Im only at the beginning but this is so good so far. On my 5070ti PC maxed out with PT at 1440p, DLSS4 quality and 2x framegen im getting 110-130 fps. It looks and runs incredible

Ok just did the first Leon section... WTF. This is the best feeling combat in any RE game, it just feels incredible and Leon is so fucking badass my god. Why this game doesnt have a merc or raid mode WHY capcom?!

Anyway... back to the game :D

Yes it is. Like I said before, its even better than Re4 Remake. The upgrade its insane

My only complaint so far is the lack of FOV

I am playing with Grace in first person view and I am struggling to see around.

I don't understand Capcom

The visuals are insane on PS5 Pro with OLED TV. HOLY FUCKING SHIT BALLS

It all looks so crisp. Lighting, shadows, textures. Everything feels so realistic. The gore and atmosphere too it all feels very next gen.

I've barely got a few hours in but dare I say I'm enjoying it more than the RE2 / 4 remakes? Yes.

CAPCOM have struck a perfect balance where Grace sections are filled with tension what with more limited resources, inventory management, not as capable (her hands shaking when aiming such a cool touch) and Leon's sections being invigorating with sublime action (some of those execution animations, good Lord!), huge inventory, a wise-cracking killer who is a veteran of this zombie rodeo. Nearing 7 hours clocked, my expectations were high but damn if they aren't being met (and even exceeded).

I've said many times in the past that people would do well to go on media blackout for games they are really interested in and planning on buying day 1. I don't know how much the trailers spoiled but for me *everything* is a surprise and that's the way it should be, can't wait to see what the game throws at me next!

When old people like me say that the best gaming days are behind us a new game comes (usually from Capgods) and reminds me they are still ahead. Now hopefully Crimson Desert gives me another reason to say that next month.

Anyone else impressed and also surprised af when an enemy uses an object in front of them as a torpedo to knock your ass out? I'm liking the A.I. in this game.

Done with the first 2 hours or so. Impeccable pacing so far and im loving the back and forth between grace and leon. Incredible game. Looks so fucking good, runs well and the combat is the best its ever been. Also who was the guy who said the gore is toned down lol

I really encourage everyone to play on classic mode with ink ribbons. There is even a gameplay mechanic involving getting ink ribbons that is really cool and the game has much more tension as a result, not only for the survival consequences but item management too

Just did this part and holy shit. Great intro for him. I wish RE4Remake felt like this :messenger_tears_of_joy: My only gripe I have so far is Leon can't outrun the zombies? Tried running past them but they caught up super quick and always grabbed me from behind.

Played for about 1.5 hour, going to wait for mod to allow switching between first/third person camera via a hotkey before I continue.

The game is so good that it's also a bit of a disservice to not have some form of online mode. A Mercs or Raid mode or something for this killer combat system would've been crazy.

So there's a clear advantage to playing in third person as Grace: its easier to avoid lunging enemies because you can run backwards. But for immersion's sake I'm going to stick to first person for my first playthrough.

I was waiting for the Launch trailer but it's just a short version of the 4th trailer.
I updated Sherry Birkin photo anyway but i was expecting them to reveal her face and add her to the official site.
Reminded me when i did MGS3Δ OT and Granin was the only main character render they didn't upload.

Possibly saw an AI generated texture on these bottles. But this is the only one so far. Or maybe that's a label off a real product, and they just wanted to scramble that.

You are either delusional, trolling or both if you think a PS4 is producing this image at this level of fidelity.

Most of my issues come from the character models. The facial animations are basic. The skin, eyes, and teeth are waxy. Limited cloth physics. Ancient hair tech. Cinematography within cutscenes are straight out Devil May Cry 4.

There is some cool stuff happening in the environment and with particle effects in the well lit hotel and city sections but a lot of that is fleeting when you are thrown back into pitch black environments with very little going on.

A lot of this may also be the result of director choice. Koshi Nakanishi seems much more interested in environment and atmosphere than character models. This is immediately noticeable when comparing RE7,8,9 to the remake games.

Alright papitos I am gone for a few hours now.

The opening alone is incredibly atmospheric, like playing a living breathing version of Se7en.

Have fun everyone!

I need some feedback on the dolly face sections.

Does she always run from enemies and hide or she play like old school re where you have limited bullets but you decide when to run away and when to fight, without the game deciding when it's fight time or hide time.

Don't know what this other fool is smoking but the DualSense haptics are genuinely great. From simulating rainfall, grinding metallic doors, bolt action on a sniper rifle, thundering footsteps of a certain beast etc

Also, can't believe what just happened to one of the characters...lol

Edit: alright, looks like I hit the halfway point, can't stop playing 💯

Already answered by multiple people, after her initial chapter it settles into classic RE.

It's classic Resident Evil, low ammo, backtracking, managing inventory and resources etc. Its very well done

Jump in papito, the game is great
