I see they fixed flashlights lmao
Anyone got a good tutorial video for the choppers?
I want to use them more but whenever I get on one I get shot down after like 30 seconds lol. But I've been on some games where the other team has people that someone manage to stay in the air for a long time and complete wreck us-
You can find 15 year old threads on BC2 talking about the lack of team play. Very little has changed. It's worse than that. Most people don't do revives, drop ammo, repair vehicles, etc.
There is very little team play, like it used to be in older battlefields.
In part, it's because the game mechanics don't encourage team play. But also because there are too many players stacked in the same locations, so people are always under fire in a constant grind for kills.

It's really not that bad but you can have your opinion. Guys throw ammo, revive, etc... I mean sure many times it isn't smart to revive so yea you're not gonna get nonstop team elements but it's literally as fun as any battlefield, not sure what else to sayBut it has never been this bad.
Agreed. I like to play classes ideally focusing on there strong points. For example as support I was throwing smoke grenades to help everyone advance and laying down suppression. I always throw down a supply bag when I ever see anyone close by.But it has never been this bad.
Survivability comes down to keeping tabs on enemy helicopters and AA, proper flare usage, getting low and/or behind cover when out of flares, and moving fast and some what unpredictably to avoid RPGs.
If there are a lot of people on the other time looking to counter your heli you're just gonna have a bad time in my experience so far (I've really only started to try to play the helis [in this BF, I played a lot in BF4 and Hardline] in the last week or so).
Yeah, I've been playing since BF1942. Battlefield history has been two decades of people bitching squad play is dead. It's not. There's as much teamwork from randoms in BF6 as the series has had in a long time. It's really not that bad but you can have your opinion. Guys throw ammo, revive, etc... I just don't get what yall are referring to, I mean there fucking smoke everywhere half the time lmao there's bags I'll happily record this stuff, there's literally everything you guys mentioning happening out there. It's like you guys have a script for a match and if it doesn't go according to the script like 100% Rez, 100 % suppression etc... Then the game sucks or the match is bad. I'm just saying lolAgreed. Every time someone is killed I would jump up like a jack in the box and throw smoke and proceed to them with the defibrillators.
Seldomly do I get revived or given a supply bag!

The CoD complaints are ancient at this point too. If anyone was playing during the BF2142 to Bad Company when the series abandoned its PC roots to go casual/mainstream, they'll remember.
Well if people keep singing the same tune then there must be some truth to our observations. I'm enjoying the game immensely at the moment, so it's not that much of a problem for me.I just don't get what yall are referring to, I mean there fucking smoke everywhere half the time lmao there's bags I'll happily record this stuff, there's literally everything you guys mentioning happening out there. But I know how this song and dance goes nothing I say will make someone change tune but there's plenty of what eveyeone is saying here going in but the variables are endless given how many players you come across especially in hundreds of matches.
Game is awesome, can't put it down when I get going with it... Gonna have to cut the cord tho for crimson desert

We aren't an anomaly. My friends notice this and online I see people mention this on other forums and YouTube etc.Yea but sometimes in a small tiny space like a forum, the tunes aren't always the full reality imo. I don't think it's a perfect game but it's a damn good BF6 overall

That's what that map is supposed to be, have you never played Operation Metro or Operation Locker before? The new map is terrible. It's just constant explosions with people spamming grenades and noob tubes.
There is no skill, no tactics, just spam. What a piece of shit.
Yea keeps making me accept the tos also.On PS5, it keeps asking me to accept the ToS every time i go back to the menu. Is this happening to any of you guys?

Not really, I don't follow any controller pilots on YouTube and a quick search doesn't give me too much confidence. I think the principles are largely the same and you'd want to practice on an empty map. It's very difficult to learn how to fly a heli in a live game as it's hard to survive just learning the controls let alone people trying to kill you. I just search in Community for a Portal server, usually if you sort by most popular you'll see a bunch of empty servers that reference flying on Operation Firestorm like in the videos that I posted.I don't suppose you could recommend a PS5 tutorial please? I'm absolutely useless flying helicopters and aircrafts. I'm the bollocks in a tank though.
Yes it's happening to me as well.On PS5, it keeps asking me to accept the ToS every time i go back to the menu. Is this happening to any of you guys?
Yeah the full version looks a lot like Operation Locker without the outdoor portion (but don't worry there's still extra paths). Oddly enough I never had to use night vision goggles when playing the full version.I only had time to play the TDM version of the new map on night mode. Is there a bigger version of this map? Unfortunately my baby has decided I've other plans for the night![]()

Yeah the VCR-2 is probably the best assault rifle. I'm glad they added the vz. 6.1 full auto sidearm, I like having a decent sidearm when I play recon with a sniper rifle. Hopefully they'll release the Shorty 12G as a sidearm at some point, that was my favorite one in BF4. I wonder if you can get akimbo vz. 6.1 like in BFH, probably not though. It's a pretty sweet map overall I love some of the choke points.
Loving the VCR-2 as well since I unlocked it

Yeah those choke points are nice. If you don't have the "A Joyful Nurse" Trophy, getting revives at those choke points is even better than doing Casual Breakthrough. Most players actually wait for the revive since there's so many medics around.
Only played like 2 games last night, but the first thing I noticed was when you do a double plate-up, the 2nd plate is just missing the animation. Just a visual bug but very annoying. I haven't seen the disappearing loot but my buddy did. This team is actually retarded. Not sure how they miss some of these bugs. Typical one step forward, two steps back type of patch. At least they fixed the uav visual cone...The patch is a complete disaster from a Redsec perspective. Maybe 1 or 2 legit bug fixes, at least 5 issues that are just plain worse now including the ping fix somehow being to make the pings even worse. I'll probably be able to mitigate it some with HUD settings but the whole thing is really disappointing.
So now guns just randomly disappear off the ground or loot boxes milliseconds after opening them.
Mission rewards boxes almost always go tumbling now, even if they land on the slightest incline... and while the anti-vehicle boxes have worked from what I've seen, that is they have always had launchers in them in my games today... buuut, mission rewards just up and disappear at an even higher rate than before. Just like the guns, sometimes they are there and then disappear during the tumble. We lost out on approximately half of our vehicle rewards today.
I haven't actually seen the supposed weapons lockers open up late game for more looting opportunities. Just that they weren't open at the late mid-game... but it could be set for later... but even if it does work... The weapons cache missions are just completely gone. It was supposed to open up just the mission leftovers. So I just lose one of my favorite mission types as it has a guaranteed anti-tank rocket, intel for extra XP and a decent selection of guns if I'm in a pinch.
Exiting a tank now has very distracting glitchy graphics that disorient you and get you killed.
The new underground POI doesn't seem very good or interesting. Higher tier ground loot just doesn't mean much if it inhibits you from doing missions and getting custom loadouts.
I have no idea what the hell the live service team is doing, this is almost as bad as the patch where you just couldn't pick your game mode anymore.
Yeah the two-plate glitch is very consistent now. But I will say there have been animation bugs with it all along. I've had it do both plates with absolutely zero animation.Only played like 2 games last night, but the first thing I noticed was when you do a double plate-up, the 2nd plate is just missing the animation. Interesting, I've never seen anything wrong with the plate animations until this patch. Ranked mode would be cool. I assume they'll be adding that along with solos. I wish I got to play solos when they had the test weekend, my buddy said it was pretty enjoyable. The most annoying thing about these bugs though is that they are so god damn slow to address them. I don't expect any of these bugs to be fixed until their next main update in mid April. And then, it's like... what are they going to break with that update?Yeah the two-plate glitch is very consistent now. But I will say there have been animation bugs with it all along. Granted we had a decently long session on launch day... but I have to imagine there are still many more new bugs to find.
Apparently, they've added strings referencing a ranked mode. People have been speculating that they're targeting Season 3 to really inject some life into Redsec (i.e. maybe actually doing that big money tournament finally that they had canceled) while letting Warzone Black Ops Royale have the spotlight all to itself (doesn't sound like people like it that much but I haven't/won't try it). I get the feeling whatever they do it's going to be too little too late for Redsec. But for now the queues are still reasonable so I can't complain too much.
I haven't played it yet but I'll probably hop on tonight. I always hated Metro and Locker but I loved Redacted from 2042. So we'll see where this one lands.
I did not care for this map at all. It got taken out of the map list quicker then Blackwell Fields (which I've since reinstated on occasion).I haven't played it yet but I'll probably hop on tonight. I always hated Metro and Locker but I loved Redacted from 2042. So we'll see where this one lands.
But what don't you like? Redacted is indeed an awesome map but this isn't something so far and away different than any of Dices closer quarter full sized maps.I did not care for this map at all. Battlefield always shines better on medium or larger maps IMO. You mentioned Redacted and I know people seem to hate 2042 but I actually quite liked that map. It also had some "meat grinder" areas but also more open spaces. Underrated map IMO.
I generally dislike the smaller BF maps as to me that just isn't what BF is about. Battlefield to me is about the bigger maps, vehicles, and more methodical team play. The small maps don't really have any of that and have always felt like a ploy to get COD players in. I only play Conquest and that has always been the case outside of Bad Company 1/2.But what don't you like? It's got side lanes, choke points, a fairly open middle hangar with some underground tunnels. It's decent.
Redacted was good I loved it, the only difference is outdoor areas but I don't think it makes this a bad map by any means
I'm currently working on leveling up the VHX/VHS and the GRT-DMR (I believe this is a Polish Grot IRL). I've always been a person that tries everything and never really sticks to 1 weapon. Even back in COD 4 times or BF3 times I would level up everything. In a different note what guns are you all using currently?
Yea I think it's just a preference thing most likely, it's more for me just a mood I tend to not always want the huge maps, like I have a different style and mindset for them really is all but while I am a battlefield player over cod all day every day i do like smaller maps mainly for quicker engagements when I only have an hour it so.I generally dislike the smaller BF maps as to me that just isn't what BF is about. Redacted was sort of the exception, and I generally preferred the more open "outdoor" (I put in quotes as I believe it's actually all in some sort of dome IIRC) areas then the tunnels.
For me if I want to play frenetic maps where the goals is just to get as many kills then I would just go play something like COD/Halo. It's just not what BF is about IMO.

I would say my go tos are: AEK-971/Kord, MP7/PW7, Ultimax/U-100, and now the GRT-DMR. The AEK and MP7 are just so versatile and are almost too good.
Currently using a mixture of a few, mostly just to level up some different stuff. I'm using SG553 and the new VCR when I'm trying to tryhard a bit more. Both of those are exceptional. VCR shreds. Also using the UMG40(ump) and L85A3 just cuz I like they way they look and sound lol. They're both a bit slower but still satisfying. Always been an UMP fan.In a different note what guns are you all using currently?
I'm not sure about a buff but it has been pretty great since Day 1 IMO. It's got a great rate of fire which helps make it much more versatile than the other DMRs. The rate of fire also makes it pretty usable close range if I just switch some attachments around. I use the 8x optic with the piggyback that gives it a 2x option for close range.Yea I think it's just a preference thing most likely, it's more for me just a mood I tend to not always want the huge maps, like I have a different style and mindset for them really is all but while I am a battlefield player over cod all day every day i do like smaller maps mainly for quicker engagements when I only have an hour it so.
BF gunplay will always forever be better than cods so that's what I love
Yea the kord is my go to. I'm actually gonna start on the GRT as well, did that get a bit of a buff?
VCR-2 is just a beast can't wait to max that out.
Repurchase? It's currently $42 on Steam/Xbox. Wasn't it $35 on Black Friday? Pretty close pricing wise.Want to repurchase this again, still waiting on BF pricing or something close to it.
Yeah I sold it like a month or two after the October release date. MP is tough, but didn't really put much hours in it.Repurchase? It's currently $42 on Steam/Xbox. Wasn't it $35 on Black Friday? Pretty close pricing wise.
Also it has a free trial right now which should be on all platforms.
Are you stateside by chance?Yeah I sold it like a month or two after the October release date. MP is tough, but didn't really put much hours in it.
Only completed the first two SP missions as well.
Would like a physical copy too.
