Damn this pinwheel quest was stressful :D The enemy gauntlet during hacking was intense, thankfully i zeroed a guy at the beginning of the match and stole 2 great guns and full equipment so i was ready lol

Outpost is pretty awesome map. Great level design with locked doors, locked extracts that needs keys.

I made sure yesterday to save up 5+ free kits from Mida. If I extract I now have 5 free bully smgs I can rotate to keep kitting out.

I'm saving my gold backpack for cryoarchive once I understand what to do. I want to loot up the most shit possible.

How do you get the key to get into pinwheel?

I can't get access. Same for exfil.

I actually don't think the game was THAT bad, but I certainly did not get my moneys worth by how quick it got shut down lol
The content it launched with was barely alpha test worthy but I loved the gunplay. I played the pink chick with pants - her handgun was so slick.

I'd rate concord a 5/10- all fixable with a lot more content.

You need to find colored access keys to open a door then hack a station and kill a bunch of UESC. There are multiple ways to get into it i think. Also you can find master keys for locked exfills. Its a small beacon outside

Still waiting for my Twitch drops and has anyone noticed what's the best AA version for the PS5 Pro? PSSR, AMD OR CMR?

This mission was intense, downed a runner too in the mix:

Didn't get much time today, had poker night with the boys and tomorrow I'll mostly be doing stuff with the wife, still feel like I've barely scratched the surface, need to hit level 12 to see what all these Outpost shenanigans are about lol.

Oh there will be much more intense ones later, especially mida quests and sekiguchi on outpost. All of them are single run missions

Gonna take a break for a bit. My last two matches both had somebody disconnect immediately which just sucks because we got in firefights both times and each time could have easily been revived if a third person had been there.

Ive only got 3 self revives, so Im not wasting it on them atm lol
3?! Lucky. I've only 1. I've picked up probably 5 but every time I find out my team gets destroyed and I never get to extract it or I use it in the same match.

Anyone experienced insane rubberbanding to the point where you get teleported back 100 meters? It happened like 3 times with me today. 2 times on Dire Marsh at the same location. I literally teleported back 100 meters, but no more lag after that. It was fucking weird

I started to bring in self revives as a solo. I use an implant that makes me invisible during the ress and i actually managed to ress and run away 1 time in solos

Dying some absolutely humiliating deaths today.

Spawned next to Hauler, immediately book it inside. Killed two runners who arrived late. Loot the shit out of the place. Die to my own claymore.

Event where you have to match a code on the terminal. Ran across the map to the supply drop point. Cleared out the UESC down to my last bullet and heal. Got fat loot. Run into a toxic plant on my way back to extract and scream while watching my health tick down and die.

Does Outpost take a hit in performance on the Pro as well, or only PC?
I mean its locked 60 on console so i dont think it will drop below that. On PC its a 10-15% performance drop in some places compared to other maps, atleast for me
I only did two runs on Outpost but I didn't notice any performance difference at all on Pro.

I've only playing a single solo match and it was as a Rook just because I never tried rook in the server slam or when I got into the play test and wanted to see what it was like. Much more stressful but I need to play some more solos.

Fuck is that possible?

I died to one of those plants my first couple of matches and felt like such a fucking idiot, but then I was watching Jackfrags's video where him and Tomographic played their first match and they also died to the plant and it made me feel way better to see somebody as god tier as Jackfrags or Tomo die to the plant.

Thief on Trios playing an "overwatch" role is so fucking good.

Just had a match where the two randoms were inside a building doing some missions and I heard a Thief use a drone off a ways from where we came from. I then went around the building and grappled myself up top. Deployed my drone and saw a team sneaking around a higher platform and kinda waiting our team out. Pulled out my precision rifle and downed two of them while the Assassin guy on my team took notice and hunted the last guy down.

Good shit.

Call me crazy, but I find these menus to be the least tedious and easiest to understand/navigate out of every extraction shooter I've played.

Yeah, I almost exclusively used Triage during the server slam but I've been using Thief 95% of the time due to this. I love being able use the grapple to get up on a high building and look around. Plus that grapple has gotten me out of a lot of sticky situation or gotten me to downed teammates that I wouldn't have been able to otherwise.

I've been having my team hang back right before we get to an extract and then popping my drone to see if there are any teams staking it out. The last two times we extracted from Hauler that drone saved our asses because I either saw a team waiting or a team running up on the extract. It also comes in handy when I get guys with the printer missions because I just pop on the roof and look around.

Plus she's cute as hell.. please give me the strength to not buy that collectors edition while it's still in stock

You're not crazy. It still does a few things that make it mind numbingly stupid though, and it definitely needs updating.

Using the drone and pinging enemies is a really cool utility. More useful than stealing from them, I find.

Update. Just watched a video of someone putting claymore on a drone lol

I'm just sick of buying into games only for them to die in x months. Do we think with Cross play, the current playerbase on PC (my primary platform) this game will be around for awhile? I really enjoyed the server slam but yeah, just don't want to waste my money if we think this is gonna trend downhill fast.
Can you name a game that averaged 5k CCU on Steam on and didn't stick around? Go to page 3 and 4 on Steamcharts and look at how many unpopular games get consistently updated with content.

Bungie will figure out the right team size for Marathon and support it for years.

Marathon is still the #4 top selling game on Steam. The negative Nancies shan't be taken seriously.

You: I dont want to buy the game if no one is going to buy the game and it just dies.

Also you: doesn't buy the game lol

On a serious note. The game will be fine. It is a very good game, and Steam CCU is just one metric. Don't let the amount of negativity around it mess with you. Just look at this. Peanut has to play this game on stream because his viewers give him shit for it.

As somebody that played a ton of Tarkov these menus are nothing. One of my favorite things about Marathon is how it cuts out a lot of the bullshit of extraction shooters like crafting and the tetris mini game that is Tarkov's inventory. I love that it auto sells the stuff that is essentially trash, and auto sorts/stacks.

I'm playing this on console though (I just love the way Bungie shooters feel on controller versus KBM) so my biggest complaint is that I can't change the cursor speed as it's just too damn slow which while I don't find the menus confusing it just takes too long when I have to look at multiple things.

Yeah, I've yet to actually steal anything with it yet. It's been a pure recon tool for me so far and a very good one.

Also the user reviews are extremely positive on all 3 platforms. Ranked and cryo also coming in 2-3 weeks, i bet both will be super cool so that might give it another boost.

I'm absolutely loving this, it's exactly what I expect an extraction game to be. The constant dread and having to be careful with how you approach everything creates amazing tension.
Arc was my first extraction experience but Marathon is exactly how I expect one to play out.
I'm hoping Sony give Bungie the money to grow this out.

Iv lost and used a good couple too. 2 self revivessaved me, 1 saved me solo, the other luckily our team,

Now, as soon as I find one or some decent thing (like the purple stuff to make your vault bigger), I extract asap. Fuck the mission lol. Theres always another time for that

Hopefully Marathon will be something on the side Bungie keeps going for a while.
I dont think they expected it to be the next Destiny, and the whole studio wasnt used for it, but they probably expected less hostility from gamers.

I played Helldivers 2 for about 10 hours because of my Destiny crew. This is way better for me and Ive already played it more
