I used to love FPS games growing up, but kind of fell out of love with the genre. Everyone once in a while though, a game comes along and reminds me of why I loved the genre in the first place. That's Titanfall 2. Thank you, Vince.
 
Damn. I only played it once at release and I loved the hell out of it. Got real Half Life vibes at some points and I remember the Mario comparisons being thrown around too.

I really need to revist.
Do it. Its one of my favourite First person shooter campaigns of all time. If you have a PC it runs at about 500 fps on anything remotely modern as a bonus.
 
I don't know Vince Zampella personally, but he reached the absolute pinnacle of his industry, that's all most men can hope to do, to be the best at something, to lead and inspire people in something, and he absolutely did it, FPS gaming will be poorer for his loss.
