Is anyone willing to continue the thread "Pro Tips for life?" This thread started a long time ago and it was one of the most interesting threads I ever read in Neogaf. Unfortunately it was derailed but I was hoping if anyone is willing to continue this it would be great. Some of the facts I read there was really life changing for me.
 
This is pissing me off. My Dad purchased this recently. All I wanted to do was play my Wii. So, I bought some component cables off of amazon. Hooked it up only for me to get a buzzing noise and flushed out colors. Yes, if you are wondering I changed the video setting on my Wii. So, first of all Is this a sign of bad Wii cables? If not does this mean I need to re calibrate? If I do need to re calibrate can someone help me out on re calibrating the TV for free?
 
I'm trying to find a part time job while going to school full time and have no idea where to look. I'm a little behind in the "life skills" department.

Ideally I would like to do something online from home, but I'm guessing that's extremely difficult to luck into.

Where should I get started?
 
So Thunderbird is acting like a douch and suddenly ask for my my.email.adress@gmail.com@imap.googlemail.com password every 5 seconds.

I have no idea why he's doing that and when I enter my gmail.com password sometimes he's coming back right at me, sometimes he's done for 10 minutes or 2 days... Help ?

Edit: none of my other gmail account linked in Thunderbird is acting weird.
 
If a lawyer pretends to plan to defend someone in court, but ends up intentionally fucking up the trial to make the other party win, what crime is that, if it is a crime?

EDIT: I'm talking about in the USA, because I don't think I'll be getting answers pertaining to other countries' systems from this forum.
 
Before this past week I'd get alerted when I went to my Amazon cart if the price of stuff I previously put in my cart raised or dropped. But I haven't been getting those alerts all of a sudden. Is this happening for everyone (maybe because of the black friday insanity) or do I just need to clear my cache/cookies or something?

I still get them. Just happened.

It looks different though and it's smaller.

I don't think that's a crime...? It's not a smart move though because if people found out it'd hurt the lawyer's reputation and then no one would want to hire him.

If by fucking up, you mean intentionally disrupting or jeopardising a fair trial, that can put anyone in contempt of court. If you mean intentional negligence, that's legal malpractice.
 
Is there a way you can transfer ALL of your Word documents and Pictures on your computer at one time, without having to do it individually for each, doc/pic?

A frequently updated thread with an active OP has been left to die, and the the thread author has offered me to take it over. Can the mods do this sort of thing, or should I just create a 2.0 version of the thread?

Anyone know of comic publishes that take submissions? So far I've checked Antarctic Press (which does, but limited) and Oni Press (which do not). Any suggestions?
 
I doubt I get an answer here but...

in 3DSMAX, my render always crashes on SECOND render because of my particle system. Every... single... time. Something leaks memory like a bitch. How why what when?
 
I don't know much about PC, but I have this Dell Inspiron and the soundcard is built on the motherboard. Can I buy a new soundcard without creating conflitcs/problems?
 
My gf wants to get the ball rolling on another child, since it's my sperm she wants (luckily) it's put me in a strong position of bargaining.

I've decided that if we're going to do this, I want one of these two things: She will be my sex slave for a month, or I can buy a Sony HMZ T1, without her complaining about over-priced gadgets. I'm tempted to go for the former. What do you guys think?

Sex slave. The head-mounted display is nice, in fact, it's the first one I'd deem usable, but sex slavery gels so well with pregnancy.

Plus, you could still buy the display after the month and get some shit from her. But the other way around, there's a way you can't betray her like that.
 
You have a choice of three cruises:

Ships are comparable. FL trips require you to spend a night in Orlando. Which do you choose?

Pretty exciting, as I've never had a sex slave before.
 
Is a "warranty deed" the same as the deed to my house? I'm currently refinancing and they need the deed. Warranty deed is all I can find in my paperwork for my house closing.
 
I seem to have this memory of a teacher once telling us about how there were human rights that contradicted slavery while there still was slaves, but they didn't contradict one another at the time, because the slaves were not considered human. Can anyone help me with any information on this?

What's a reasonable price to sell an Xbox 360 (non slim, pre-HDMI, 20gb) for? My friend wants to purchase mine, and I have everything that came in the "pro" pack including the box. It's also been fixed before, so he shouldn't have to worry about it failing.
 
Safe removal of USB's. How pointless is this feature? Should I bother? Up until like two weeks ago, I had never ever heard of anyone having a hardware failure because they just snatched the usb out of the socket.
