Series 2 Episode 1. Do it.
Even after seeing that so many times, the part after the show still makes me laugh so hard I can barely breathe.

Hint: He isn't actually disabled... at all, him and the bartender work with Jen (the one making the confused face) in a basement IT office of a huge company.

show has a laugh track, nuf said ;\
You gotta have watched the show and known the characters somewhat.
No, it has an audience.

A live audience doesn't mean that a show still doesn't enhance the laughter with a laugh track.
I watched the first three episodes of IT Crowd and had to stop. My tolerance for laugh track (or annoying live audience) shows has gone to 0 since Seinfeld and Fresh Prince.

You mean... again? *cue laughter*Yeah, I'm all about the comedy sound effects these days. *trombone noise*
Nice. Very nice.

Do you feel this detracts from live stand-up comedy performance movies also?A live audience doesn't mean that a show still doesn't enhance the laughter with a laugh track.

What would be the point? That would be as inappropriate as watching The Office or 30 Rock with a laugh track pasted on. Some shows are designed to have laughter, some aren't. If the laughter turns you off in this new era of single-camera no-laughter comedy that's fine but you're missing out on a lot of funny stuff that still plays to a live audience.Have you ever watched comedy shows with laugh track without the track? There's a big difference between stand up comedians and 20 minute TV shows...

One thing I've always wondered though, especially on a lot of BBC comedies, they have portions in a studio, and then other portions filmed on locations. Do they just add a laugh track onto the location shots, or do they actually bother to show those filmed bits to the audience on a screen?

I was not expressing an opinion of laugh tracks or studio laughter. Although I don't see how stand-up is comparable to a sitcom. One is directly interacting with an audience.

Probably been posted before but this hits so close to home.

According to police, the thief got in the car and told the girl to get out. After she got out, police said, the thief must have realized he'd have a problem driving manual transmission because he left the scene without the car.
