Micropolygon Rendering in Anvil Engine | Tech Demo

What this engine really needs is a layer of AI slop slapped on top of every frame

Going by the UE5 games I've seen, they also need an adaptive texturing system to maintain high texel density on surfaces with intricate geometric detail.

Some people in this forum laughed at me for stating that I think that Ubisoft, for all the shit that you can rightfully throw at them, have pretty good in-house tech. The version of Anvil that runs AC Unity is still producing pretty visuals with solid performance. AC Origins still looks and runs great. And what I have seen of AC Shadows, it is a beautiful game and I have not heard any major complaints regarding performance issues or bugs. It's mostly the game design that lets Ubisoft's stuff down, and retarded management decisions.

I watched this earlier when it dropped and it was such a random ass video, like was it by accident 🤣

Its cool tech, basically their take on nanite and their games are always environmental first so thats pretty cool

Still a random ass video

Both snowdrop and anvil or anvil next or whatever they call it now are great modern engines...

I dont know if far cry is still running on dunia or the modded anvil engine but their tech really needs an overhaul.

Rubberband coop is stil mental in todays age

Anvil has been one of the best engines in gaming for years, it's just unfortunate it's tied directly to Ubisoft. I'd love to see some other developers using it.
