So much anger in this thread, lets all hug and double dutch rudder. And then we can bake muffins and paint each others toenails and braid each others hair.

Well all get hugs at the hug party. Except for Recon. He's in the back posted on the wall hating everything he didn't bring to the party.

in non hating news I got an infection on my hand that resulted in bruises and blisters all over it, and it hurts like a fucker, so I havent been able to play games or produce anything..been a shitty month overall

Too much masturbation?

whats cool about that AOTY thread is I just noticed I share at least one album in common in the top 10 lists of everyone so far. Shows you even if your tastes are significantly different, there is something in hip hop two people can relate on.

It just shows me how much damn music I still have to listen to.

I really want to like section80, but fuck, the beats do nothing for me. FMH was that West Coast Sound I wanted. Every guest feature I hear Kendrick on he fucking murders though.

I would love to hear Kendrick over FMH type production. I agree, the majority of the beats on section80 do nothing for me. Spiteful chant is my shit though.

The Spiteful chant is everybody's shit. If you have any swag in your soul, You can't not get hype as fuck when listening to it. It's the 'can you ride in miri's whip' litmus test.

Here's mine. Got top 4/5 albums solidified just need work on the second half. Pretty tough narrowing it down to 10.

Will post in AOTY thread with points distribution and what not.

Gonna post a write up for my albums after finals are done, right now I have no time for anything. Got rocked by my K's final today :(

This is true.

I've been on a RED kick recently. Well, pretty much just the first 4 tracks. But damn, there was the beginnings of a really good album here. And yea, Kendrick is insane on The City.

Macca, I think you scared away most of the lurkers with your thread title, lol. Too much of an association with the all evil GAFHOP.

I'm surprised Jay Rock is so well liked. He just seems really...generic. Not great. Not terrible. But of the 4, he's the worst by a lot.

sn: while I'm bringing up Def Jam, any of yall ever play the games?

Vendetta was tight. One of the best wrestling games I've ever played.
FFNY was decent even though they moved away from the wrestling.
Icon was a clusterfuck of ridiculous shit.

Wish they'd make another one and go back to it's wrestling roots.

I wasn't aware we were only supposed to listen to musicians we wanted to fuck. Guess that explains Phoenix's top ten list.

I played the fuck out of the first two Def Jam games. Loved kicking the shit out of rappers I didn't like.

I was talking more on her looks, but I don't think she's a good rapper/singer either. Sounds like a generic underground white rapper who happens to be female

The first 2 were amazing games, then they destroyed the franchise by giving it to the Kinect douche instead of just letting AKI work their magic. EA is forever dead to me after that no matter how many Mirror's Edge's, or Dead Space's they make.

he made fight night round 3; one of my favorite games of all time, and the game with the best soundtrack ever.

I've had Yesterday's future sitting in my backlog for the longest time now. I'll listen to it if you say it's that good.

His sound is pretty generic. But there isn't really anybody else doing that sound anymore. Dre is nowhere to be found, and Game is putting out decent tracks here and there.

Jay Rock's rapping doesn't detract from the beats, his voice is pretty easy to listen to and his production is pretty damn good.

It is that good. I'm a big Beatles fan too so I feel like the production had to be on point for me to enjoy it and it was. (I'm looking at you Evidence.)

I'll start it up now. Hell, I don't even know why I slept on it for as long as I did. I thought 5:01 Overtime was pretty good.

It is definitely worth a listen. Also, can we get rid of saying "generic white underground rapper" ? If I started going around saying "Generic Black swag rapper" i know i would catch some shit.

Just you wait until I get my list ready!
