SM online. I think they may have been able to do another R&C by now had that been the next game.

I've been saying Insomniac cranks out games. I don't know why people thought this would get delayed. It was somewhat playable from the leaks years ago.
Well, if they didn't hit an early target like they did.For september , they would have had to delay it for gta sixWell, if they didn't hit an early target like they did in for September, they would have had to delay it for gta 6.

The game looks incredible, pure Wolverine, day one of course on PS5.

It looks like the most generic mid 2020s AAA melee combat game possible... The "gameplay" trailer looks like it's 90% finishers. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be excited about here. Is it because it's gory? Do I just not care about Wolverine enough?

"WhY iS Ps5 sElLiNg wItH nO gAmEs?!"

This is why. Their name is tied to every god damn big IP, plus their own games and the games they "hunt" with xDev studios all over the world.
Let's be honest, none of this inspired the kind of hype from last gen.

And they also did work on a cancelled (thank god) live service SM game and a Venom spinoff that's also been canned.

It comes with a cost though - the SM games are extremely heavy with asset reuse, like PS3 era Assassin's Creed heavy. You can tell that they rushed Spider-Man 2, and that game really, really suffered.

I hope it isn't the case with Wolverine, but I'm not confident they're gonna nail this like they nailed SM'18.

Why did they drop the date so randomly, with no footage or further game details like you'd expect?

My theory as to why this wasn't at the State of play Sony was triple, checking to make sure that GT a 6 was on track for November, because if it wasn't Wolverine, would have gone to October

They announced it the same day my best friend and hardcore Wolverine fan, was diagnosed with brain cancer.

I hope he beats the shit out of it and enjoys the game on September.

It's not just you. I love Wolverine. I have a ton of Wolverine and X-Men trade paperbacks. This combat looks so fucking bland and uninteresting. 'Oh boy, it's the Arkham/Spider-Man combat system! Where you leap from easily dealt with enemy to easily dealt with enemy! Again! But with blood now!"

I'll eventually play this when it's like $20, but this does not look like anything that worth $70.

Spider-Man 2 has a 90 on Metacritic and is the #1 best selling game on PS5 by a wide margin. Hope this helps clear things up!
Spiderman 2 shade on this forum is an anti-woke saturation point with nothing else redeeming to say quite frankly.

I would ignore it.

It was a great but flawed game. As good as the previous ones but unfortunately not better enough to really make it stand out.

Yeah I see what you're saying here.

I worry most about this game because they haven't shown how it's not going to be a shallow brawler.

I'm hoping for some wider gameplay mechanics, some exploration mechanics and a bit more gameplay depth.

So far from what we've seen, this is Fighting Force w/ set-pieces, which is a little worrying IMO.

I still find it funny that the minority called gaf still calls Spider-Man 2 a woke game just because it has some stupid sidequest with that deaf chick and an uglier MJ, when the majority of the game is about 2 white males and their relationship, with Miles being a third wheel(he still played really great tho).

Literally, the only part that actually made me eye roll outside of MJs chin was how they handled Miles and the fight with scream where Peter was just acting like a massive bitch for 10 minutes. The rest of the game was fine.

The worst thing for me was the black museum when its revealed that the bad guy was, shocker, a rich white guy. All these sidequests were clearly forced for corporate HR checks and nothing else which is fine. The whole product matters more, but some ppl here cried for years about these minor stuff that barely mattered.

Console exclusive? Yes. Platform exclusive? No. It will be coming out on PC, although likely not day one.
I just realized that if the Xbox disappears, then most games will be "console" exclusive, since the Switch will be on its own frequency. I think this is an issue. "When everything is exclusive, nothing is".

It is curious that there was literally NOTHING shown on this at the SoP.

Does it is exist to counter the bad BluePoint news?

Eh? Maybe....

I'm not as sold on that, as I once was.

Yes, I am aware that Sony has been putting titles out on PC, but they've recently been a lot more bullish on it.

However, if I see Ghost of Yotei get announced in the next 6 months, I'll have my confidence.

I am just annoyed that Demons Souls remake hasn't had its PC port.

I wonder if Jean Grey still looks like a chain smoking transvestite like she was in the leaks.
Don't worry, her jaw alone could defeat enemies Wolverine would struggle against. 😉

Here is a gif of Jean buying a video game.

c'mon, Miles is the protagonist of the game, Peter is a weak ass spider man that needs MJ and Miles help every fucking time.

also, that homecoming sidequest was the most blatant woke sidequest i ever did in my life,

Spider-Man 2 was a game with a shit story, woke pandering, generally meh characters and good gameplay. If all you care about is the latter I suppose it was palatable.

Sony seems all over the place this gen. This could have been a small 2 second announcement at the state of play.

Anyway, looking forward to this. Hopefully we see some gameplay soon.

I'll give it a pass till the game is out and reviews from people who bought it, considering the lbgt and woke stuff as well as women character designs in spiderman 2, this is only get more in wolverine, strange how the game is out sep and no big looks into the game, wolverine prob be praying after he uses his claws to kill someone , or narrative telling he needs to go counselling or something , used to love insomniac games but the last few yrs they just putting agenda into games

I bet is a solid game, Imsomniac make solid games. I played first Spiderman and the two last Ratchet and Clank ; good enough games spidey being better. Can't jump in their bandwagon again after all the stuff i saw on Spiderman 2, not anymore, not a full price ever again. But just like GOW trilogy, a would really like to try a more modern take on a 'hack and slash' game full of set pieces. Not sure how is gonna come out though.

Valid complaints, but why would you spend even a dime on something that looks bland and uninteresting?

Not from Sony's point of view

If everything is console exclusive, their console sells more.... :D

It's the secon most blatant woke AAA game in the market after veilguard.

At least sp2 doesn't have top surgery scars.

The scream boss fight contain the most egregious feminist\\beta male rant you are even gonna see in a videogame.

Thrilling stuff.

I onestly doubt they can do any worse with wolvy.

Spiderman 2 is blatantly woke, Sweet Baby was heavily involved in the story and writing, we all know what Sweet Baby was there to do, and they did it, the results are on the screen for all to see, people who say otherwise are either intentionally obtuse or stupid.

MS has one and they are Obsidian Entertainment.

But the last trailer had gameplay in it.
In game footage is not gameplay unless you saw some other trailer I didn't?

I want to see a level from inception. Is it linear guided? How does Logan traverse? Does he have a random side kick chirping in his ear? Is there side quests? Is there unlocks or a skill tree? How does combat work?

I literally know nothing.

Well, didn't take very long for Spider-Man.2 to appear on PlayStation extra So you might have a point there

Didn't it take almost 2.5 years for SM2 to arrive on PS+ ?

I think you'll get that at Sony's E3 showing. They usually do it in May every year.

Seems a bit of a personal opinion…
I don't agree (yes, I know it's ironic in giving an opinion about whether or not it's an opinion).

Not the thread for it, but we could go down that list. I just think it's undeniable that there's a lesser degree of enthusiasm around these games, but the proof is often in the pudding. Most of them are not going to sell all that crazy or well at all.
