Real Pic January!

I feel the same way. News anchors always look like they're trying to eat your face. O_o

News anchors are pretty terrifying, but they can't beat TV English program "teachers" in Japan for creep factor. Did you ever watch any of those? I couldn't help but watch them, they were so fascinatingly terrifying.

Speaking of news anchors I saw the strangest make-up on one the other day. She had eye-liner over the curve of the lid and two lines on each side. Is this a thing now? It just looked bizarre to me.

Japan has some weird pizza, but I've liked a lot of the pizza I've had there actually. They're willing to go places American restaurants aren't (of course there are some lines that just shouldn't be crossed.) The one time I got American style pizza in Japan it just tasted odd, however :<

That said, since it's currently about pizza, as New Yorker, I can say that NYC's pizza's ridiculously expensive at this point. I haven't eaten from a local pizzeria in a while besides the 99 cent Pizza chains that sells cheap ass pizza for a buck a pop. It's surprisingly decent, so whenever I'm at mid town, hungry and near one, I pop in and order a 2 slices with a drink for 3 bucks.

Yup. I was mad when it jumped to $2 a slice, but then some places went to $2.75 and I was ready to quit pizza. Thank god for 2 Bros Pizza though, I was so happy to see slices sold for $1.

Caesar's is only good when it's REALLY fresh. if I've had it in my possession for more than 20 minutes it fades into generic bullshit land, and is the worst cold pizza ever.

I can't believe nobody else likes the taste of little ceasers. What the hell is wrong with me. I take that pizza over gourmet/mom and pop stuff all the time and not cause it's cheap.

It's all tastes good if you eat it once in a blue moon and are extremely hungry. Otherwise, it tastes o.k if you it every week to the point of where you get tired of it.

Every time in I lurk in this thread, there's always something new you folks are talking about (not that that's a bad thing). This is the most dynamic thread I've seen on GAF.

However, I typically get Little Caesar's from time to time because it's it's dirt cheap but it doesn't taste good. Papa John's though is king. Their pepperoni pizza kicks Dominoes ass so badly. I still like ordering Dominoes from time to time though. I guess I love them all equally.

I've had pizza in the Dominican Republic and I have to say, it tastes so much better than the crappy pizza in NY. I literally tasted all the ingredients with every bite. Plus it was pretty good with corn sprinkled on it. I can't say the same for out state pizza since I've never had any.

Goddamn. Nothing beat being at the Jersey shore (not that Jersey Shore) and getting dollar slices at midnight as the places on the boardwalk were closing down.

All right. I warned ya.

For those that want/need more reasons not to eat at Pizza Hut...

Some of the cooks routinely 'flavored' pizzas to customers they didn't like, girls, or just to random orders with the following:

Ripped out handfuls of pubic hair
Fingernail clippings
One guy cut himself and thought it'd be funny to add his blood to the sauce
Boogers
Hair
Bits of slime/gelatin from the cans of anchovies that no one ever ordered
One guy rubbed his shoe into the un-sauced dough before adding sauce
Rumor had it that another guy used to come in the dough mixer
etc, etc

Those are just what I remember specifically. :/

Man, I must be lucky. I'm a manager at a pizza chain, have worked in two stores for nearly 4 years, and I haven't witnessed anything even close to any of that. I have heard a story or two (at least one of which I KNOW to have happened), but never actually witnessed anything like that.

The worst thing I've ever witnessed was dealing with this douchebag that would come in every once in a while, and order multiple pepperoni and extra cheese pizzas. If ANY of these pies came out and didn't look exactly as they did on the poster outside, he'd call for a remake. Well, I warned one of our new guys about him so that he'd make the pizza exactly to spec, and he did so, and then dumped half a bottle of oregano on the top. The pizza came out of the oven completely black.

I'm currently making stir fried bitter melons and eggs to go along with leftover homemade roast pork. Side of rice with pesto because I'm Asian.

2 Bros? I've never heard of it. *Googles 2 Bros Pizza* I've seen those before, but I've never walked into them. That's good to know. I'll keep that pizza chain in mind next time I head downtown and have a craving for pizza.

Haha, I think I know which Jersey Shore you're talking about. I've never been there before, but I've heard so much about how good it is. Funny because I literally live right next to the George Washington Bridge (my building's right next to it). If I had a car, I would go over there in the summer since the beaches in Jersey are a lot better than NY's beaches.
