Knocked this up:

--Wrestler Category--

Best Overall Wrestler - CM Punk - Despite his "selling out", he remains one of the biggest reasons to watch every week and as entertaining as he'd have been running around the indys with the WWE title imagine how much worse Raw would be without him
Worst Overall Wrestler - Kelly Kelly - She can't hold a candle to the likes of Maria, Keibler, Mickie in terms of looks and she wrestles like ass. None of these alone qualify her for worst, but the fact that she's booked and treated like she's got the technical prowess of fucking Chris Benoit is insulting. If divas don't count then I'll say Alex Riley, for his all around terribleness, only being carried by the talents of the Miz and his theme song
Best Wrestler on the Mic - CM Punk - His inital promo for MITB alone would put him here, but he went on to carry boring contract signings and meaningless confrontations into enjoyable segments. Prior to his face turn he had also been making the most of his shit situation with Orton + New Nexus. I haven't been nutty about his xenophobe shtick against Del Rio, but this doesn't take away from his past accomplishments
Worst Wrestler on the Mic - Roderick Strong - His look and style already cements him in the vanilla midget category and he somehow makes a bad situation worse by deflating any heat at all. Honorable mention to RKO, but it's unfair as I've never liked his style of promo and it seems to get the job done.
Best Worker - Dolph Ziggler - He's consistently in some of the best matches on the card, which is especially notable given that he's been double booked twice in as many pay-per-views. He's the perfect worker in that he makes other people look better, he makes Zack Ryder's godawful finisher look like he's being hit by a bus.
Worst Worker - Mason Ryan - He meets the worst stereotypes of meathead WWE guys. Worst of all, he isn't even actually strong. For all that show, he has trouble lifting up even medium sized guys
Best Rookie Wrestler - RD Evans/Archibald Peck - I hadn't heard of him before this year so I don't know if he's a true rookie, but my god, he is one of the most entertaining people I've ever seen. His match with Colt Cabana at High Noon was one of the most unique matches I've ever seen, in a very good way. He could easily be in the WWE as a "sometimes forced into a match dirtbag manager" and it would be a very good thing.
Most Improved Wrestler - Dolph Ziggler - Dolph has never been bad per se, but he's really starting to be the highlight of the show. He's starting to find his voice on the mic and that's what will seal him in as the Shawn Michaels/Mr. Perfect of the next generation.
Most Declined Wrestler - Kurt Angle - Depressing.
Best Comeback - Jay Lethal in ROH - RANDY SAVAGE *Clap-clap* *Clap-clap-clap* (I know this wasn't what the point of this category was, but no retired wrestler coming back was great this year)
Time to Retire - TNA - Either the old timers division (Hogan/Sting/Flair) needs to retire for realsies or the whole company. I've heard they're improving again but I've been fooled by that line before.
Best Finishing Move - Kick to the side of the head - I'm a huge fan of non-finisher/roll up endings, I've seen both Daniel Bryan and Punk win with solid kicks to the side of the head. These are interesting endings to matches and add a different dynamic than we're used to with the current product
Worst Finishing Move - Kelly Kelly roll up - If your face can win every match with a surprise roll up against 'dominant' heels, to the point that the heels have to cheat, ya done goofed
Best Theme Music - Cody Rhodes - He's had three theme songs and three gimmicks in this year. Each gimmick/theme has been amazing and I expect big things from him in the next year. Too many honorable mentions to name, WWE got really good this year with new themes
Worst Theme Music - Mr. H's - I love Motorhead as much as the next guy, but FFS The COO should have been a different guy from The Game

Best Manager - Hugh Jackman - Of all the guest hosts we've seen he seemed the one most genuinely excited in being there and genuinely put Ryder over. Honorable mention to Vicki Guerrero, though they need to find a way to let Ziggler graduate from her stable without turning him face
Best Announcer/Announce Team - Stanford/Regal - Only team this year that I liked all around. Honorable mention to Ultramantis Black and CM Punk, who manages to consistently entertain me when they take on announcing duties and not break character

--Promotions Category--

Best Promotion - ROH - I've only barely checked out their show, but Best in the World was amazing and Final Battle is looking good
Worst Promotion - TNA - lol
Most Improved Promotion - Chikara - Year over year they seem to be growing and getting better at what they do
Most Declined Promotion - TNA
Best Storyline - CM Punk character revolution, June-July - (obviously)
Worst Storyline - CM Punk character assassination by the coward Randy Orton, March-May - "Randy Orton was able to beat Punk and the New Nexus in a 3 on 1 handicap, but can he overcome CM Punk alone this Sunday!!!?" Thankfully they learned from this and are now using Orton to put people over
Biggest missed opportunity of the Year - Alberto Del Rio not finding his DESTINY at WM - I'm glad it turned out Edge got to leave on a high note, but this really deflated nearly a year of Del Rio's build up

--Event Category--

Best match of the year - Punk/Cena MITB, July 17 - Perfect storm
Worst match of the year - Anything involving large teams of divas or divas going over the 2nd (lol) rope
Best PPV theme song of the year - Bright lights blimablam CITEEEH
Best segment of the year - Punk announcing his plans for Money In The Bank etc. - Nothing has sparked wrestling excitement like that since 1997
Worst segment of the year - Cena @ The Rock's birthday bash - Way to bury an entire fucking roster in favor of a dude who won't be wrestling until nearly next year
Best PPV of the year - Money in the Bank - Honorable mentions to Survivor Series, High Noon, and Best in the World
Worst PPV of the year - Over the Limit 2011 - An extension of every bad booking decision since Mania and the cause for Chavo's release. Dishonorable mention to ROH Final Battle, I'm sure the show was fine but the card was wildly bland given the amount of press they had at the time.
Best Video Hype Package - Miz/Cena retrospectives at Wrestlemania - First good hype for the match happened during the entrances. Oh well.

--WrestleGAF Category--

Best Gif - The one where fake Cara appears on the monitor and then real Cara (in the ring) points at it. Or the one where the two Caras point at eachother from across the arena

Worker I think is purely based on his wrestling skills in the ring. Wrestler is the overall package.

Seems odd, no?

his whole gimmick was an outsider, he wouldnt shake stephanie's hand cause it touched hhh,

Correction: he wouldn't shake Stephanie's hand because it had touched Triple H's cock. Allegedly.

then 2 weeks later he's sucking mr. hs off wearing his blazer

Sounds like you're angrier at a botched angle more than anything. I don't know why you'd take that out on the only good thing to escape the sorry situation.

fuck him, jeff hardy was right all along - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6GcrIBhBWA

I don't consider Jeff Hardy a source of much insight. Don't know why.

so with WWE PPV buys dropping and the PPV as a source of income slowly going away does wrasslgaf have any ideas to replace the monthly (or twice monthly) PPV tradition for WWE/TNA?

seems like its a old idea that needs doing away with but it still brings in enough money right now to keep around.

Monthly SUPER UBER RAW SUPERDUPER SHOWS?

maybe air them free? so every 4th week you get a extra WWE show on sunday.
would a wwe PPV airing free bring in enough ad money?

Cheaper prices in america. Honest to god I cant believe you guys have to pay $50/60 to watch a WWE PPV. thats crazy.

Since I don't think it's been discussed, I really enjoy how ROH is handling the TV Title, and using it as the main title.....for TV. I know it seems obvious, but it's exactly how I wish the WWE/TNA treated the midcard belts. If the main event talent aren't involved in some sort of high stakes match, the midcard/tag titles should be the focus of that particular episode. Leave the WWE/World/TNA titles for PPV's only. Really doesn't help the declining PPV numbers when you do everything you can to make the PPV's mean nothing when we see endless main title matches, and rematches on TV every week.

All they have to do is decrese the amount of them. If they insist on having more than 4-6, I think 8/year would be the best number. They could probably get away with INCREASING the prices if they didn't have so many, and people wouldn't even notice.

Wow I just read the total buys for Vengeance wow. Second lowest in company history. No you know why Rock was brought in for SS.

8 pay per views is the way to go because everyone buys the big 4 so only really need 4 more so that can help increase the buy rate. People knew the Rock was going to wrestle at survivor series so that in turn made people skip the other two. Same with whats coming up now. People won't buy TLC because next month is Royal Rumble.

When he stopped showing up to post as often.

Also Frankman's CAW is on roids.

The Nation of Domination cheats, uses controlled and uncontrolled substances and Frankman is no exception. He's going down the path of his hero, Ahmed Johnson

Best Overall Wrestler – Davey Richards – Totally underrated talent and had an awesome, year+ long feud with his tag team partner Eddie Edwards. He totally deserves everything he is getting right now in Ring of Honor and elsewhere.

Worst Overall Wrestler – David Otunga – Miracle On 34th Street Fight aside, I literally cringe every time I see him in the ring. Make it stop.

Best Wrestler on the Mic – CM Punk - Pipebombs.

Worst Wrestler on the Mic – Tough Enough Winner Andy Levine.

Best Worker – Sarah Del Rey (Chikara) – Sara Del Rey really stepped up this year with great matches against several male competitors including Mike Quackenbush and Tursas among others. She is currently in a storyline where she is running through members of the BDK one by one in singles competition.

Worst Worker – David Otunga – See above.

Best Rookie Wrestler – Sin Cara – Botching aside, he is the best talent to come to the WWE this year. Hell, even his botches make him more entertaining than a lot of the main WWE roster.

Most Improved Wrestler – Dolph Ziggler – This guy can sell better than any used car dealer at your local Mazda lot.

Most Declined Wrestler – Drew McIntyre – You were the chosen one!

Best Comeback – Daniel Bryan – It looks like he’s finally found that fire after creative seemed to have forgotten about him in an infinite loop losing streak.

Time to Retire – Goldust – Give him one last run vs Cody Rhodes.

Best Finishing Move – La Mistica (Sin Cara)

Worst Finishing Move – RKO Out of NOWHERE!

Best Theme Music – Ride of the Valkyries (Daniel Bryan)

Worst Theme Music – TIE – Dolph Ziggler Remix, Orton I Hear Voices, Daniel Bryan Valkyrie Remix, Wade Barrett

TNA losses money on PPV's, they only keep doing them because they would rather go out of business then do something differently then WWE.

Kind of annoying that they censored people's language on the new Austin documentary. Really? What's the point of doing that on a home release where they're talking about "match finishes" and "heels" where the target audience obviously skews older. Hopefully the promos aren't censored as well.

Aside from that, this is good stuff though.
