But I can't bury a game dawg, it's like the people shitting on Avowed I feel they're wrong... I don't take it personal, I believe they'd like it if they played but at the end of the day it's all part of it. My shitting on marathon shouldn't affect someone if they're enjoying it, that's just being way to sensitivePraising a game you've played and enjoyed.

How the fuck am I "not allowing" criticism ?
I'm just adding criticism YOU don't like.

Ok, you are clearly mental !
So he can't be interested in a game because its "toxic positivity", but you can be negative about a WiP game because it doesn't appeal to you and you can't bury it? Yeah, this is embarrassing. As someone who hates everything about this turd and is quite sick of the Horizon franchise as a whole let's not be retarded lol. It's a closed beta and even folks here who wanted to get invites didn't get ones. The low CLOSED beta numbers are no indication of general interest. Once the open beta is available, then we might see a more genuine level of interest in this game.Hunters Gathering beta is closed and is only available to players for 3hrs a day at a set time. A bunch of dunces in here have no idea what they are talking about
They run the playtests for the time they need for the test. Limiting the hours help them focus the few thousand players to play in the same hours to make them easier find players nearby, that aren't too distant (distant players means high ping so bad experience).A 3 day beta for only 3 hours per day? LOL
I can understand short weekend betas, but something doesnt sound right if you got to force yourself into 3 hr time slots. Better thing to do is just leave it on 24 hrs all weekend.
4-7 pm EST doesnt even make sense since that's roughly dinner time (or getting close to it). Better thing to do if they can only handle 3 hrs is make lets say 7-10 pm. Finish dinner and play all evening.

How does that make sense?
You saw a Concord Live Service meme and said it was glorious like D Day.Who said he can't be interested in a game? Dude absolutely can but instead he wants to prevent people from critiquing it as how bad cheerleading for failure he feels is, when instead I would champion any dev team to make a good game, it's to my eye a game that looks bad and I'll call it as such. That doesn't prevent anyone from being interested in such game
It's literally a joke man, need to relax.. You must be a hoot at partiesYou saw a Concord Live Service meme and said it was glorious like D Day.
Clear said this:
"If you support this nonsense, don't pretend your any better or different than the woke mob who were hell-bent on taking down games you might have been interested in.
This trend towards cheerleading failure is just horrible. Support the stuff you like and stop trying to impose your will on the rest of the world because I assure you, its not going to end well."
I'm sorry but Clear isn't showing "toxic positivity". He's showing a maturity with a measured response.
You saw a videogame meme and thought of this...

Not that uncommon for some betas. I do a lot of betas and have been in many like this. I'm in a different beta now for another Sony game and they open it up on weekends here and there when they need it.A 3 day beta for only 3 hours per day? LOL
I can understand short weekend betas, but something doesnt sound right if you got to force yourself into 3 hr time slots. Better thing to do is just leave it on 24 hrs all weekend. If this game is supposed to be a 3 party coop MH kind of game, it'd be better to open up the time so people can party up with friends at a time slot they can agree to play in together.

We not.We excited?
More toxic negativity...It's literally a joke man, need to relax.. You must be a hoot at parties
Give us a f**ing hint! Is there a number in the title?I'm in a different beta now for another Sony game and they open it up on weekends here and there when they need it.
i'm having trouble believing only 500 people are on even within a limited three hour windowI believe the beta is limited to a certain time frame so nothing to read into here.
It's hard to say without knowing specifics about how many invites went out. Could be a small amount for the first round to get things ready for bigger betas in the future. Is this real

Horizon: Zero Downloads
I also get that I'm literally saying I'm wondering if it's a bug or tech issue or something with the steam CCU and that's why the number is so lowIt's hard to say without knowing specifics about how many invites went out. I'm certain we'll have plenty to grave dance over soon. No need to jump the gun IMO.
Why did they decide on 1500? Split two ways that's 750 slots on PS5 when the console sold close to like 100 million didn't it?The playtest has like 1500 slots and half of them are ps5, and the test is split between eu and na and grifters looking at steam ccu?
Not a fan of the game but my god have some common sense
Number of slots could be higher but that's what im seeing
A more telling stat is today's CCU for the Euro block is half of yesterday's. And it's a Saturday which should be peak gaming. Let's see what the NA block does. It starts in half an hour.I also get that I'm literally saying I'm wondering if it's a bug or tech issue or something with the steam CCU and that's why the number is so low
I can't remember any first party play test that has so few invites. That seems like almost such a small sample I don't even really know what the purpose is.
In other words, I'm doing the opposite of grave dancing, and actually saying that this could just be a mistake
As far as i can see there is about 700-800 or more playtesters on discord alone and the majority seem to be on pc from what im seeingWhy did they decide on 1500? Split three ways that's 500 slots on PS5 when the console sold close to like 100 million didn't it?
You got any links that show where they decided on the slots? This is really stupid because the optics of this is really bad
I wouldn't rely on that at all as a metric as to how many passes go out as your average gamer has never even heard of discordAs far as i can see there is about 700-800 or more playtesters on discord alone and the majority seem to be on pc from what im seeing
I think it'll half aswell, the game isn't fun, but that's what early tests are for.A more telling stat is today's CCU for the Euro block is half of yesterday's. And it's a Saturday which should be peak gaming. Let's see what the NA block does. It starts in half an hour.
Yeah that's why I said 1500 or more, hard to get exact numbers but discord numbers can helpI wouldn't rely on that at all as a metric as to how many passes go out as your average gamer has never even heard of discord
If you want a perfect example of that, take the discrepancy between a discord channel for monster Hunter wild or any other popular online game and you'll see it has a tiny fraction even during initial play test
Well, it is impossible for the test number to grow. Only natural there would be a decrease. It could be Fortnite levels good and the number would still go downA more telling stat is today's CCU for the Euro block is half of yesterday's. And it's a Saturday which should be peak gaming. Let's see what the NA block does. It starts in half an hour.
It's so closed that nobody can get in.
Arc Raiders. I'm sure some people thought it would flop but the general consensus seemed to be that it would be successful - but probably not as successful as it ended up being. You can feel the vibe. Even the people still hating on Marathon today aren't certain anymore. Their grip on that narrative has weakened immensely.
All Live Service game reveals are "DOA" for the same 2 or 3 reasons.
- It's too purple.
- The characters aren't attractive enough.
- The market is saturated.
Has there ever been a Live Service game reveal that the "online mob" predicted to become a hit? That contingent has whiffed on every GAAS success story over the last 7 years. It started with "Fortnite is a fad".
At some point the words "I'm not sure" should enter the vocabulary.
First time in gaming history playing a character drains the battery more than any other. To be completely fair to the devs, if you play the obese peg legged woman as your main, that is really taxing on the server and you have to limit the amount of people playing. Everyone is going to want to play as her.
This specific closed beta was meant to test and improve the servers for people playing the Fatty McOne-leg and the new physics engine and the gravitantional well her size might cause to other players.
It's a worthy test that will pay off dividends when the game does its Server Slam and how to allocate the bandwidth for our Plus Sized Disabled Princess.
But you guys didn't consider that. You all just want to hate everything. Do you even like games? So exhausted with all the hate.
Horizon: Zero RevenuesI saw this:
Horizon: Zero Interest
It's funny that the fat one isn't on the image because there is no way to make her fit on it without taking half the image.I've said it once and I'll say it again
This game is going to save the industry

Bungie makes scfi shooters. Last time they didnt was Oni in 2001. Before Halo, they made all kinds of games.I ain't gonna lie, gameplay looks kind of fun. Character design is shit though and that's important in GAAS. I'm not the target audience anyway, but I don't see this making waves. Sony dumping money into shit like this and other live service games will be enlightening I bet. Fuckin destroy Evolution Studios over the Driveclub fiasco, meanwhile droppin billions on Bungie resulting in a net negative. Put GT8 on PC to redeem yourselves.
Bungie makes scfi shooters. Last time they didnt was Oni in 2001. Before Halo, they made all kinds of games.
But they made Marathon like it does to catch on to the young crowd who likes GAAS cosmetic junk. Its the kind of game you could see if it ever caught on it could sell a ton of bright and weird lego brick attachments to make a gamer happy with their character.
They arent making a normal military game. Heck, Marathon doesnt even look remotely lose to the old 1990s Marathon games. They could had named it something different and nobody would notice. But they think the Marathon IP has some brand equity to it. Vast majority of people never played those old games, which the first one was even only on Macs. I followed PC games a bit back then and never knew Marathon 2 came out on PC.
Edit: LOL. Wrong thread. I thought you were talking Marathon.Yeah it's crazy work callin this a Marathon game. Buffuckinfunery
