So much for putting the franchise "back on the map" and trying to annualize it as well.
It's so over?

Listen to what he says @ 1:38Dont see what the issue is.
BF6 ist dropping below 50k for the last two days. That's a decline of 93.5% of the player base in 5 months.

CCU shit again. If you like the game, play it, if dont, move on. Game wont die, they wont cancel battlefield, they wont shut down the servers. You'll find matches easily until the next BF comes out. Stop worrying about numbers all the goddamn time
They're already firing developers because management failed to keep the game's momentum going. So how is it supposed to look in the future when skilled developers are gone and player numbers keep dropping? Who's making content for whom then? It just won't be worth it anymore. The game will be dropped like a hot potato.CCU shit again. If you like the game, play it, if dont, move on. Game wont die, they wont cancel battlefield, they wont shut down the servers. We running around these circles with every BF launch and the franchise is still going. They're already firing developers because management failed to keep the game's momentum going. And this despite it being the most successful game launch of 2025.
What bothers me isn't that I can't play the game right now because there aren't enough players. What bothers me is what's happening to this brand. It's just **mismanagement at its finest**, pure greed, and the way they're screwing over the player base is...
Yes, the game made bank, but the days when Battlefield stood for innovation and dominated its genre are numbered. Now, it's just an empty shell that still finds a market because of its past success and players' nostalgic rose-tinted glasses. The games themselves can't retain players. Modern BF is shallow. Their success only comes from manipulating and deceiving the player base before launch. We running around these circles with every BF launch and the franchise is still going.
When was the last time BF dominated the genre? Im playing since the early bf1942 days and this was never a blockbuster franchise. Also todays multiplayer market is waaay different than a decade or even 2 decades ago. There are new multiplayer games coming out literally weekly. Im really liking the game, but havent played it for weeks. Dont think there are people left who only main 1 multiplayer game for years anymoreWhat are you trying to make me understand? Sure, it takes two to tango - someone to deceive and someone willing to be deceived. Either way, don't try to tell me Battlefield 6 is performing the way players - or even EA -imagined it would.

The last time was probably BF3 ...When was the last time BF dominated the genre?
... although BF2 was the better game, which was a blockbuster as well.Im playing since the early bf1942 days and this was never a blockbuster franchise.
What's inexcusable is developing a Battlefield title that checks every box in its marketing, triggering every nostalgic impulse in longtime fans who've been waiting over a decade for a "real" Battlefield - only to fail completely. Also todays multiplayer market is waaay different than a decade or even 2 decades ago. Hows the patch ?
ShockedThe new map is terrible. It's just constant explosions with people spamming grenades and noob tubes.
There is no skill, no tactics, just spam. What a piece of shit.
I don't understand tho the operators in 2042 made it more cod like, what are you referring to? I loved 2042 as well but I think BF6 feels more traditionalI probably said this before but Id rather play bf2042 because it felt like A battlefield game, not the bf6 mess that dont know who to cater to, bf fans or cod fans? its cod obv
And dont get me started on how confronting The community managers and some of the devs get when u suggest something
This makes sense as this is how the other maps feel to me. There's almost no room for creative strategy since they want to be in complete control of where firefights and all the action takes place.According to leaks Goldmud Railway has been shrunk down compared to the original, and re-designed to funnel players into chokepoints.
I think this is the last straw for me. I don't see how I can possibly continue to play a series that has so clearly lost sight of its strengths and identity. All the CoD players which they tried to grab have already left, and they still refuse to design a proper BF game that appeals to old school BF fans.
I can only hope we get a proper replacement soon. Maybe Wardogs will be just that.
For me its largely the maps, the aggressive store push, the battle royale push, constant fights like im playing TDM.I don't understand tho the operators in 2042 made it more cod like, what are you referring to? I loved 2042 as well but I think BF6 feels more traditional

nobody is playing objectives, just go to point A and get kills

Dude I just disagree... People revive me most of the time, there's always bags around etc. It's worse than that. Most people don't do revives, drop ammo, repair vehicles, etc.
There is very little team play, like it used to be in older battlefields.
In part, it's because the game mechanics don't encourage team play. But also because there are too many players stacked in the same locations, so people are always under fire in a constant grind for kills.
Again just feels like a blanket statement, I'm killed by kords, tr7s now, plenty of gunsNever seen a Battlefield game where at least 80% of the player base uses SMGs. I guess when rate of fire is the only stat that matters this is the outcome. If the meta is just SMGs with 3-4x scopes it makes gunplay boring and classes pointless.
Add the fact that maps are built around close encounters with people jump sliding everywhere and the whole thing just feels more like a COD game than a Battlefield.
It is sad too because there could be a good game here as the foundation is not bad.
Unfortunately, I see them catering to the COD players more then the classic Battlefield players so these complaints are kind of redundant.

I think the gun play resembles COD a lot more then Classic BF4 and 3. It makes sense since both COD and BF6 were designed by the same guy essentially. RIP.Again just feels like a blanket statement, I'm killed by kords, tr7s now, plenty of guns
Game feels nothing like cod and I'm not really a cod fan but I play it, other than killing there litrelly nothing at all remotely the same
I just think alot of that can vary person to person, of who plays classes etc. Not saying you're wrong but I personally feel it's a decent mix, If any class needed help it's assault. I loved assault in years past but it seems weak in BF6.I think the gun play resembles COD a lot more then Classic BF4 and 3. I just want more nuance to recoil, damage models, and effective range of the weapons. Especially since weapons aren't locked it takes away from class roles and teamwork as a whole.
Also, it feels like too much incentive to pick an engineer because they can deal with vehicles and they excel with SMGs which is the best weapon class in the game.
Most lobbies on vehicle maps are like 70-90% engineers which should be evidence enough.
Damn I hate the whole gaas limited time shit. Usually it's bs anyway and then once in a while a good one comes around just vanish shortly...Loving the new map and event tbh, good times. It's nice to have some smaller modes to bounce into.

This one is fun and really should be implemented in the game long term.
