Well, the 30% slow is nice too. I use it the same way I do with Nunu's Ult in LoL. I assume it will hit no one, but it will cause the enemies to change their path, or be slowed.

I don't play leeg, but don't do that with CM. Her ult isn't spammable, and when it does hit for a period of time it hits fucking hard.

Blink on CM is just a shittier version of Blink Lina, Blink Lion and Blink Rhasta.

And CM can't farm as well as the other three can.

Having a good Sand King game is so exhilarating. GGs OC, Con, and company!

Our Antimage (OC) had so much money by the end of the 2nd game that he ran out of things to buy.

iA.TERMYTE: whos swag
iA.TERMYTE: Oh milkman
iA.TERMYTE: nah he just gets carried by his best buds
iA.TERMYTE: i beat him one on one every time
iA.TERMYTE: So I think ill follow dendis build over milkman
iA.TERMYTE: cause no one has ever heard of milkman
iA.TERMYTE: except for all the bads at GAF

Thanks swag your item build for ns sucks.

well i just had the worst game of my dota career. Between 1 and 15 seconds of lag, all game. But I was CM, so all i had to do was not be dead all the time to be useful, which I accomplished handily. Didn't even have the most deaths on my team. And when I had 1700 gold, instead of manning down and buying a drum I manned up and bought a stack of wards and 4 stacks of counterwards. Because I love my team and that's how you fucking play support.

Remind me to try someone less squishy in inhouses in the future.

Is there some kind of voice room btw?

I got a sense there was when no one ever responded but seem organized. :lol

I think there's a GAF mumble:
We use Mumble

Server address: chi.eoreality.net
Port: 67439

Just check in at the Heroes of Downtime room and listen to me bitch at Kagete for 20 minutes because he went Lothar's on Viper. :)

Seems I keep missing the in-house games... anyone wanna get one (in-house or non) going now?

No clue who that guy is, next time you post something like this, at least provide some backstory kthx.

DK vs Pudge (me).

He started with Soul Ring + Branch.

I do typical Tango + Bottle + Quelling.

What do I do against this fucker?

Some random TF2er and apparently a Dota 2 player. What else do you need to know?!?!?!?!

I wanna know if Botolf tried the Aghanims build and failed, and if that Termyte guy got mad and then yelled at him, and why he thinks I'm Arta.

Posting one side of the conversation is super lame.

Was nice playing with whoever I was playing with. The transition from Dota to Dota 2 is a lot harsher than I was expecting, even after playing a few games, it almost feels like a completely different experience. It's going to take me a while to get used to it, probably a bit longer considering I'll still be playing OG DOTA since none of my real life friends have been added into the beta yet.

Hope to play with you guys some more in the future!

That was fun, I see why some people dislike Nature's Prophet, such a farming machine. (Too bad I took retarded items.)

Not a bad game for my first time against actual people, I feel. Especially since it felt evenly matched.

You can't win that lane, unfortunately. One of the toughest lanes for Pudge since DK has so much staying power and a long-ass stun.

Remind me to try someone less squishy in inhouses in the future.

Meh ignore that spectator Niro. He's a real prick, you did fine with what you had. Lich is a great hero to play, and while he's squishy, he's really safe and formidable in lane. I probably shouldn't have played Pudge that game but rac baited me into it >_>

No clue who that guy is, next time you post something like this, at least provide some backstory kthx.

He's some random player, no need to worry about it, it's already taken care of. Not worth spending any time on him.

I tried to spectate the last game you guys played and wanted to see the player view, but none of the camera options actually did anything. Is it bugged or something? Or can you not spectate a private game?

Also I'm still struggling with the fact that I don't have direct control of my character and I have to keep bumping the edges of the window around to see what's happening. Are there any alternate control methods? I tried using the Camera Grip option but as far as I could tell, that also did nothing

Thank you, now I feel less bad about letting him freefarm.

Also, picking DK against your pudge now and forever.

(he didn't level stun though. At least, if he did I never noticed. It was just flame breath and regen.)

some of the names people are using in this game....

GGs, Arta carry Nightstalker! Also pleased to see him build both Eul's and Aghanim's for him :D

I don't recall the game you refer to (who was I trying to build a scepter on?).

GGs Bungie and Botolf-save-my-ass-with-grave-more! Great teamwork that last game, we pulled it together and managed to beat their 3 carry strat through some awesome pickoffs. I'm surprised at how fast some of you are improving game after game.

Nah, that's not what happened. Basically Termyte watched me play Pudge and then trashtalked me to rac during the game (I have no idea why, I did nothing to provoke him), making a bunch of bizarre claims (i.e. why would I waste time playing 1v1 in Dota2). Rac tells me about it and next game Tom and I call him out on his shit talk, but he acts like it never happened while simultaneously badmouthing rac in private messages. After the second game is over, Termyte refuses to play and eventually apologizes, admitting that he did say everything rac posted.

Now I don't care personally for people who talk shit as long as 1. they man up and try to back it up, and 2. they don't pretend like they never said a thing when they're called out on it. Take Puppet for example, he's called me bad so many times but at least he's willing to play against me (and lose LOLO). Termyte on the other hand managed to violate both rules, and that's just pathetic. Not the kind of person I'm really interested in helping improve or playing with on my team, you know?

Sebulon, I have a question about your Sand King build. My first time playing him was in an IH, and I noticed I could not last hit to save my life. I ended up using Q to do it once, and someone told me to just get a Quelling Blade instead. Should this be a part of Sand King's build regularly? His damage seems too low and animation too slow at the beginning of a match.

Yes, if you are having trouble last hitting with a melee character then a Quelling Blade is a good pickup.

typically sand king isnt the hero thats supposed to be getting the cs in lane
if however, he is, yeah sure why not

Yeah, our teamfight coordination seemed to be more harmonious than the other team's in that game. Outside of teamfights, we were so aggressive that at times I found myself falling behind, lol. Would have liked to have saved more people with Grave, but I'm fairly satisfied with the saves I did manage to make. Started noticing they began to focus me in fights, or at least attempt to catch me in a chronosphere or stun early, but Void lacked the damage to finish me in its duration. When he failed to catch me in it, I had the poison touch and grave to slow him down (saw him once abandon a chronosphere when he caught two of us, but missed me on the edge).

Dazzle's a lot of fun :3

(I'm not starting another controlling argument here guys)
Try setting up WASD to control the camera (ad opposed to the directional keys), and move the skills to something around it (QERF i was what i use). You'll need to rebind attack/hold too.
There's a few people who use this method of control around, including me. Its pretty legit regardless of what people say. Don listen to the haters.

I always take quelling blade as a melee character, 300+ ping always.

On a slightly related note I found funny US Gaffers where whinging about 160ping the other day.

Get on my level hoe!

I always use the mousewheel click-drag approach, with the standard qwer for skills. I found it way more intuitive than always bumping the edges of the screen or scrolling with wasd. That's just me though.

Any EU players up for a game this evening, possibly? I'm not terrible, honest.

QB is mainly for carries and situations where if you dont get last hitting power youll never get any cs. If you are having trouble you can go QB but its not really an SK item.

It hits hard but you have to stand still to use it, awesome for farming creeps real quick.

I have actually used it for that as a last ditch effort to stop the creeps from destroying our Ancient, it did delay the game anther 2 minutes.

As far as I'm concerned DOTA2-GAF absorbed HoN-GAF into its own being. So DOTA2-GAF is by default, the saltiest.

Nope, the rest of Gaf is going to dilute that salt to levels found in bottle water.

You broke me that game, lol. But to answer your question, like I rather you get a Quelling Blade then use your mana to stun creeps. Like you rather sit in sand storm then use your stun to farm creeps and also max out skill 1 then spreading it out on skills 1/2/3. You range increases as you level up skill 1 so stunning heroes becomes easier to pull off.

Things I like to point out during the laning phase you were being very scared and would never initiate on Lion but then when the team fights came you ran in like a madman!

The teamfight where we lost the top racks, I saw you go from the side I knew what you were going to do and quickly typed nooooo don't and you went in head first and stunned and our team got wiped. Our team was most likely going to lose anyways but if we had any chance what so ever it would have had to be a perfect play. At that point you wanted them to initiate on us and then you should be using your portal key to ulti in. We had Furion, the longer we held defense the better he pushed lanes.

He was also sitting on 5k :( David buy something!

But it was your first Sand King game and my Morphling game so I did some dumb shit too, level 2 death because I was on 200hp, lol. But doing this in the laning phase is where you want to learn then during teamfights where you pretty much can cost your team the game.

Like my game throwing moment was when we were pushing top lane and I was on my way to you guys, it was risky taking the rune route, as I knew the other team might have had wards and we never had any and just as I feared all 5 caught me, I had token of life which I forgot I even had because I was to mad getting caught as we had the advantage at that point.

From the 3 inhouse games that I did play yesterday, only the first game was a good game in the sense that there were two teams in it.

The next two games where Milkman played with us, he went and stomped people 25/5 in both games. It did not help him going Bounty Hunter and Pudge, I don't know why you went them heroes but considering who you were playing against you needed to pick less annoying heroes. We had no players on your level to match you against and you still went with your favorite hero and a invisible hero which less experienced players find difficult to deal with and you went around 3 shooting people to death.

Another point I like to point out, guys fucking speak! its like a funeral when I play with you guys, it would help out with teamplay. Like I tend to talk but for some reason when I played the inhouse games I said nothing. I think if I hear no one else talking I don't bother too, rather not talk to a wall etc and man I hate typing other then typing SS.

No MrMister is right, Dota 2 Gaf is the most saltiest. HoN Gaf was never salty much, it just had the most trolls.

Phandy, Wes, Spookie & Lirlond and my self. We play and have a chance of winning if Meteorain is not around. Tre was our token player, American of the Americas.

Sorry I confused you for Rac for some reason, I was wondering if the Agha first NS build failed him or something.

For SK I tend not to go QB unless I'm in a solo lane, I like to play him as a roamer / ganker, so I never saw the need to have one. If your having issues feel free to go QB, but I don't see it as necessary on him. If your having trouble hitting creeps as their about to die, just animation cancel, as his attack animation is quite short and doesn't have a long wind up.

If your watching the game live then you don't have access to any of the camera modes, because it's live. Those only become available if you spectate using the Dota TV list, because it needs the 2 minute delay for stuff like Directed.
