Diablo 3 Beta [Beta withdrawal underway!]

got into the beta today... Didnt do facebook or any competitions. Just regularly submitted my PC specs and had Real ID disabled. Also have all Blizzard games but not an active WoW account (no preorder for D3).

I'm somewhat disappointed with the graphics quality. Everything seems blurry and out of focus. Hopefully this is a beta issue to be resolved on release.

Congrats! I don't think they have much in the way of AA right now, there is just the yes/no option and I'm not sure what level it is but I imagine they will have some fancier options when D3 releases.

The graphics could definitely be better but I think the UI (mmm resource orbs), art style, and animation really help to make up for the visual shortcomings.

Hell yes! Checked my Battle.net account and I am in! I have been a long time Diablo fan so I am fucking ecstatic about getting to play this!
 
I've been lurking in this thread for a while but I figure it can't hurt to say that I'd love to get in on this beta too! What's a guy got to do??

Weirdly enough, I checked my BNet account (a particularly convincing spam message sparked it) today randomly and got in, so I'll add my voice to this. I definitely didn't get an email.

have they actually done any useful content update?

or is it still the old up to skeleton king beta with some new features? ;/ I think i've killed skeleton king too many times ...
 
so i got into the d3 beta but i wasnt emailed at all. i just randomly logged in and saw i had access. is this a new wave today or have i been missing out for a while? :(

I know who I'm giving my extra beta key to if I ever get one...
 
Checked my battle.net account once again ... still no invite /cry

If I had a dollar for each time I checked my battle.net account :)
 
In the next beta patch (currently scheduled to hit sometime next week), we will be turning off achievements to facilitate further service testing. During this time, characters will be unable to earn new achievements or complete any additional objectives of achievements already in-progress.

Please note that this will only be a temporary change, and that achievements will be available again in a later patch. We don't have an ETA for the release of the patch that re-implement achievements, but we’ll be sure to provide an update in the coming weeks.

But it's nowhere near like the crafting system in WoW :lol except maybe... enchanting? But the whole "speak to blacksmith, give him book of training to upgrade his gear and then create a random generated item"-thing is new and awesome!

I really hope they keep adding stuff. Since some of the items are recipes found in the world, its tempting to either make the item or sell it in the AH. :D

Enchanting seems very WoW-ish, especially some of the ingredients you need to collect.

I also love be able to remove Gems without loosing anything. :D

And the whole random property-thing seems to be very common when you craft lvl 60 stuff. AWESOME!

*Oh looks like they removed all the neat items stats on Legendaries and Sets.

:D And don't forget that crafted loot will probably never be as good as epic loot in Inferno!
