Wow... I just read Manics twitter account and posts here. The guy's gone crazy. It's just a message board. We're all just having a bit of fun here, no reason to swear at people (except when in good fun)

Dallas just seems a couple of steps ahead of the B's. Our transitions just aren't leading to shit right now.
 
I accidentally opened the Penis Size-Age thread thinking it was this thread and saw a post about thickness and girth and immediately assumed Forza was already back.

Bah with this shit again. I guarantee Wendel isn't an alt as I play tf2 with him and he is active there. Plus, I don't think they'd pick such a pro leaf name. Check the tf2 community thread if you don't believe me. Next you'll be saying I'm an alt.

I've only seen Manics in the a song of ice and fire and the Toronto threads.

What a depressing start to the year. RIP Manics. :(

Does anyone else not give a shit about the Winter Classic this year? I'm not sure if it's the fact that I find these two teams completely uninteresting or if it's just general fatigue of the event. 24/7 is a great show but it doesn't really add to the hype for me or anything like that.
 
I'm pretty hyped for it, mostly because of 24/7. Should be a good game, and if anything, a good way to eat up my afternoon.

I'm looking forward to watching, if only because its the day after New Years and I have the day off with nothing else to do. As long as the ice holds up it should be fine, wasn't last year kind of shitty because of the weather?

Why haven't they invited Canadian teams to play yet?

PS- Nice to have a proper OT for a change, it felt like we were slumming it for the first couple months.

Canadians have the Heritage classic... as far as Americans are concerned the only NHL teams are like Detroit, Philly, Boston, NYR and Chicago

Should be quite interesting; I want to see a winter classic with teams that aren't obvious. Rotating the same teams is getting boring. Do they pick teams based on success or what here? I don't think it should be restricted to early teams. To me the classic part is playing outdoors.

I think they pick teams based on location, and the rival team of that particular city. Last year's was definitely more "Sid vs. Ovie" than anything else, though.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Winter Classic in Minnesota vs. Dallas.
 
There's no doubt in my mind that we'll see Bruins vs. Rangers in the next 2-3 years. It's not that the two teams have a particular rivalry, but I can see the league playing up the Boston vs. New York thing. I just don't know where they'd do it since Yankee Stadium seems to be booked for some college bowl for the next few years. Maybe MetLife Stadium where the Jets/Giants play.

In somewhat related news, I just watched the Bruins Stanley Cup DVD and still have a silly grin on my face.

Favorite moment was at the beginning of Game 1 SCF, Ference says to Burrows: "You're not that tough and you're not fooling anybody."

Well Detroit did win last night, so I count that has a good start, but yeah, this thread will now be boring except for a once in a while Socreges book like post or Tabris sucking off the Sedin's post, this community will never be the same.
 
2012 is looking better for the Capitals. Ovechkin is starting to become more consistent along with Semin. The team has to start putting up an effort for 60 minutes and not 20 minutes.

I thought the Winter Classic was today. Is it tomorrow because there's football on today?

I feel exactly the same way. I'm just not as pumped and I can't figure out if it's total lack of caring towards the teams or the winter classic doesn't have the same feeling as the first couple.
 
What are you guys talking about that this year sucks? Henrik is at the top of the league scoring. What more could you want?
