Its sounds like you are trying to completely resolve any consequence from the one party of this situation and the bike ride was not the inciting incident, the response is.The instigating incident is that he was joyriding on unregistered bikes through a suburban neighborhood with children which already violates multiple laws (and sets a terrible example if they are his children). Alan is in the wrong unless proof comes out showing that the other guy physically assaulted him.
I live in the real world. Why would I risk my career, health, or the safety of my kids just because somebody is yelling at me? Tennessee is a stand your ground state after all. I would walk(or ride in this case) away. I would apologize if my neighbors were that pissed and use my wealth to trailer the bikes to a course because I don't like to shit where I sleep.
He should not be allowed on a bike if thats what makes him lose control of itOr the guy just yelled from the side of the street, Alan looked his way maybe flipped the bird again lost control and fell off his bike. Angry and embarrassed he took it out on the guy.
Plenty of scenarios either way, but I would generally err on the side of the guy punching someone in the middle of an expensive suburb being the one in the wrong.
I'll wait for the investigation. Too many variables to really know what's gone on here. Also, lol at the thread title - reaching much?
Not everyone is going to see your point of view, so getting aggressive with them instead of talking to them politely is your galaxy brain idea of handling a situation because someone wasn't reading your mind on exactly how you want them to behave and act.

Alan didnt hit the guy because he was speeding, thats a silly line to connect here.
In the real world you learn to handle things properly and If the neighbor handled it exactly how he says he did in his own words, then I can see how this incident occurred.
I dont care where you shit or eat, if a grown man starts getting aggressive with you in front of your own children you are not going to just drive away.
At least I hope not, because the lesson there is to run from adversity and never stick up for yourself, to be a conscientious objector.
Again we dont know what happened. Just what one guy who already admits hes an asshole in his own telling of this story and the last 10th of a full incident on video.

- Mark Wahlberg literally performed a hate crime, still super successful
- Jon Hamm abused a frat member so badly he broke his spine and nearly lost a kidney, still super successful
- Coco Chanel was literally a Nazi, still super successful
- Boy George handcuffed his boyfriend to a wall against his will, wouldn't let him go, and beat the shit out of him, still super successful
- Rick James kidnapped and tortured a 24 year old women for 3 days, still super successful
- Anthony Kiedis, Steven Tyler, Kid Rock, and Ted Nugent have all admitted to sexually abusing minors, all still successful
- Sean Penn tied Madonna to a chair against her will and abused her for 9 hours, still super successful
- John Lennon is an admitted wife beater and abuser, still super successful
- Pete Townsend used his own credit card to access a child sexual abuse site, still super succesful
- Brad Pitt is accussed of physical abuse from Angelina Jolie, and his own children have disowned him, still super successful
But yeah, Alan Ritchson punching some rich asshole is definitely going to end his career
Didn't Russel Crow also beat up a mater'd with a phone or something?
Do you think violence is never warranted? For example if someone starts acting hostile towards you and your family?Lmfao, some of you actually condoning physical violence

The fact that some random suburban guy wasn't even trying to fight back but still only walked away with a few bruises and then Alan immediately lost control of his bike like a dork might have a bigger impact.Canceling an action star for getting into a fight with another dude? Ain't gonna happen.
I think the guy assumed he could say whatever he wanted without consequence because it's a famous actor, and I'm in front of my own house, and no way is he ever going to... oh shit, he's a-coming!why would you even pick a fight with someone that size? like, look at him! dude is jacked as hell and tall as a tree.
edit: I just realized that the same question also applies to the assholes in the Reacher series that try to mess with him.

There are also a billion examples of people losing their careers over being an asshole, this is nonsensical cherry-picking with no context.

Based on the video here I don't think it's so clear-cut. We don't know exactly what caused the incident. The other guy doesn't seem to be acting like a victim, more like a douche. And the way the motorcycle is on the ground seems like Ritchson had to swerve or something.
Time will tell.

Do you always believe the first thing you read online?Yeah ok, it's totally reasonable to blame someone who got punched and kicked because they said "fucking." Galaxy brain indeed.

Shit, season 4 viral marketing in action!Typical Reacher plot twist.
He gets framed, turns out he is innocent![]()

Reminds me of the idiot in this video, who won't stop mouthing off at a former pro heavyweight boxer, and ends up starched. Justice was served.
So Alan is not allowed to enjoy activities with his children if the neighbor doesnt like it, thats just silly.I'm being objective. This situation doesn't happen if Alan took his kids biking at a course like a responsible person. The situation doesn't happen if Alan gets the hint and goes elsewhere after being flipped off by the guy for the first time. Alan's irresponsible actions kicked off this chain of events. Alan chose to turn an argument into a fistfight. Alan is undeniably at fault. You're also downplaying the fact that the video isn't in a random public place, it isn't at Alan's house. The event takes place in front of the victim's house. Do you teach your kids that its OK to be a public nuisance around other people and assault them if they get upset? And you accuse me of living in fantasy. I bet you would also be bitching if the neighbor had done the responsible thing and let the police formally handle the matter.
You have to be doing a bit now. I'm sure the multi-millionaire riding expensive bikes through a rich suburb truly faced a moment of adversity when called out for acting like a cunt by a pudgy middle aged guy half his size. That teaching your kids to avoid needless conflict will make them into "conscientious objector". Hilarious stuff.
He fucked around and found out, although I doubt he can remember much about it. Luckily there's always the video to remind him.Bro didn't even see that punch coming while he was telegraphing his arms in everyone's faces.
Or he was thinking about lawsuit city, just gave him enough to humble him a little. He fucked around and found out, although I doubt he can remember much about it. Luckily there's always the video to remind him.
Shame the Reacher actor is all muscle and no power, that dweeb should have been left twitching on the ground.
If anything that's the more damaging part for his career - somebody like Tom Hardy would probably have done a more thorough job, and if I was a casting director I'd bear that in mind.
Nah dude, Alan gave just the right amount of feedback. No power? It's called holding back. We all know he could have beaten that dude to a bloody pulp. He exercised restraint, that speaks volumes about a person's character. He fucked around and found out, although I doubt he can remember much about it. Luckily there's always the video to remind him.

Seems like the neighbor tried to kill himStill need more information but that does vindicate alot of what I have been saying
Neighbor was big mad his wife swooned over the Reacher shower scenes.Seems like the neighbor tried to kill him
Didn't look like he was thinking much at all - after he picks up his motorcycle he accidentally twists the throttle and loses control of it.Or he was thinking about lawsuit city, just gave him enough to humble him a little.
Adrenaline is a hell of a thing after a confrontation.Didn't look like he was thinking much at all - after he picks up his motorcycle he accidentally twists the throttle and loses control of it.
I wonder what led to him dropping the cycle in the middle of the street with the engine running?
It's all very unReacherlike. I couldn't imagine Ethan Hunt having a fight with a bad guy, then being so flustered that he jumps off a skyscraper while forgetting that he didn't pack a parachute.Adrenaline is a hell of a thing after a confrontation.
Reality and fiction are two very different things. I don't understand what you're going for here. It's all very unReacherlike. I couldn't imagine Ethan Hunt having a fight with a bad guy, then being so flustered that he jumps off a skyscraper while forgetting that he didn't pack a parachute.
