MGS2 running on a potato hardware had it 25 years ago. This is really getting annoying in 2026 and on the hardware designed to run hardware RT pretty efficiently.

This is some very noticeable image fidelity regression. The tech has not evolved since start of PS4 Gen. Infamous SS looked like this.

Nu-devs don't know how to make games anymore. They are too involved being activists.
 
It was a poorly orchestrated demo with some very unconvincing player behaviour in approaching the set pieces they've put together.

But ignoring that; I means it's simply a poor man's Uncharted, with slightly less polish.

Still looks pretty fun to me.

Should be fun to play it stealth like a proper Bond/Bourne game (e.g. Splinter Cell: Conviction).
 
Watched a few seconds, looked good enough to me. Going in blind from this point on.

I'm not expecting it to be the best game I've ever played. Just want something fun to play this summer. Kinda like a popcorn flick. Looking forward to it!

No, it definitely looks smoother now.
Still, the part in the previous demo where it framerate really went to shit (inside the plane) is supsiciously missing.
 
If you showed me this footage without telling me this is a Bond game, I don't know if I would ever guess that this is a bond game.

I've been skeptical since the first official reveal and the more I see the more this looks like a generic 7/10 PS3/360 era 10 hour long singleplayer game that you would find used at GameStop 2 months after launch for $30.
 
I kind of was interested in this game when it was announced but since then, every time I see or hear about it, I become less and less interested.

So a James Bond for "modern audiences" with AI enemies which seem to get worse every time they show new gameplay... Yeah, I think I'll pass.

We have tons of amazing restaurants around where we live, but sometimes I just want Domino's Pizza, man lol

That's around where my expectations are for this one.

If I get 5-10 hours out of this, awesome. If I beat it and it's mostly enjoyable, even better!

If it completely sucks ass, then I drop it and move onto the next game and whatever.

Don't get me wrong, I played and enjoyed many of those games during that era, I just wasn't paying full price for them. Same goes with this game. In a couple years when it's $20-$30 on Steam I'll probably check it out.

Now I may have no idea how those VFX were before, but these explosions and particles look great to me. They don't feel "downgraded".
Kind of encouraging for PC Path Tracing performance too, especially now that they'll have more time to work on the implementation.

I've heard base consoles feature 60fps modes as well, curious to see how those perform with RT GI.

My Gifs are not infested with assist at all lol, Aim Assist in Uncharted looks completely different even on a visual level. You clearly have no idea of what you're talking about.
And the Settings pic come from a YT video, just to show what the game allows to select and turn off.

I obviously play with assist to 0, because I'm not geriatric, I don't suffer from arthritis or osteoporosis, nor do I have brain damage preventing me from using analong sticks.
I simply play the game the way the developers intended the game to be played, and how they played it themselves.

The animation work is clearly holding this back, especially with the inevitable comparaison with Uncharted 4 which nailed this aspect 10 years ago. And even overall the Glacier Engine is just not impressive anymore. As for the story, IO is not know for it's writing so I'm not holding my breath. Gameplay side it seems like more of the same, pasted from Hitman with a few tweaks.

Overall probably a 5 or 6/10 game.

Lots of people replied to that Tweet asking about the base Ps5 version, and they are promising it will offer "smooth 60fps".
Hopefully that's true.

Unlike most people in this thread I actually think the game looks cool. But it's an instant skip if it doesn't run decently on base PS5 (or if the IQ is complete trash).

That's still up in the air imo. The original reveal had some confusion on what it was captured on. There were a lot of claims that it was base PS5, but the actual b-roll sent to the press was clearly marked as "Captured on PS5 Pro". And yes, that had the same frame drops as the reveal stream and was identical in every way.

So I think we haven't actually seen the base PS5 version at all. Lol
 
It still baffles me having a 'see through wall hack' for a stealth game. Even if this is to make the game more accessible it should be off by default.
The whole purpose is the suspense of what's around the corner... If you know, what's the point of playing?
AI also looks dumb as shit.

Yeah this just does....nothing for me the more I see it. The HUD is the most damning aside from the antiquated look and mechanics I've seen. I don't like how its colors clash with the environments. It's distracting as hell. Hopefully there's an option to change its appearance to a dark white or grey. And even that wouldn't be enough to push me to drop 70 on it. I've been real good with purchases lately and focusing on my backlog. I avoided Saros and now I'm dodging this bullet.

But I have excellent games Im just sitting on that I havent touched yet like Pragmata. Waiting for Mouse PI to get fully patched up. I still have Crimson fucking Desert bro.

Hitman had the ability to hide all that shit, so I would think it applies here as well. I'm with you in hating this HUD. So much clutter, button prompts and hand holding.

The usual bad AI in these games. He knocks someone out and the guy 2 feet away doesn't react because he has his back turned. Jumps over a counter making a bunch of noise and no one in the room hears. A guy looks right at him directly as he moves behind a wall and doesn't even react. The enemies are just punching bags that are standing around.

Did you even read what you posted?? There states that you can do all the things you said, just of course never 360º and more move levels of speed, just like in EVERY other game.

And looks like you need a dictionary or watch Baby Driver to know what retarded means, especially at the camera/aiming parts of the game.

I can enjoy my version at both ways as I am not limited to kb/mouse only. But as analog movement, as in every other shooter, offers ZERO advantage, I play with the commands that give less limitations, especially in speeds of the commands and button layout (fuck claw grip). 🤷‍♂️
