Pretty sure only Gaf-Hop overrates him. Aside from a few choice cuts here and there, the two best things he's done are his first album (Spell My Name Right) and Well-Done.
He was stronger on State of Grace than he was on Well Done.

My top 5:
5.
Tiron & Ayomari A Sucker For Pumps
These guys came out of nowhere, and Im fucking glad they did. They arent them most lyrical of fellows, and there subject matter doesnt make me question anything, but, from front to back, they know how to assemble one fun album.
4.
The Roots Undun.
Im not getting the supposed story behind this album just yet, but I want to eventually, and Ill keep listening till it comes into view. Thats the highest praise I can give atm.
3.
Thurz L.A Riot
Hard hitter. Hard hitter. This album knocks in all different directions. And its calling for anarchy is quite cathartic.
2.
Nujabes Spiritual State
This was easily the weakest of his albums for me, but thats not to say this was bad. It was amazing, and the feature artists actually carried weight this time around, its just that it didnt resonate as well as his previous two releases.
1.
Curren$y Covert Coup
The moody understated nature of the Alchs production along with Currensys train-of-thought flow came together to form this holy unison of throb. Spiita may never have released MCC, and has saturated the market with samey sounding tapes for a little while too long now, but it goes to show that the hustle always pays off. This gem that still gets a daily rotation from yours truly.
*Here's 10-6 in another post.
I didn't even end up including Bronson, KRIT, or Cunninlynguists. Such a good year for hip hop.
