You guys are crazy, I love the crazy bright colors and the inky blacks. You put the S screen next to the Titan and the htc looks dull by comparison.

I went in to the AT&T store today to play with the Titan again, and when I held the two next to each other the Focus S looked awful. The colors were way off. Maybe it was an issue with that phone, but it looked really bad.

to be fair, you really need to go in and turn off automatic on both and pick a level and compare makes a huge difference. I am getting used to the Focus S colors a "little" better than original focus but still a bit over saturated. I admit the HTC colors are a bit more washed out but in general use more pleasing to my eye and better reading contrast. Also the white does not have the blue tinge as on F-S

It's easier now I think. I bought a Chevron Unlock code and then deployed an app from XDA that enabled Internet Sharing and Interop Unlock. Everything took about 15 minutes.

This sounds simple enough. Do you have a link to this internet sharing app? And all one needs is the Chevron unlock?

I'll have to stop in again soon and give them a try. Can't wait to get my phone on Tuesday and register for the free $25 marketplace credit. Gonna have to start researching what the must have apps are.

Downloaded Zune today and I'm really impressed. So much better than iTunes.

Anything and everything is better than iTunes lol.

I am of the camp that think the Focus S screen is better. Ended up getting the Titan due to my preference in the build, but that Focus S screen just popped. Colors might be a little saturated, but I tend to like that. Didn't mess around with a mostly white screen, so I can't comment on the blue tinge.

Ended up ordering a titan and gave my Galaxy S2 to my sister. I've always liked zune so that and the massive screen sold me on it.

For Samsung phone

It will also interop your phone (mine was already interop). I couldn't get it to work however, not sure if it's because At&t is blocking it. The option show up but I can't turn it on.

Thanks! It looks like they're still working on an HTC implementation. *crosses fingers*

How are you guys doing with Battery Life?

These benchmarks from Engadget aren't that encouraging compared to the Focus S:

Focus S - 4:24
Lumia 800 - 2:40
Titan - 3:00
Focus Flash - 3:55

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that the Focus S is a battery life BEAST.

The total opposite of the original Focus.

My Titan stomps my Focus in battery life so I'm not to concerned with it being less than the Focus S.

Right now my stats say 17hrs since the last charge, 35% battery left

ok using the Focus S for a day now and really like it. Still not a big enough screen size jump from Focus but I have the Titan coming next week to scratch that itch.

The screen is really friggin sweet though.

Couple of niggling issues so far:
Other party getting feedback on their end when I have speaker phone on, the head set lets you pause and adjust volume and speak but it no longer lets you advance track by double clicking the pause button as Focus does. :(

Camera and all features are definitely faster than Focus but not overwhelmingly noticeable due to the OS being so humble in its needs.

It will be a capable backup to the Titan (if I can adjust to the less brilliant screen on titan and if call quality is up to par on Titan) and most likely will be my fiance's upgrade one day as she would cower at the prospect of using the Titan.

Oh and interestingly enough my ATT rep told me I need a 4G sim card to get full bandwidth that my current Sim was not using

Should have Titan by Tuesday/Wed so I will know more later

HTC Surround on AT&T which I bought on launch.
Don't know what the problem is.

It always tells me there's no update is the problem.
click check for update, turn internet off, it should say there's an update available, then connect back the internet, and finally click for the update.

So I visited one of our "Holy" Grounds yesterday for the 1st time. I had never seen one in person and when my eyes spied it I was immediately drawn to go on in.

What happened to the faces of the two on the right?

No. Handled by a seperate company.

Hmm. How long is the standard upgrade wait period when you get a new phone?

It just seems strange that, I got my phone in October of last year, but my upgrade is July 2012. In January, I got a replacement phone via insurance, which would make my upgrade period just about a clean year and six months.

Yeah WP to WP. During the Mango Beta and subsequent upgrade Zune allowed me to keep my texts. So the capability is there.

A OS upgrade isn't the same as a transfer between devices, the messages were retained in the upgrade due to the backup as were your apps, currently there is no way to transfer sms/mms between handsets, nor back them up via zune.

Bah, I paid like 6 quid to Chevron unlock my phone hoping to get new accent/theme colours and didn't realise you also need to be interop unlocked (and HTC's can't be yet under Mango). I really should research these things before jumping in :*(

I will say the MS store was selling basically all of their phones for free on contract even the new stuff. Yet I was like nah I'm good I already got a WP.

I think that in and of itself shocked them that in and of itself that someone already had the phone other than people coming in with tech issues, and obviously I wasn't. The bigger shocker was I was said yeah I got my phone right around launch a year ago. I think they sort of had this omg people like you really DO exist sort of feeling. LOL

PS: They had other cool stuff, and I can describe the store more if people actually care.

Is there any way to share apps between family? With my iPhone and my fiancee's ipod, I just had my account tied to both so that when I bought an app she could use it too and vice versa. Any way to do this with our new Titans without pushing my profile/settings on to her?

No they are tie to your Live account.

You sign a 2 year agreement with an upgrade and it typically takes 20 months before you are allowed a full upgrade again. Good payment history and a high monthly rate plan are both factors that determine the amount of time. I've seen people with Unlimited everything and they can upgrade every 12 months despite signing a 2 year agreement.

Yes you can do this. I have my current Windows Live ID on 2 Windows phones. You can use the same LID on up to 5 devices at one time. Once you buy an app it's available on all devices your LID is associated with.

Will having my Live ID attached to her phone affect her experience very much? I don't want her to be restricted by what I do with my phone.

You can have only one Live profile per phone. If she doesn't need her Live for other things and doesn't mind using yours then yeah.

Personally I would rather keep my account separately, I mean most apps are free or a few dollars.

Need advice guys.

I've had a DVP for a year and my wife and I both really love the OS. It's time for her to upgrade from her putrid Blackberry Bold, but we are on TMO in the US, which pretty much leaves the HTC Radar as our only choice. Quite underwhelming, especially considering I could get her a boss phone such as the Galaxy S II.

I hate that TMO has put me in this position. Should I wait for CES, introduce another OS into our house or settle for the Radar?

EDIT: I guess waiting for the merger is out, huh??

I played with a Radar at a WindowsPhone event and it seemed pretty well made. I didn't really like the form factor but I think people have said pretty good things about it as a whole. I have no idea what T-Mobile has planned though.
