Strange I go across the map all the time. I sure as hell don't just sprint there though. There is plenty of time. I take my time, loot and we make our way over.

Smart ways to move across the map while on the subject:
-Watch your heat
-Make use of cover like rocks
-Crouch in water to recover heat fast
-When getting close to buildings check for the usual things (bots, open doors, gunfire, footsteps) and crouch
-If you hear gunfire obviously you can go to it or avoid it but know if you avoid it and it's on the way/near your goal or an exfil they'll likely come at you
-Melee with knife the red ticks and their hives to minimize noise
-Also can triple melee turrets from behind before they fire

I generally hang around the starting area a bit. By the time I reach an objective or location on the other side of the map most players are either dead or extracted already.

I think you can double melee turrets with a light and a heavy attack. Also, fuck turrets man.

Lmao, I had a similar experience when I was extracting. I found a good spot to wait it out, saw a Recon panic shooting ran up to them and knifed them. Then a Vandal came around the corner and tried running away from me but I chased them and knifed them. I totally startled them, lol.
