I had to do this last January with the Atlanta-Green Bay game.

The entire time I was at work I was wondering what might be happening.
When I finally got home I settled into my chair with a beer and excitedly started the recording, with the expectation of enjoying a good game that I had looked forward to all day, or actually, all season.

It started well, but I impatiently started to fast-forward through commercials...then fast-forward through the play clock countdowns...then I might have accidently went past a GB score....then the suspense made me keep on fast-forwarding...

And then there it was, the end of the game with a final score of 48-21 looming down at me. I had flashed through the game in about 3 minutes. We were blown out, the season was over, and I didn't even get to enjoy the game. I had gone from unbounded excitement to bitter disappointment in less time than a standard commercial break, and I hadn't even so much as sipped my beer.

There are dangers to tempting the power of the DVR, my friend. Win or lose, it is only to be used by the strong-willed.

lulz, the bet was that the texans would either win or lose. i honestly don't give a shit about what two crappy teams do. truth of the matter is most AFC teams wouldn't even be participating in the playoffs in the NFC. our #3 seed would be a #1 seed in the afc. the texans and bengals would be drafting top 5 if they played in the NFC

I was thinking about Flynn all offseason, because he is a WCO QB and would fit into our scheme very nicely. However, a 1st round pick is robbery.

why would we trade for flynn when phoenix rising was the best QB in the conference.... nay, in the league. 7 total turnovers the entire year... jay cutler has had that many in one drive before!

Because Mike Mularkey is a fool, Donahoe as well but to a lesser degree, and Drew Bledsoe is one of the most selfish players to ever play the quarterback position.

The offense was boring and predictable, Moulds was past his prime and Evans was a rookie, no TE either with a shitty OL. Up to the backs to get it done, we pounded shitty teams with a great D.

Doesn't matter though, Drew was QB and he did whatever the fuck he wanted to do. Dude would call different plays, would force everything to Moulds because he bailed him out. Didn't care about helping Losman either, not that it would've mattered. Drew was such a dick that they dumped his ass for a guy with almost no reps due to a leg injury, nuff said.

Clements was a scapegoat for shitty coaching and bad personnel management. Someone had to go.

Edit: they all went in the end.
 
A bit late on this but Angelo and Martz gone? I guess some good was salvaged from this season. The ultimate goal remains for the McCaskeys to relinquish their hold on the franchise, but this is still good.

I swear, in Pittsburgh all I hear is how Mendenhall isn't the answer, he is gone after this season, time to get another RB. It is insane considering what he has done on the field. Hell, last year in the playoffs he was the reason we got to the Super Bowl with his performances against the Jets and Ravens. He was running hard in the Super Bowl until the fumble.

And I will laugh when the Niners get pounded by the Aints and then I get to hear your excuses and how it wasn't realistic to think they would get to the championship or even teh superbowl. AND you're repping the NFC when you have the lolions and the Falcons who recently lost to the Texans getting into the playoffs? Now I know you're trolling.

Not the Raven game, he rushed 20 times for 46 yards. Yeah, he banged in two TDs from short yardage, but he has been unable to do that this year. He played better against the Jets but that game was won with the Steeler defense early. I don't hate or love Mendy. He's average IMO. If the line is blocking well, he's good. And if they're struggling, he's completely a non factor.

the bengals do suck but come on, the texans? you should be rooting for them this weekend. they have alot in common with your 49ers, a great defense and a fucking garbage inept quarterback. at least yates has the excuse of being a rookie

Indeed. I've always liked him because he can have some really great games, but his performance in the Super Bowl solidified my view that he is just not the type of RB that the Steelers need in our current offensive scheme. He's neither a pounding back that fights for yardage like Bettis or a dynamic back/receiver like Sproles. He's a two yards a run back who barely gets out in the open anymore, and he fumbles much more than I'm comfortable with.

I like him, I really do, and I'd like him to stay on as possibly a third down back, but we need someone much more like Sproles in this day and age.
 
It didn't take long for someone to take the loudmouth, talk a bunch of shit crown away from the Jets. If I was Suggs I would focus on getting to the AFC Championship instead of bashing on Tebow. I guess Ball So Hard University doesn't teach class.
 
Mendenhall says stupid things and tends to disappear more times then not. But i cant see any valid reason to get rid of him at this juncture.
 
Ugh, I just read that no QB has ever put up a higher passer rating than Romo did this year and not make the playoffs. Fuck you Rob Ryan!

give me a fucking break, TJ yates couldn't hold alex smiths jock. yates started 1/3rd the games of alex, had almost as many turnovers and had just as many losses. yates is a fucking joke. there is only one QB on your roster that can take you to the superbowl but your coaching staff is too fucking stupid to realize it
