I was told that you evade all damage when your invisible. It's a Dota 2 mechanic I believe.

about that. if anybody else having trouble, try forceing steam to quit via task manager. just kill the process. after that it worked fine for me and my friends.

when do they update? also i hope we get some Group MM in later, I hate losing tho. We need to stop losing. Lion has no end game, so much fun at start of game then becomes less and less worthwhile =(

Lion has an end game, he has two ranged disables and a long range nuke, three disables if you farm enough to get the sheep stick. You're not carrying the team but he'll always have his use.
He's a prick but is probably better than 98.4% of gaf lol

Actually, some of the most fun games i've played as of late have been losing games where my team(and the enemy team) just eats shit and joke around.
I'd love for valve to make a 'no douchebags/ragers' bracket.
Okay, just don't play inhouses then? problem solved. Someone's gonna be a prick because someone else on the team isn't doing their job. All there is to it. Play with 5 people in matchmaking that know what they're doing and (hopefully) there won't be the need to be a prick to anyone. Most good players are pricks anyways. I doubt you'll be able to find a nice person/good player. Everyone gets mad in DotA/HoN/LoL/RISE OF THE IMMORTALS
Artainisix, HyunA, Freakinchair to name a few, my problem with Blackstar wasn't that he was a prick when we were losing, that's understandable, he was a prick even when we were winning, didn't understand why.

Honestly, being a prick is the only way some people will learn. Gotta put your foot down, na mean? Dota is serious business, you know this (after leaving 2 games because of baddies last night.)

I have outbursts. I've broken at least 3 keyboards between HoN/LoL/Dota 2 and the guys on Mumble know I can get salty. Usually I get mad at myself for playing like shit but ragers/trolls can set me off.
You can be a prick as long as your providing something positive to the player your being a prick to, there's a world of difference between these two statements, "You suck at playing that hero, please stop picking it" and "Hey maybe if you auto-attacked him while I kited we would've killed him, but you were too busy being a bitch and manning down". Both are being an asshole, but at least one gives the rage reciever something to work with. Sadly lots of people fall into the former rather then the latter, which is where the problem is.

Kag gets depressed and stops playing but he is the standout with Pillownight and would also give a nod to the twins Meeru & Azuki. I don't think I ever heard them rage out at any individual spouting abuse at people during games. Only negative thing was with them they would leave your games midgame to buy ketchup for the wife and that other thing, there was a thread about it.
I was kinda salty yesterday when you ran into the jungle as Enigma, when that ES had no mana and the Sven had cooldowns, although we wouldn't have won either way, but at least we would've killed them!
Meeru gets mad as fuck when he ganks a lane and you don't assist him with an initiation so he can come clean-up. Also gets perturbed when people call him bad, but he's not good at insults so anything he responds with sounds terrible.
swag i in no way blame you for last night. Those were two godawful games, no doubt about it.

Those that I think "look interesting" are Slardar, sand king, juggernaut ( really want to learn this dude but everybody say he is difficult ) and maybe even ursa or bounty hunter.
Anyone care to shove me in the right direction?

Don't play a carry till you understand the basics, and can actually get last hits in the creep wave.

What about venomancer? You can play him as a pusher or a ganker and he's not really that hard to play. The biggest problem is the low hp, but you can put a plague ward next to your lane to help you see the ganks in time.
Well I sure hope I've got the basics by now.
So Juggernaut is not the harder hero to play of the ones I listed?
Ah venomancer seems pretty interesting as well.
Juggernaut usually makes the short list of the easier carries to learn and play.

Easiest carry for me, so far, is Viper. By far. Him and Dazzle are the only two heroes I can mid reasonably well.

Erm, this isn't quite accurate. If you play Sand King, you can evade the stun on Mirana's arrow with a quick Sandstorm (but will still take the damage). You can similarly evade Sven's stun, but I can't recall if that does damage or not.
If you go invisible while a projectile is in the air, it will "miss".
This only applies to single targeted spells with travel time and ranged attacks, I believe, similar to manta and blink disjointing.
Although it's a pretty important part of high level play there isn't a comprehensive guide for it that I can find, very weird.

During the picking stage you may think you have a shit team, but once that am pick pops you know everything is going to be allright.
